At the very least, Rise and Grind Cafe has an interesting name. Without reading too much into it, it references the rise of the dough in the baking process and the grind of the beans as its excellent La Colombe Coffee is brewed. A saltier interpretation is also easily possible, but this is a family website. The corner store on North 7th Street, Perkasie, is large, bright and airy. Windows all around make for a pleasant room to sip and chat. Additionally, the floor space is taken up with cute household goods and accessories for purchase, from honey and jam to mugs and glitchy signs. Their pastry display is mostly locally sourced or made in-house. Very attractive in a down home way. I ordered the Breakfast Hash and large Java. The La Colombe was great and the meal was served in an aluminum foil lined plastic to-go box. It was composed of diced sweet potato, onion, green pepper and plenty of chopped sausage, with rye toast wrapped in foil. It was delicious with mix of savory and sweeter flavors and two over easy eggs on top slowly leaking into the mound of veggies beneath and adding their smoothness and subtle taste to everything. I sat at the shelf in the front of the store eating and watching kids with Easter baskets searching for painted eggs. It was obvious that Perkasie puts effort into being a family town. They put a smile on my face and made my drive up county even more worthwhile. read more

The food was amazing, hot, and fresh. However, when you go to a coffee shop you expect the coffee to be good. It was alright, but definitely wasn't worth the price. I got the cold brew with some cold foam. The cold brew had chunks on the bottom of the cup, and the cold foam wasn't foamy... it was still pretty liquidy. The chunks mean the cold brew wasn't brewed correctly, and it didn't taste too good either. Pretty disappointed. Also, my husband I came early in the morning, and it was very awkward and silent. No one was talking, welcoming, and the atmosphere was quiet. Some music would have been nice. Overall, not too impressed. read more

This cafe has been open for about a year now and I was happy to finally stop in the other month. I love that there are SO MANY options. It's like a mini mart, a coffee shop, a cafe and a specialty store all in one. I ordered lunch - a sandwich which was really good and I picked up some desserts for home! There dessert case was filled with goodies ! The owners are also super sweet. I wish them the best of luck navigating during this tricky time, they definitely are a hidden gem! read more

I have wanted to stop in for quite some time after hearing so many great things about this place. This cafe is nestled in the borough of Perkasie right on 7th street. There is plenty of parking and many shops to explore around that area. The cafe itself is very clean, organized, and inviting. There is a small market with local goods, perfect for browsing while waiting for your order. When I visited, I ordered a cold brew with almond milk and my total was around $7. The coffee itself was not great and almost had a chalky taste to it. I'm not sure if I just got a bad cup or if this is typical for the location. Regardless, it's worth a trip in to shop local! read more

Finally had a no kids, adult time breakfast this morning. We wanted to go to a place e never been before. Well, we found the perfect place. This hidden gem was a hit. My wife had raspberry French toast and she wouldn't share a bite. She said it was amazing. I had a 3 egg omelette with sausage and it too was great. There was a different café at this location previously. Not having eaten in a restaurant in the past year or so, I was a bit nervous. And my past couple of experiences at this location, prior to the current owners was not fantastic. It was a mess of a process to order and get coffee previously. Now, that part seems to have resolved itself with this new restaurant ownership. Although I prefer a full service restaurant, the process for ordering and being brought my food was welcome enough. The tables were placed far enough apart for me to feel comfortable with ending my pandemic quarantine, and the staff was helpful and very friendly. It was almost like back to normal. It didn't make me miss full service. And the place was extremely clean. The build your own omelette was a great value and very tasty. I've been cutting out pork and beef so the choices of toppings were many and great. The food is all served in takeout containers at the moment. Not an issue for me considering what we're coming through. Did I mention how attentive and friendly the staff were? That's the best part! read more

Rise & Grind has turned into my new go to spot. Their breakfasts never disappoint & the California wrap is AWESOME! Their specials are always new & inventive & are delicious every single time. The staff is wonderful & always friendly. My husband works near by & stops in whenever he can to get a coffee or sweet treat. My daughter & I will sometimes have our "mommy & daughter" time here because she loves the pancakes. I even give giftcards to my kids teachers as Christmas gifts. I recommend rise & grind to every person around! So happy to have a cute little cafe right in our backyard. This place is literally just a few minutes down the road from me! I've never been inside until recently and boy... the whole layout is great! They sell things from solebury orchards which is a childhood favorite of mine which caught my eye instantly. They also sell some produce and pastries along with some lunch and breakfast food. I think their coffee is pretty bomb, although a little pricey, but that's alright! I think it's definitely worth it. Although, what brought the rating down to a 3 star was the food. I'm a little salty about how much the food was for what we got. I paid $10 for the avocado toast as I thought it would come with a side of shredded potatoes (as it says on the menu). I even called to ask them about it and they just said they don't even sell shredded potatoes. I ended up looking at an older menu on google that included it before, but now they don't (my bad). We also paid $7 for a single waffle... Maybe I'm just being cheap, but we paid total about $34 with tip for this breakfast food (we also got cold brew with simple syrup and a London fog along with a side of bacon). Pretty disappointed with the food... but other than that, their coffee is great and the inside is very nice. read more

Very cute coffee shop, with a variety of seasonal options, baked goods, and comfortable and cozy space. I ordered a mocha latte with whole milk and a lemon bar. The latte was perfect, just the right amount of mocha where it didn't overpower the espresso, and the lemon bar was fresh and zesty. Definitely recommend for a quick snack or coffee stop. read more

I've come here multiple times on a Sunday and they were closed well before 1pm when the hours distinctly say on the doors open til 1pm. Disappointing for a local like myself who enjoys their coffee, lattes And atmosphere. read more

nice place. the coffee was good, and I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was very well made. the staff was cordial, if not overly friendly. would like to see a few varieties of beans, and really should have a 16 oz. cup. (that is the number one size in the industry.) i will probably stop again when in the mood for that sandwich. read more

The inside is decorated very nicely and is inviting. Understandably with covid eating in is a bit different. however I paid a 20% tip to have my food brought to my table in a to-go container and had to get up and get my own condiments and was never asked if I needed anything else throughout the meal. In addition the price that we paid in my opinion was too much for the amount of food that we received. I believe Sammy's Bullfrog in Harleysville and the Cafe@ The Mill in Sellersville beat this place with price, portion size and quality of food. read more

2 star is for coffee only, nice ambiance other than that it's below average. We went for early brunch, pancakes were under done, very doughy, breakfast potatoes with no taste very dry. They bring food to your table in a bag. They say that's how they serve for dine in. You have to add tip upfront when you order food, but no one come to the table to ask if you need anything. read more
