We camped out from 3.a.m. waiting for an extraction for their labor of love event (September, 5th 2016) today, and other than a litter bug, we had no problems whatsoever. As soon as the pre event began, we were greeted by some of the most upbeat, well groomed, helpful, courteous, polished and presentable staff i have ever met! They even helped fill out the paperwork because we couldnt read the spanish instructions (this was a printing error! Please dont consider this a biased moment!). My friends fears and nerves were immediately put to rest meeting these amazing people. We were given breakfast burritos, crispy cream doughnuts, and various pastries right off the starting line. Water was easily available, the bounce house was well maintained, and the snow cones were never ending. Face painting was a fun touch with great talent, and i--radio (i heart radio) kiosk was pleasant and friendly! The doctors, and nurses were quick, exact, friendly, funny, and happily answered any and all questions we had with ease and a smile. My best friend had the pleasure of getting doctor Zack, who had her local anesthetic in with minimal pain and lightning speed, and her tooth was extracted in 26 seconds ( i timed it!) With absolutely zero pain and a teensy bit of pressure. Finally, with a firm handshake and a plethora of goodbyes and pleasant wishes we were out the door in exactly 17 minutes and 19 seconds. So not only do i recommend them, i would sing it if it meant getting you to go here to make all your dental work as painless as possible for you and your wallet. So, I don't know who's responsibility these tasks are but here's what has not been communicated to me and things I have had to deal with since the first review I posted in November. I was never scheduled for a follow up appointment. I called a month later to ask if the mesh was still supposed to be in place and the person that answered the phone seemed very bothered by my question and said I can come in "if I want to". I scheduled an appt that was later cancelled by them two days before the appt due to a scheduling error, they NEVER bothered to follow up to get me in to be seen. I called back to make an appt to have the crowns placed and was then informed that they don't do any of that, only the implants (at which point would have been a great time to tell me about the healing caps because I had no idea what they were, but they didn't) so I called around to find a new dentist to do the crowns who then asked me if I had my healing caps on and if I had my info of the kind and size of the implants to which I had to say I had neither. Called back and asked about the healing caps, nothing but attitude from the desk clerk. Scheduled an appt for 3/7 at 8am for said caps, showed up and the door was locked and the desk clerk was giving me a nasty look through the window while laughing with her friend they finally open door and tell me the office is closed because the doctors wife is having the baby and I'm like cool so you guys don't think to call me before I drive 40 minutes out of my way to this appt? They then tried to tell me I had the wrong day and had I waited until the next day, they would have called me. Bull. I verified that day and time 3 times when I made the appt. I don't put things on my calendar unless they're confirmed (personal, but I have OCD) I now have an appt scheduled for the 23rd so I'm a little concerned about what's going to happen and how I'm going to be treated to be honest but the process is almost over and good news, I never have to go back.

When the surgeon came in, he looked at my son's gums, wanted to take a picture, and used his own phone to take photos (do they not have modern equipment to take photos?) After looking at his gums, the surgeon felt rushed with his description and explanation. After the consultation, the nurse simply walked us out, and I had to ask if someone would be calling me to schedule a follow up appointment, or what we should expect to happen next, she simply said yes. Didn't feel like my 10 yr old would receive the best attention or quality of care here. Will be looking to go somewhere else.

I just received both letters from both insurances today & that's how I found out. I even went out of my way and called ahcccs prior to getting my teeth pulled and they said it would be covered with the $1,000 emergency dental. That's why we ended up doing the extractions because I told them I had no money to pay it. Otherwise, I would have rescheduled. They kept trying to keep having me back but why would I when they don't listen or do their job with the insurance or send meds when you NEED them. I had to call all the time just to finally get antibiotics a week later after realizing how bad the infection was regardless if the xray didn't show it. I referred a coworker there and they wanted her to do it there too even though she needs to be put under. They don't offer laughing gas either. They wanted to do her implants even though she needs an oral surgeon. Anything so they get to bill you instead of another office. UPDATE: AHCCCS did cover it the first time hence why the appeal was denied because they lied about that too. I should've known they were money hungry when they wouldn't even try to get the PA approved through AHCCCS & I had to call them. All cuz they just wanted me to pay out of pocket.

Abel was the dental assistant, and he is one who has worked on me before. As always, he was very professional and personable. After recently visiting other dental offices, I realized that cleanings should not be that uncomfortable. Though I do have a lot of respect for dental hygienists--their job of cleaning people's mouths is incredibly difficult, and I know I couldn't do this job myself. One time, they upsold me a very expensive mouthwash that cost over $50. I bought it because my cleanings were always very painful, and they claimed it would help by preventing buildup. But it didn't make any difference--it was a complete waste of money. I was a patient here for about five years, and another issue was that over time it became clear that communication was consistently lacking. The staff never directly explained their concerns with me. Good and timely communication helps prevent much bigger issues down the line, but unfortunately, that standard wasn't met here. Additionally, I never even knew who the actual dentist was--his name or even if it was the same person each time I visited. There was also a billing or coding error during one of my visits. Despite it being the office's responsibility to resolve and they actually promised to do so, I had to resolve the issue myself despite myself not being on the expert on the field. If you live in the area, I recommend exploring or at least looking into other options, such as Gentle Dental in Palm Valley or a private dental practice. These alternatives generally offer better continuity of care, lower staff turnover, and honest communication in difficult situations. And the dental cleaning to my honest experience is much less painful.

My anxiety was triggered my teeth problems, and these last couple months it got the best of me. The month of December i had a mental break down with a crackling sound in my mouth that i couldn't find out what it was. It made me clench my teeth and thought my molars were infected. I went to the first dentist and suggested i need four fillings, i went ahead and gave him my money. I thought it would cure me up and i would be on my way back to work again. Two weeks passed and i heard the same crackling sound and i kept clenching my teeth as if something was there. I decided to go back and informed them what was going on i saw a second dentist and suggested a deep cleaning. I went ahead and set the plan up and got treated for a deep clean. After a week that same feeling of anxiousness and depression was still there. The crackling sound was effecting the way i eat and i was obsessed of getting the feeling to go away. My mother suggested a different dentist so i went ahead and scheduled an immediate appointment. I explained to the new dentist that i had puss and felt something in my mouth so my teeth kept clenching. The third dentist referred me to an endodontics and did three key nerve test on the molars i thought were damaged or infected. When he was finished he suggested to have a root canal done. The root canal was finished and it was time to begin the healing process once again. Two weeks have passed and my mouth felt off, my mind was still occupied on knowing there was something in my mouth. At this time i felt useless, i wanted to give up and when i had my appointment for the cementing of my crown. I informed my third dentist that i need you too look at the right side of my mouth. I felt the puss and anxiety through my mouth an minutes after he seen that my upper molar was cracked. He suggested another root canal on the top molar just below the molar i just had a root canal done. My anxiety spoke for me and yelled extraction. I went through a dramatic experience because it was a January and at this time i had no job. I lost my mind because i thought i was going crazy and i was ready to petition myself into a physiocratic unit. This has to be my last hope and i will be okay from now on. The process of an extraction takes months to heal not just two weeks so i started my healing process once again. This time i had a bible, tusli tea, gaba calm supplements, veggie soup, yogurt soup and meditation guidelines to guide me. Once the two weeks passed i felt the crackling sound and diminishing anxiety through my whole body. My neck felt unease i did not want to eat, i scheduled an appointment and spoke with a PCP to help me with my diet or get a physical exam. Well, in that case my PCP prescribed me antidepressants on top of that i had the crackling sound on my teeth mocking me. Life was about to eat me up and take me away for good i felt. I entered the month of February mentally focusing on fighting on how to get my mind back in terms. I cried to release my anxiety i vented to my wife, i started doing medical marijuana but it did not help. On February 12, 2019 I woke up scared and in a panic state tears sunk me into my bed and i told myself i cant give up. I went online and searched for the nearest dentist i didn't care about qualities i was going to just go talk to five dentist today if i had or maybe even ten a day. So i seen Gateway Dental online that took my insurance, I spent almost all my life savings to help me with all my dental procedures. This was my last hope, and met Dr. Reid i informed him of everything that had happened to me. My mental state, my dental problems and my health i felt like pouring everything i got and requested his help. Dr. Reid listened to my whole story and wanted to evaluate my whole mouth, he wanted to know what was the cause. He was calm with the fifty questions i had for him, he took his time and informed me why i felt anxiety and why my bite was off. Before i finish this story do you know how hard it is to get a dentist attention and for him to actually care not just about money but mental and physical health. Dr. Reid did what other dentist did not do is take there time and evaluate your symptoms. The answer was right on the top corner of my molar. My wisdom tooth, I just had the procedure done today and my anxiety level was so high i honestly thought off funeral arrangements but no. His entire staff and team made you feel calm and relaxed. The oral surgeon who performed the procedure who i met for just 2 minutes made me feel relieved. Please share this with your friends, your coworkers and your loved ones this will be the only review i will ever write.
