My family has been coming to this resort since the 90's. When Chrissie and Andy took ownership they did some much needed renovations! It's an amazing family friendly resort with some amazing people who run it! Definitely gives home away from home vibes. We also enjoy that it's on a more quiet part of the lake, but close enough to do anything touristy you're wanting to do. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, budget and family friendly vacation! read more

Beat weekend ever! We loved the lodging, loved the staff, everything was amazing! Would love to come back!

Myself and two friends planned a fun "friend-cation" at this resort and had a wonderful and relaxing time! The rooms are comfortable and very clean! The pull-out sofa bed is the only one if it's kind I've ever found to be so comfortable! We enjoyed hiking for two days at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, which is quite close, perhaps 3-4 minutes away, cooked for each other in the fully equipped kitchen, and played board games until way too late at night! Clearly, the owners are very devoted to this property. It's very well maintained. I'm definitely coming back!! Thanks for a great time! read more

We just got back from our 2nd five day stay of the summer at RWR and our family of 4 simply love this place. Great, quite location on the lake, water not crowded at all, seconds from Ha Ha Tonka state park, hiking, world class fishing, Golf, Spas, etc... and a quick 10-20 min drive or ride by car or boat to the main channel, the strip, and all the amenities the Ozark's have to offer. But why leave when you're right on the water, you have access to private boat ramp, multiple docks and slips, a great little beach area and game room perfect for the little and big ones, furnished rooms with stove, fridge, grill, and so much more... (Hot tip: ask about newly available guided fishing tours, you will not be disappointed!) But Most importantly, it's about the people and RWR doesn't fall short here either. Andy and Chrissie, the new owners, are fantastic hosts and their family are just good people. You can tell they are really committed to ensuring you and your family make the best memories and that your stay is problem free so you can do so! You simply are not going to find this level of service, or to be honest, just good old fashion caring at some corporate condo plex or weekend rental. So whether you are looking to post up on a dock/beach, boat around, play some golf, fish, hunt, hit the outlets, or just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle to some stunning views and relaxation, do not scroll on by. Sometimes you need to get away from it all. Sometimes you want to lay on a beach, or take a boat to cruise the lake. Check out Ha Ha Tonka park; bridal cave, local wineries. Or go fishing, I guess that's what boys do here. Got a fishing house and table for cleaning your fish, gross. Far enough away from town that it's a true vacation but close enough that you can go do all tourist stuff in Ozarks if you're into that. Each cabin has all the luxuries of home: AC, cable, full kitchen, patio with BBQ and more. Kids will love the beach, playground and game room! (Bring quarters) Oh and bring your own towels, they don't provide those. It's a classic mom & pop simple place. Art & Debbie have owned, lived and run this resort since 1997 and are great people. It's a place when you come and reconnect with the family. Make sure you head to beach on Thursday night for smores by the fire! Been coming here for years and it's truly a joy. Join the family and book your favorite date early. The kids will make great friends and leave the Xbox long enough to discover the outdoors again. read more

My husband and I along with two friends spent a week in number 16. The room had two bedrooms (one with two double beds and one with one double bed) and a huge bathroom with a tub/shower. The living room had comfy seating and was open to a kitchen with a table and a set of bunk beds along the wall. The deck spanned the entire length of the place and had sliding doors from the kitchen and bedroom. The view from out there was great. There was parking for two vehicles under a carport right outside the living room door. The place was clean and roomy. Be sure to bring your own coffee maker though because there was only a percolator and if you are like us we need coffee ASAP in the morning. There was a sand beach that was easy to access. Having a fish cleaning station right up from it wasn't too pleasant at times though. We chose this resort because of the great deal on a boat for the week. We knew the pontoon would be small and that we couldn't go to the "party cove" or anything with it being so far away and that the large boats on the lake would make it difficult. We mainly wanted to do some sightseeing of the beautiful houses and get to some good fishing spots along the rock cliffs. We set out for Ha Ha Tonka which was just a few mile markers away on the lake, but had to turn around because the boat kept cutting out. We stayed nearby and fished where we could see the dock just in case after that. I finally convinced my husband to say something to the owner. He came and did something to the boat, but it did not fix the problem and no alternative was offered. I would then find out that their other boats that they had to rent were also out of commission. They had the boat towed away to their mechanic, but no compensation was offered. I was told that I should pay full price for the week because the daily rate would have been the same amount. We were also accused of bending the prop when there was no way that could have been us we didn't hit anything or go over 2 miles per hour because of the poor engine. The owner pointed out that she didn't charge us for gas which she said was 6 gallons but we barely went through half a 5 gallon tank. Finally she agreed to take $200 off, but thinking back I am not sure they applied our $100 deposit we paid months earlier to the bill. All and all it is a nice clean, quiet resort on a laid back area of the lake. Just bring your own boat if you stay there. read more
