First time customer. Always doing my part to support small businesses. Ordered their "Brown & White". The drinks were very good. Unfortunately, the customer service was not welcoming. Perhaps, she was having a bad morning but she was cold and uninterested. Also, while waiting for our drinks, 4 customers came in WITHOUT masks (you can tell by the greetings that they were regulars). The 2 staff members had masks on but it appears the COVID-19 guidelines are not being followed at this business. Again....the drinks were delicious but the customer service could be friendlier & welcoming. read more

I'm one of those people that NEED my morning coffee before I can even function lol. Since I just started working in the shopping center I'd figured I'd stop by. First time here, there was about 4 baristas behind the counter, they all looked at me then looked at each other and continued talking. I walked up to the register and one of the girls walked up also and was just staring at me. No hi how you doing , no nothing. I work in customer service and I just didn't appreciate being ignored. Customer service is everything. There's a million and one coffee shops , I could have easily gone to Starbucks across the street but I wanted to support a local business, but after today I won't be going back. read more

And don't even bother asking her about the menu because she'll give you the look of someone who doesn't even want a job! Oh, I'm sorry, I was unaware that I should be fully knowledge in your cup sizes and speciality drinks! How the hell do you get new customers?!! You probably don't! Solely relying on the loyalty of people nearby. What a disgrace of a coffee shop! I've traveled the world and been to MANY coffee shops and this one has by far been the most disappointing! It is warm and inviting and has friendly staff and very informative. She was quick and skilled at handling a demanding crowd. The coffee is good. My friend had a Brown and White mocha and she enjoyed it. I had a white chocolate hot chocolate. It was fabulous, buttery and sweet. I am gonna travel out of my way more and more to come out. Opened by two Rio Alums (hellow...Rio Linda High, not Rio Americano). I come by here if I need the taste of coffee (even though I'm not supposed to drink caffeine containing bevs), especially in the afternoons. The drinks and service can be hit or miss at times, but only get the biscotti if you actually want to eat something because the pastries look like they come here to die. read more

This is a great little locally owned coffee place. LOTS of flavor options for your coffee, including several milk choices - whole/non/low fat, almond, soy, rice. Just to compare their basic espresso drinks with other coffee places, I got a mocha made with low fat milk. Very tasty. Nothing spectacular, but no burnt espresso grounds taste that I've sometimes experienced at more mainstream cafes. I didn't get to treat the speed of the WiFi. Hopefully, I'll return here to try out other drinks on their menu and update my review. read more

Tom and Teresa are the bessst! They are on the Rio java truck very friendly and makes delicious smoothies I go every time they come to my job for lunch break.. I always get the strawberry smoothie soooooo good, fast, affordable, and perfect on hot days. Also try their T-bull they have a variety of flavors to choose from Teresa recommended I mix all the flavors together and it had a tropical taste to it, you can also mix flavors together for smoothies too! I am giving this place 4 stars simply because the staff was very friendly. The coffee was not enough to even earn one on its own. I just happened to be riding in this area when a friend got a hold of me and said that they were there having coffee. I ordered an iced cafe latte with an add shot and two Splendas. Originally I ordered ice tea, but didn't get because I was told it would take a while to brew. The establishment is a quaint little corner shop in a strip mall with a nice decor. Would I go back again? Yeah, and probably wait for the ice tea this time. read more

Anytime I come to Rio Linda (which is rare anymore) the first place I want to go is Rio Java. They have a million different Torani flavors which means unlimited drink creations. It makes Starbucks seem so boring. They even make flavored whipped cream. Always soooo yummy (: The staff here is awesome, they remember who you are and what you like, plus its fun to sit out front or on the couches inside and people watch the fine Rio-Lindians. read more

I have to disagree with the negatives....This place has great coffee drinks, big sizes and the people that work there are SUPER nice. I put money on my account there, so I don't have to worry about having money when I need it and my daughter can go in and grab a coffee if she wants. At 7am, I could care less what kind of artwork is on the walls! Lol... only negative: FOOD! I barely have time for one stop on my way to work, and really need you guys to have more choices in edibles! Thus, only 4 stars...Otherwise, absolutely my fave. This place has the best chai I have ever tasted, no where else is even close in comparison. The Kona Mocha Icerageous is also really good. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices! read more

And there staff isnt as good these days but i absoulutly love there iced white mocha with irish cream. Love a local business, they really listen to customers! When I go in to order and I'm feeling a bit indecisive, I just describe things I like, they recommend drinks that meet my current caffeine cravings. Add to it that they have loyalty rewards, you've got a fun place to grab a cup! My only wish is that they would have more seating indoors. read more
