Comfortable, inviting cafe with tasty bites for breakfast or light lunch/dinner (and alcohol). Space is open and airy, comfortable place to spend time talking with a friend or working on a laptop as wifi is free and lots of plugs are in reach of tables. They have clearly put effort in aesthetic and functional details - all tables have lovely flower centerpieces and also hangers on edges of tables and on table legs for purses/coats or anything you need to hang.

I had cafe con leche with a tostada "especial" in which you choose your toppings. I went crazy and asked for serrano (because it's delicious and cheap in Spain) and Roquefort (because, why not?)...I think this was such a weird combo to the server that she brought out tomate with roquefort, but happily added the serrano when I asked. The "especial" lists a bunch of toppings and I just assumed you can pick any you want, but maybe this was odd (other options include pate, sobrasada, and other cheeses). Tostada comes with salt and olive oil to top as you please and was delicious. Later I tried the smoothie with avocado, spinach and Greek yogurt and it was delish.
At 10:45am when I came, there was one group sitting outside and no one inside - quiet and lovely. A little after 11 lots of locals started coming in and chatting with the owner and staff, and then they'd head out and it was just me again. At times less quiet, but always just as lovely :). read more
