It's my husband's Birthday and Amazon gifts are delayed! I rushed to my favorite lil Surf Shop to grab a quick gift and was in & out of there in less than ten minutes! Excellent selection of t-shirts, and a little bit of everything for your beach goers. I was fortunate to have Ryder wait on me. He wrapped my gift in tissue paper & a colorful bag! He saved me from having to wrap the gift. Great customer service is what I experienced! BRAVO Ryder, thanks.

Great surf shop with plenty of boards, accessories, and modern surf and skate clothing. I came by here this past weekend to get wax, and found the place to be the perfect place to visit in the sleepy town of Carpinteria. While I always wanted to visit the town, I found the young woman at the store to be extremely helpful in guiding me to pick the right wax (Zog's Eco Box Sex Wax at $1.85 isn't bad, but not great) for my board. She even gave me a quick layout of the town, since I stated I wasn't from around there. I checked out the rest of the store and it rivaled the cleanliness and organization of some of the other prominent (non-commercialized, owned by large conglomerate) surf shops I've visited like Harbour Surfboards. Their selection of wetsuits, booties, rashguards, and short boards is quite plentiful. As for their surf skate clothing collection, it's even bigger. They carry all the major brands like O'Neill and Volcom at reasonable prices. So in other words, their inventory is large for what appears to be a small shop. For a surfer, boarder, and general beach goer, they have a good set up anything you need to get onto the water.

I picked up this cement cross from Rincon Designs as a souvenir for our 5th Anniversary.

Cool surf shop. They close early. We got there 20 minutes before closing and you could tell the "kids" were JONESing to get the heck out of there! A darling trio of kids work there. One guy and two gals. I quickly picked my cement cross adorned with shells as my Carpinteria souvenir. Grabbed a purple hair tie and handed them to the fella to ring me up. He asked if I would like it wrapped. I said yes. He wrapped it and then I added a green customized handled reusable bag for $1.99. The girls were playing with their hair. The selection of goods in this store is pretty awesome! Loads of great brands and super fun selections for the kiddos. It will be nice to shop there when I have a little more time.

I do like to drop into surf shops when I happen to be in a beach town. When I was in Carpentaria…read morenear Santa Claus beach, I popped into the A-Frame Surf shop. They offer *surf boards, *SUPs, *boogey boards, leashes, wax, *wetsuit, swim gear, towels, clothes, hats, sunglasses, and beach gear. They *rent out gear. Also what sets them apart from typical surf shops is that they offer lessons (all ages) and summer camps for kids. The shop is clean, modern, well stocked and organized. The staff were helpful. Plus I happen to see the kiddos summer camp surf lessons at Santa Claus beach. I was impressed with the organization and leadership to handle the gaggle of surfing kiddos and teach 'em a thing or two .

Went in with my kids to look around and inquire about their kids surf camps. The lady at the front…read moredesk was rude, gave glaring looks. A man who knew the lady (not sure if he also worked there) had two large dogs. My kids were very respectful and asked if they could let the dogs. He said yes, lady said one (she knew it by name) looked nervous. She was sending allll the evil vibes our way and clearly wanted us to leave. My son had skateboarded up, I commented that he should not ride it in the shop (obviously) but was excited because there was one in the doorway. The man kinda laughed and said yeah, tha would be a bad idea. The woman looked like she was going to have a kinipshin. Overall, just super unfriendly. We were clearly not the people she wanted in her shop. Not sure who she does since they had kids beach toys and other stuff prominently displayed, and advertised a kids surf camps. But I will definitly not be signing my kids up for that one.
