The "Front desk" girls {Irina, Sveta Christina Elena, Nastya, and others} are very responsible. Sounds like Mirianne S is one big jealous baby. First, you don't blame no parking on doctors office. Second, if you want to be seen by the doctor and you didn't should've completed right their not after. If you trust your health with the PA to bad for you. Third, If certain area populated with particular group of people they trying to accommodate them and they would write notes in any language that acceptable in that area to accommodate other people you not the only one that needs care/professional medical attention. Last but not least, You're not alone in your envy of other people status. Strong recommendation don't come back. Let me start out by saying how abhorred I was by the reviews about Dr. Gelbert! Not only do they inaccurately reflect her and the medical office, but, in fact, they convey the complete opposite of the truth! I have been Dr. Gelbert's patient for almost 11 years, before me my parents and grandparents saw her as well (and continue to do so), and I can soundly say that she is amazingly genuine and truly cares about her patients. But before I praise her virtues, let me address the comments made by previous reviewers. Yes, there is a fairly long wait to see the doctor. However, the wait indicates high demand! I don't know about you, but I would trust a full medical office over an empty one with my health and that if my family, despite longer wait times. Furthermore, my average visit with the doctor has been well-over 45 minutes, nothing like the "10 minutes" claimed by some. Staff were helpful, the office was very clean and comfortable, and help was always available in both English and Russian. Now, back to the doctor. Dr. Gelbert is extremely knowledgeable, and it most definitely shows. I can say, unhesitatingly, that fully and utterly trust her with my well-being and that of my loved ones. She has a smile ready for her patients, many of which have been loyally visiting her for more than a decade, referring family and friends as I have. She has treated a variety of maladies afflicting me and, I for one, have no complaints! I found this doctor on Zocdoc after recently acquiring health insurance. It was without a doubt the worst medical experience of my life-- and I've been to doctors in developing lands. Despite having an appointment I waited for over 2 hours to see the doctor. The waiting room was extremely tiny with no AC. All the poor old men and woman were super uncomfortable. There was such a lack of seats I had to stand for a while-- while extremely ill. Once I see the doctor, she prances in on 5 inch heels with a no nonsense attitude and the bedside manner of a venomous snake, I knew I was done for. I don't need a soft bedside manner. I've had amazing and skilled doctors who were abrupt and non-conversational but extremely skilled and thorough and did their jobs well. She made me repeat all the information I filled out online then had to refill out in person THEN had to go over with the nurse. She was abrupt. Questioned basically every single one of my past doctors' skill and knowledge and told me I should take a blood test and schedule a follow-up-- already knowing I'd never come back I said I can't come for a follow-up due to work and asked if she'd call with the results of the blood work. Her response? "Don't you know how busy I am? I don't have time to call my patients whenever a test result comes in. I have hundreds-- no, THOUSANDS of patients. You want results, you come see me" I was absolutely flabbergasted. This woman is about making money from insurance companies and poor unsuspecting older men and woman who aren't used to medical practices in the US. To add insult to injury, when I was walking out the administration held my prescription slips ransom so they could tell me that my insurance offers 30 annual physical therapy sessions and that if I want, they can do therapy on any part of my body and it's best to do it so that I don't lose them! I've never been to such a shady, mismanaged, unprofessional doctor in my life. I am contacting my insurance ASAP to make sure to red flag this doctor. Also, after getting my "diagnosis" she tells me she's giving me an RX because she's nice. Doesn't tell me how to proceed, how long will it be until I feel better-- nothing. Just "it's your health, do what you want" when I refused a blood test and probably another 3 hours in her office of hell. STAY AWAY! Far far away! read more

Horrible experience every time! Each time I visit this place, I am waiting 2 plus hours with an appointment. There was even a time I had a scheduled appointment for 10am and I didn't leave until around 2pm, no exaggeration. The people at the front desk are extremely rude and are not helpful at all. If I could, I'd give this place zero stars. There is no reason why each time I visit I should be given attitude by the people at the front desk for absolutely no reason. Never going back. read more

I almost gave this place one stars but due to having an good experience with the P.A I threw in an extra star. This place I hate to say reminds me of an old Soviet Union facility. The colors are stuck in the 50's and it doesn't help that everything is in Russian. I am totally down with the Russians but being non-Russian speaking or descent makes it feel super awkward coming here. I, like another Yelper found this place on ZocDoc...submitted my stuff electronically and as usual it never reaches the office staff, it just gets lost in cyber space I guess. Anyway, parking sucks. Just pay a meter. The wait room is nuts to butts. There is a restroom in the rear so don't sit in the back because you will smell when someone blows up the place. I made an appointment at 5pm after work and wasn't seen by the P.A-not the actually doctor ( who apparently you have to special request?) until 7pm. Another doctor's office falling victim to greed and overbooking. When I initially walked in I was ignored and had to ask for a sign in sheet. I waited an hour after my appointment to get my blood drawn and another to see the P.A. The second time around I had to come in so they could discuss my blood results...even though everything was fine, I'm sure a phone call would have sufficed but instead I waited 1.5 hours to be told all was well. Anyway, the P.A was a nice and funny lady. Very honest. I liked her and the lady who drew my blood. However, the receptionists were not friendly whatsoever. They kinda just sit there sneer and laugh. The actual Doctor, looks like one of those villains you see on t.v. Like a gold-digger but with a Dr.'s coat and walks in and out the office wearing some pretty fancy looking heels...I'm all for looking fabulous at work but she just looked like a snob and looked disgusted at people as she walked by. Overall? Not coming back. I can't do the walk in Dr. office...and I refuse to be seen 2 hrs after an appointment is made. read more

I recently became a patient at this practice. I went for a wellness check and the PA, Inna, insisted that I make a follow up appointment to discuss test results. I complied. My appointment was at 5 pm and I arrived promptly to wait to discuss my test results with the PA. After 30 minutes, I inquired with the receptionist as to how much longer it would be. The dark-haired receptionist dismissively said that someone would be with me in a few minutes. 30 minutes isn't an obscene amount of time to wait for test results, so once again, I complied. After 45 minutes, I asked the same receptionist again, "How much longer will it be?" The same dark-haired receptionist replied, "Oh, no one came to get you?" Obviously not. After another 5 minutes, she calls me in to wait another 10 minutes for a technician to take my blood pressure. In my 30 years of seeing doctors, I've never had one take my blood pressure simply to discuss test results. Then she sent me back out to the waiting room to wait for the doctor. I assume this is so they can still bill for my visit? If you're following, it's been an hour. As I am walking out from getting my blood pressure taken, I ask the same receptionist when I'd get my test results. To wait one hour for a less than 10 minute conversation is pretty crazy. To this, she replied, "What do you want me to do? She has patients." Over the next hour, I get up every 15 minutes to inquire when the PA will see me. At one point, I openly asked if the PA would just take a break between patients to speak with me. This is how literally every doctor has handled a simple situation of test results. At one point, the 6+ Russian-speaking receptionists begin openly talking about me and laughing at me in Russian. I know this because the one with the long blonde hair was literally staring at me and laughing with her young colleague. She stopped when I stared at her and hid behind the desk. The little girl who looks to be about 14 was peeking at me from behind the screen. I felt very much discriminated against as the only non-Russian speaker in the office. Dr. Gelbert needs to train her staff. At one point, I was so desperate to leave this seventh ring of hell that I simply asked for my test results. Per HIPAA, they cannot deny me. Well, guess what they did? They denied me. Not only that, they brought the PA out. In front of every patient and employee in that office, she said my results were "abnormal" and that I needed to wait and speak with her. I'm no doctor or lawyer, but I'm pretty sure some kind of medical privacy law was broken there. I will absolutely be filing a complaint with Dept. of Health and Human Services. After two hours, I finally got to sit down for 5 minutes with the PA just so she could tell me everything was normal. For the record, I addressed the issue of the rude receptionists and asked why there were 6 of them employed there when they clearly were not engaged in actual work. I would know, I was there for 2 hours observing lots of non-professional behavior. To this the PA laughed knowingly. I could not have run out of that place fast enough. Stay away. I have been a patient of Physician Assistant Mrs. Goldfeld for nearly one year. I suffer from many medical conditions for which i attempted to reach out a multitude of providers for help in all five borroughs. After many visits to other providers, my health deficits were not properly treated because the other providers claimed i was a complicated patient who has had side effects and failure to improve with their treatment approaches. After just one visit to Mrs.Goldfeld, i received immediate relief of symptoms. She took her time and applied thorough attention to my medical history and was able to compose the most optimal treatment for my multiple medical conditions. After many failed attempts from other providers and specialists, it was Mrs. Goldfeld's meticulousness, overwhelming knowledge of medicine combined with her unyeilding care for my conditions that allowed me to improve. Due to her aid in my drastic improvement, i was able to regain my health and well being, got my job back and restored my interpersonal relationships with family and friends. I would without a doubt recommend Mrs. Goldfeld to all of my family members, friends, and those who seek a Provider who is smart, carring and demonstrates relentless zeal in healing her patients with treatments that not only consider the patient's disease but how it affects them individually. I recently accompanied a friend to a medical appointment she had made at this facility. I could not get over how unorganized and cold the staff were to their patients. All the staff members spoke Russian and English, but for some reason they were all very short and cort with the non-Russian speaking clientele. It seemed like they booked about 10 people for that hour and change that we sat there waiting, which is asinine, considering my friend was waiting for over an hour to get seen while the waiting room was just over flowing with patients. I would hate to see how they would / could handle a real emergency if they had one. God Forbid!!! This facility left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would never recommend anyone I know to this facility. Not even in an emergency. read more
