Dr. Weiss has changed my life in less than a year's time! I am so happy I found him. If you have any strange, lingering health issues that traditional doctors and specialists aren't adequately treating (or even mostly dismissing in my case), I highly recommend you give Dr. Weiss a call immediately! The symptoms that brought me there (such as unexplained, constant and physically uncomfortable burping, haha yes I know, objectively funny but, I promise, it was not fun) are now 99% gone and--as an added benefit--I no longer get migraines and have much less fatigue. What else could I ask for? Like many other reviewers (I agree wholeheartedly with everything in Farhan C.'s review), I will also add that I am very, very, very skeptical of alternative treatments. I stumbled upon the Morrison Center only after going to a PCP, multiple gastroenterologists, and a breathing specialist for my 2+ year condition. (Even my gynecologist had better ideas than the dismissive, old, white, male gastroenterologists!) Before going, there are some things you should know. In order for Dr. Weiss and the Morrison Center to successfully treat you, my must: (1) go in with a very OPEN MIND, try to limit your eyerolling, and be willing to adapt your life to follow their treatment plans. For me, one of these was a major dietary overhaul that continues to be very challenging and very frustrating. But guess what? Feeling better is worth it. (2) Be ready to answer lots and lots of random health questions. My initial intake was an hour and a half! I have never been given SO MUCH ATTENTION from a physician. It was refreshing for a doctor to actually have enthusiasm, have a PLEASANT BEDSIDE MANNER, and be committed to explaining medical minutiae to you. He wants you to understand what is going on with your body and his knowledge is insane! In this initial intake, Dr. Weiss immediately identified several potential issues which, with testing, were confirmed and treated with a mix of dietary changes, antibiotics, herbals, and supplements. I continued to go back, we made adjustments gradually, and things worked. (3) You must know that THEY DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE. Going there was a challenge financially so I've had to cut my treatment short BUT it was worth it. It was worth making some sacrifices to go there. You cannot put a price on your health. (4) Again, keep going with it and keep an open-minded. (But it is ok to retain some of your skepticism. For example, if he tells you that he thinks that your lifelong dark circles will go away you can laugh. That didn't happen during my year of treatment and I will go to my grave convinced that will never happen. No hard feelings though, Dr. Weiss!) Unfortunately, I have to cut my treatment shorter than I'd like because financing this is tough. They are expensive--wouldn't it be nice to be rich and have premium healthcare?! However, Dr. Weiss was respectful to this during my treatment. He gave me recommendations for certain supplements and other options that were more affordable than some of Morrison's own products. He switched one of my prescriptions to get a more affordable option. In sum, I didn't particularly feel like Morrison was trying to jam their own products down my throat and continue to milk my bank account dry. There are a few other lingering things that I would like to eventually treat. Dr. Weiss seemed to respect this and encouraged me to come back if my financial situation changes. My only complaint is that getting Weiss on the phone takes longer than it should. I understand he is busy but I had to wait over a week for a call back. I had made a call on a Monday morning, a Thursday afternoon, and another call on the following Monday before finally getting a return call. Another time when I was responding badly to some of the minerals I didn't bother calling because I didn't feel like leaving a message with reception and not being sure if it got to him. Not sure where the oversight was here but this is something that should be improved. In person, however, the Morrison Center is PERFECTION. Bottom line: All worth it. I cannot thank Dr. Weiss enough. I visited Dr. Weiss at Beverly Hills Brain Body Center. I have a history of Lower back ruptured disc as well few herniated cervical discs which make me being a chronic pain patient I have done chiropractors and physical therapy sessions in the past this was by far the best of all in terms of how fast I got relieved . In the matter of minutes I felt my muscles are loosening up the pain is dissipating. I may need more treatments and I am looking forward to fighting this chronic, stubborn pain . What can I say about Dr. Weiss? Over the last 3 years I have been to over 40 doctors trying to figure out what is wrong with me. Dr. Weiss was the only doctor who was determined to get the root of my problem causing all of my issues. After several test and studies he came up with a treatment method.. I already feel 100 x better after going to Dr. Weiss for a few months. He helped treat my neuropathy, and many other complex issues. This will be the first (I'm sure) of many glowing reviews. Consider yourself lucky if you find your way to Dr. Weiss. I have been in pain my entire adult life, and within a couple weeks of starting treatment with Dr. W, I was experiencing SUBSTANTIALLY more relief than I ever had in all my years of trying out different modalities (chiropractic, PT, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise, massage...). Dr. Weiss is incredibly gifted at what he does. He is caring, empathic, rigorous and thorough. I have never met a doctor more singularly dedicated to improving the quality of life of his patients than Dr. Weiss. The most notable thing about him is that his one and only goal is to get you, in as few treatments as possible, to a place where you can STOP seeing him. After spending well over a decade (and more money than I care to think about) trying to get myself out of pain, and never seeing the light at the end of the money-tunnel, I find this to be an incredible relief. Dr. Weiss is fantastic. I spent a lot of time trying to find a cutting-edge functional doctor in NYC and was disappointed often. Much of what I encountered was doctors who were open to using the latest diagnostic tests and tools but who didn't really know how to effectively play detective, put all the pieces together, and generate a coherent and personal treatment plan. On the other end of the spectrum were doctors who, though professional and competent in their narrow domain, focused purely on alleviating symptoms or deficiencies without working to 'peel the onion' and uncover deeper issues at play. Dr. Weiss truly works on a different dimension, and I have recommended him to all of my close friends and family struggling with health issues. He pulls from a number of different disciplines and is read into the latest findings and research. My health struggles are complex and nuanced - rooted in a number of co-infections that spin off seemingly unrelated symptoms, precluding an easy diagnosis. My situation had other doctors contemplating things that sound totally misguided in retrospect. But Dr. Weiss was quickly able to uncover root causes, looking at blood results, stool tests, breath tests, symptoms, and more. He developed an effective treatment plan that combines herbal and conventional medicines - as well as diet and lifestyle recommendations - and he has also performed some very valuable mechanical work that has worked wonders for persistent physical pain. The change in my quality of life - including my energy, mood, physical appearance, and outlook - has been transformative and I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Weiss. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Weiss! He is intelligent, warm, compassionate, and extremely talented at what he does. When I first started seeing him, I was in intense pain, and the pain medications I tried barely helped. After our first session, I walked out of the office pain-free. After a few more sessions, my chronic pain is almost completely gone! Dr. Weiss is different from other doctors because he is able to identify the root causes of symptoms and immediately deal with them. During each session he knows exactly what my body needs. I have been going to The Morrison Center for a few years for Chronic Lyme and they have been beyond helpful. When my original doctor moved, they suggested Dr. Weiss - who is also amazing! Earlier this year I had a bunch of symptoms and felt so awful, barely able to walk a few blocks or be mentally present at work. Within a few visits and treatment changes with Dr. Weiss I am feeling 90% better and can function like a normal person in their 20s. If you aren't used to this type of doctor it might be a little confusing or sound weird, but the methods he uses do work. Dr. Weiss has explained things to me over and over again to make sure I understand or feel comfortable (obviously you should also be actively asking questions). He even has drawn pictures to explain what is going on and how the treatments will help. I highly suggest Dr. Weiss and The Morrison Center, especially if you have not been successful or felt unheard with other doctors. For the most part, they are not covered by insurance, but I find the prices are worth actually feeling better and healing. read more

I saw Dr.Weiss last week and it took my a while to write this since I was not sure on how to word it because I had never heard about "Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment" before, but I have been having foot pain for over a year and it was just getting so much worse, my doctor had told me of some exercise and stretches to do at home and medications that only helped for a little while and my pain would never completely go away. Last week my pain was just so terribly bad I could barely walk, a friend saw me and told me about Dr. Weiss, it was a different type of treatment and even though I was a bit skeptical that it would actually help me, I had nothing to lose so I called him and "Im so so glad he had time to see me" it's amazing how with some gentle massage and stretches, I was back to walking normally within a few minutes, I could jump and dance when I left the exam room, and surprisingly He not only fixed my foot pain but the neck and shoulder pain that I have been living with for the last 5 years is gone as well. Dr. Kevin Weiss is amazing! He totally fixed my posture/back problems that I have had since a kid! and a few other things that were causing me pain. I'm not 100% sure how Osteopathic works, but it's doesn't hurt, it's non-invasive and I felt so much better immediately! It blows my mind that this DOES work and so well! I've seen other doctors, but I feel like Dr. Weiss really takes the time to truly understand the whole issue and gets to the real root of the problem so that it is 100% gone. I haven't had pain or symtoms in 2 years. I was recommended by a friend to see him, and I usually don't go see anyone who doesn't already have a extreme patient following but, I was kinda stuck and life really made him my only option at the time. It's crazy how things happen in life and when you set a standard like I do for only seeing the best Doctors, Sometimes your life naturally guides you in the right direction. Dr. Weiss is the best doctor I've ever had, and I've had dozens as my health issues are complicated and chronic. I've been seeing him for a year, since he first set up his NYC practice. Most patients he sees for short periods, as his goal is to _fix_ not just palliate, symptoms. I have an old hip flexor injury (tore it while doing the split as a kid, ouch!) that has bothered me for 20+ years -- he fixed it in 2 sessions. I have chronic infections that cause massive inflammation, and Dr. Weiss helps my muscle, tendon, and fascia pain as well as my organ function, energy flows, and a bunch of other things. His knowledge of the body is deep and vast and he has many, many techniques that work. He begins each session by putting his hands on my legs and then he tells me where I have the most pain - as in third left rib; right jaw --- and he is ALWAYS dead right. Then he treats these areas, while constantly checking to see what my body wants. I've had many physical therapists and other body workers, but they follow a set routine. Dr Weiss is different because he knows how to listen to the body, and it's made all the difference for me. Plus, the office provides me with claim forms so I can submit them to my insurance for out-of-network coverage. He's really the best - a truly gifted healer. I went to Dr. Weiss because he had such great reviews on Yelp, but I had a truly terrifying and traumatic experience with him. I'm appalled by how reckless of a doctor he is and honestly can't believe that he has a medical degree. First, he asked for my full medical history and spent so much time fixating on past ailments that he didn't even ask any specific questions about the chronic pain issue that I had gone to see him about. Then he told me that I needed injections in several places on my body that were not the places where I was feeling pain. He promised that these were areas of the body where my pain could stem from, and I acquiesced because he promised these injections were harmless and he also pressured me with his authority as a doctor. The injections did not appear to impact me physically afterward, but I felt emotionally traumatized and violated. He did not inform me that what he meant by "I'm going to inject some anesthetic at the scar on your arm here" was "I'm going to slide a needle into your skin across the entire length of your two-inch scar while you make awful pain sounds". It was so painful and terrifying!! He also did not clearly explain to me the purpose of these injections. I had asked him how they worked, but thinking back to it now, he had answered with some vague and confident-sounding words that basically told me that I should listen to him because he knew best. What made this whole situation a lot creepier was that we weren't alone in the exam room. A nutritionist at the Morrison Center sat in on his exam with me, and she acted like everything he was doing was standard procedure, which made me feel like I couldn't say no. Throughout the exam, the two of them would use some medical terminology and talk about things that I couldn't understand, yet neither of them offered to explain their ideas to me. When I asked what they were talking about that related to MY BODY, Dr. Weiss responded with what I think was meant to be a charming smile and, "We're talking shop." Then they both told me to buy a $65 detox kit from them, which I didn't. Also, the exam table did not feel clean - it didn't have a sheet of paper over it like a medical practice should have. I called the practice the next day to try to talk to him and understand better what exactly he did to my body, but I was told that I would have to make an appointment to speak with him over the phone and that they would charge me for a conversation that lasted more than 6 minutes. Given that I really never wanted to speak to him again and that the Morrison Center doesn't accept insurance, I declined. I don't understand at all how Dr. Weiss can claim to practice holistic, noninvasive medicine, and I'm honestly so confused by the other glowing reviews here. The first thing that he suggested to me was injections, before he even took time to properly examine my body. He offered me no other help other than to have more blood work done. I'm writing this review in hopes that no one else will have to go through the experience that I did. Don't waste your time with this doctor. For those who struggle with chronic health issues of any kind, this may really help. I've experimented a LOT over the years with holistic health practices, practitioners, supplements, diet, mind/body techniques, you name it. Then I started working with Dr. Kevin Weiss at The Morrison Center. He's an Osteopath, Functional Medicine Expert, and incredibly intuitive, kind, and dedicated Doctor. Through our work together, and the constant evolution of the practice (which stays on the cutting edge of best practices), Dr. Weiss chose to prescribed me D2. A really high dose mind you, so this needed to be done with a professional and I fully understood what we were doing and why. (Fun fact: Vitamin D is actually a hormone, not a vitamin. And if you're not at LEAST a 50+ in your blood results it can lead to a myriad of symptoms and increased risk of disease. If you're not getting enough sun, which most of us aren't, it's a must to address). 4 weeks later, I felt like a different person. Self Esteem/positive thoughts and vibrant energy? Oh hey old friends!! I've MISSED you! I'm laughing more than I have in a long time. I'm feeling connected to those around me. I'm feeling more like my best self again. (So different and so much better I'm almost scared do jinx it). While there's still work to be done, and I must continue to practice what I know works well for me, utmost self care, and patience/understanding of my body and what it needs, I'm able to manage my life better. I feel fully supported and in great care. I'm able to see more clearly now than I have in months. And that allows me to show up energetically different- hopeful and ready to take action. It can be very very frustrating and disheartening when I try techniques and things don't work like I'd hoped. Yet I'm glad I didn't give up, because it's the most satisfying feeling in the world when something does. After having visited countless doctors and so-called "experts" over many years for autoimmune issues and chronic pain, I finally found an angel, Dr. Weiss. This doctor is amazing and healed years of suffering without medicines! The first things you should know about me is I am very skeptical of alternative treatments. I'm not one of those hipster ovo-lacto-vegetarians and don't care for supplements, eating organic or doing yoga. What I do love is eating big, non-organic, greasy hamburgers and watching TV for hours on end. However, after years of frustration with the traditional, pharmaceutical company-driven medical treatments I had given up hope of treating my joint pain, fatigue, bizarre rashes and constant stomach issues. Doctors couldn't even identify an accurate diagnosis which is why I can't thank the heaven's enough for leading me to Dr. Weiss. I was initially very hesitant to see him because he doesn't accept insurance and I'm not very wealthy, however, several of my friends had seen him and were simply raving. At this point in my suffering, I would happily give up a months salary for any degree of improvement in my symptoms. I can not articulate the level of satisfaction I received from my treatment with Dr. Weiss. It was unbelievable and immediate. What I experienced with Dr. Weiss was a level of service unparalleled by any other doctor. He spent an extraordinary amount of time going over my entire medical history and asking very detailed questions about things no one ever had asked. He wanted to know what countries I had visited to determine if I potentially picked up a parasite. He asked about injuries I may have had in childhood that could have resulted in "lesions." This lasted for some time and I was so impressed with the thoroughness. After this, he spent a great deal of time examining me and doing a traditional medical exam followed by "joint testing" (or at least that's what I called it). During the joint testing, he would twist my body into various positions and help "release" any areas that were restricted. This was unusual at first, but throughout the experience, I'd felt a great deal of relief. He then recommended lab testing (for things I didn't even know existed), suggested various supplements and recommended a follow-up visit for injections. I felt so much better after just one visit than I had felt in years. Many readers may suspect that I'm exaggerating but the reality is that when you've had "lesions" from years of trauma/damage to your body and those lesions are removed, you will experience extraordinary and immediate improvement. It's like a having a thorn in your foot - extremely debilitating while present but once you remove it, you can walk for miles. Some patients may have a harder time understanding Dr. Weiss's methods since he is far from traditional. I read an unfavorable review on yelp for Dr. Weiss and felt bad for the reviewer because I have gained so much in just one treatment - I wish the same for everybody. I agree that Dr. Weiss is very intelligent and can frequently use complex terms but that's a consequence of having been well read, passionate and having knowledge. I'm sure if you meet an expert in any field they will use terms that fly over your head. Heck, I don't understand half the things my mechanic says. I just nod and smile when he says, "You need to swap out the flux capacitor." I don't even know if my car has one of those but I trust him and as long as my car works that's all I care about. How can you expect someone like Dr. Weiss who has years of training to become an expert in medicine, especially ultra-complex areas like neurophysiology and musculoskeletal medicine, to speak to you like a layperson? In Dr. Weiss's defense, he tried to answer every question and explains everything at length but despite having a graduate degree, I still couldn't necessarily understand everything. And that's ok! As long as my problem gets fixed safely, that's all I care about. Finally, if you have any issues that are unresolved by traditional medicine I would run (not walk) to Dr. Weiss. I am certain you will get a much better, longer lasting cure than you could from anyone else. We should work on cloning technology so we can make more of Dr. Weiss, although, I'm sure big pharma would find a way to prevent this so they can keep pumping people full of drugs. Dr. Weiss is like no other doctor I have ever encountered, and I mean that in the best way possible. I was having chest pains/breathing issues last fall, and I went to multiple urgent care facilities, the emergency room, a cardiologist and a pulmonologist and nobody can figure out what was wrong with me. I finally found my way to Dr. Weiss and he did an adjustment on my ribs that resulted in INSTANT relief. He then found the root of this "rib problem" was elsewhere in my body and he helped me treat hit.
