Its great on a nice day. However, there are some drawbacks. Notably, if there are other people there, you basically have nowhere to go as the beach is maybe 10 feet across. There are often people fishing, which is ok, but what is not ok is the complete lack of trash cans. This has the unfortunate result of the beach being littered with soda and beer cans and sometimes food containers. I wish people would not so freely litter in such a nice area, but the lack of trash bins means people are unlikely to get the hint or change their ways.

There's a small ramp to help lower a canoe or kayak down and some awkward steps. They remind me of baby steps but maybe it is like that so no one falls. There is a nice walkway/ramp built to walk down to the water, but remember that the water line is Maryland so if you have anything that might be questionable in the state, don't bring it with you. I came away from the lesson feeling more confident and excited about a future that includes some whitewater kayaking. I'm excited to keep learning with Potomac Paddlesports and next time I want to arrange a private lesson I will definitely request Cheddar as my instructor. The river was relaxing, the views were gorgeous, and the whole day just felt easy and fun. A huge shoutout to Spider, our guide, who truly went above and beyond. Not only did he keep the energy high with great vibes and a friendly attitude, but he also made sure everyone was safe and accounted for throughout the float. We noticed him picking up trash along the way. So awesome to see someone taking care of the river and setting a great example. He really cared about both the people and the environment. If you're thinking about doing a tubing trip in Harpers Ferry, this is the place to go--and if you're lucky enough to get Spider as your guide, you're in for a great time!

I was a long time customer of Prince William Marina. I bought my boat through them and kept it at…read morethe marina for over 15 years. Just recently sold it and am now 'between boats...' I have nothing but praise for the team at Prince William. They are professional and prompt with everything. The boatel experience is the best way to do your boating on the Potomac. The boat is high and dry when you are not using it, but is always in the water, fueled and ready to go when you want it. Boats stored in a boatel retain their resale value because they just do not age! They are not sun damaged, they do not get marine growth, they do not get vandalized... It is the best way to protect your investment. The marina has a great clientel and local yacht club. They have a heated pool for customers and it is open longer than your neighborhood pool - it is a great place to hang out and meet new friends when you can't or don't want to be out on the hook. The restaurant at Prince William is only okay - Honestly though, I have found that all the waterfront restaurants on the Potomac are lacking - between no real winter business and no real weekday business during the season, none of them can retain quality chiefs or wait staff. But you can get a decent burger and fries here - about all you would expect or need after a day on the water. The bar is lively with a full band schedule. It has a regular crowd that can be a bit sketch at times. Lots of nice Harley's in the parking lot next to the BMW's and SUV's if you are into the biker crowd. But it is generally a pleasant mix of people and I've never heard of any problems. Boating is not cheap - looking at some of the reviews, it seems that other reviewers may have had different expectations. PW Marine's service department does have high rates, but they are in the normal range for waterfront repair yards. The quality of their work is OUTSTANDING. You get what you pay for. I'll definitely be back when I'm ready for my next (bigger) boat... Thank you PW Marine for helping with all the great boating memories we have!

I provided all materials except Stainless screws . 2200.00 not counting my material . Andy's looks at my boat and tells me I have some fracturing going on on the sides of the boat. He said he can fix those for 1600.00 . And while getting that fixed Andy said I can paint the boat. I agreed to paint the boat. KEEP IN MIND I CAME FOR A RUB RAIL. STAY TUNED.
