They didn't even put it up on the rack for 6 days, and then called to say they needed to replace the fuel pump. It took them three days to do that and I had to call, for the third time, to get an update. They said they had just put it in and were going to wait 40 minutes and then would call me. Three hours later, they finally called and said they would come to pick me up. On the way to the garage, I told the guy who picked me up that I had noticed a pulsing in the brakes and wondered if the rotors needed to be turned. He said they would rather get new parts than grind the rotor, and that if I would contact them so they could order the parts in advance, I could bring the car in and wait while they fixed it. It would only take an hour and a half. They would order parts without even LOOKING at the brakes? And they could do a brake job in an hour and a half, but it took them three hours to make a PHONE CALL? When we got to the garage, I had to wait behind one of their employees, who was explaining to another customer that they couldn't finish working on his truck because THEY had broken one of the clips and couldn't find the part. I did not even get out of the parking lot before my CHECK ENGINE light came on. They hooked it up and their device said it was running lean on bank two. The guy said it was an old code and acted like it was no problem, but he did tell me it might come back. The only code I had ever had was due to a problem I had fixed almost a year ago, and this was not the code. They showed absolutely no interest in resolving the issue. "We got your money, now get out." And the Check Engine light came back on 5 minutes later and has been on ever since. They evidently used the access port in the trunk to reach the fuel pump. I know, because when I went to put groceries in the trunk later, I found everything in the trunk pulled out of the way and the trunk liner pulled down -- they never put it back in place. The place is closed all day on Saturdays and Sundays, but the owner wasn't there while I was -- he had taken the day off. They were so busy it took them 8 days to change a fuel pump, but he needs three days off a week? I have absolutely no confidence in their work and I will never take my car back there

It pays to deal with quality car dealers - even when you're out of state on vacation…read more Recently my wife and I were heading home from a Marathon Day (the day before) of Rafting on the Gauley River when the "low tire pressure" indicator on the dashboard on our 2019 Highlander happened came on. Oh, no! We hadn't even gotten to Beckley - and we had a 10-11 hour drive straight through to Memphis. We had just had to buy a new tire the week before for a unrepairable nail puncture. We were able to go to the Toyota dealership in Beckley. When I went in, I met with Mike Jude, the New Car Sales Manager. After I explained our situation with the tire and our long trip to Memphis, he was quite understanding of our problem. Mike then took me to Erik in the Service Department. Both men were very courteous, professional and understanding about our problem - as well as our need to get back on the road promptly. Well, I am sending out a Big Shout Out to both Mike and Erik for the quality service we received. Even with other people in the Service Waiting room, Erik was able to check all 4 tires - he even remembered the pressure for each tire. He found no problems with any of the tires, and properly inflated all tires to the proper pressure. All of this great service was done with a smile - and at no cost. We were able to finish our trip with no further tire problems. If you live in the area, or are just passing through and have car problems, be sure to check our L&S Toyota. And, be sure to ask for Mike and/or Erik. They will treat you right - even if you didn't buy your car from them. Great service, guys! Much appreciated.
