This used to be a wonderful place to take my daughter for summer camps and teacher workday camps…read more She started at Flour Power when she was about 2-1/2 in the classes they had for littles, then started going there for camps when she started school and she's 13 now. This year things have really changed there for the worse...there are WAY too many kids in the space and almost the entire staff turned over. I've been debating about no longer going there after this summer is over, and this morning was the last straw. I dropped my daughter off and there were 2-3 staff people in the front kitchen and NO ONE acknowledged us or greeted my daughter. This is really sad and insulting. I realize the staff were busy but nothing should stand in the way of greeting a customer and making them feel welcomed if you want them to return. If they don't realize someone is coming in because there is too much chaos, maybe they need to tie bells on the door.

The studio is very colorful with lots of decor and several tables and chairs in the front of the business. Aprons are also provided. I heard about the adult chef series from the owner Debbie at the north hills block party. She was really nice and excited about this event. At the chef series event she told us that they had just started the adult cooking classes about 6 months ago and that they are so much fun. For today's event they had a special food and wine pairing with Total Wine. The Wine Steward, Nathaniel, recommended certain wines that would go well with the items that we prepared this evening. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He also gave us coupons for future purchases at Total Wine. This was my first times at a cooking studio so I thought that each person or group that came together would prepare all of the recipes but each table ended up making one of the 3 recipes. This ended up working out well because the two hours would not have been long enough for everyone to do all of the recipes. Our table ended up making the southern cornbread but since it was a quick recipe we also assisted with the Butternut Squash/Apple & Pear Soup. The last table made the Spicy White Bean Chicken Chili. The food was really good and filling. I thought that the chili was going to be really spicy because it had green chili peppers but it had the perfect amount of heat. I didn't know what to expect from the soup but it had great flavor. The cornbread was not bad but our table thought that it was missing something. The butter that was provided helped. The wine tasting occurred while our food was cooking. It started off well but then when a few of us left to finish the soup we never really got back on track with it. I enjoyed hearing Debbie tell us about the past and future adult chef series classes and the children's classes. We also enjoyed being able to meet and interact with so many cool people at our table. Debbie and her staff were very helpful providing us with utensils, drinks, directions, etc. We had a great time!

The reason I state semi is that…read morewhile they do have a good amount of specialty items, there are also a good amount of gaps, especially if looking for specific items. While at first the prices may seem high, the items they are selling are high quality and prices are in fact fairly typical for what they have in store. Now one thing that was surprising, typically when stores sell their own branded items, they are cheaper, however here it seemed to be the opposite with many items. The staff were friendly, but not the most knowledgeable. They were definitely trying to help, but at the same time they appeared to be incredibly busy, even though the store was mostly empty, running back and forth from the back grabbing items and helping customers pickup items before being able to help out others.

COOKING CLASS REVIEW ONLY:…read more : ( Sharing the cooking amongst four people is a disappointing experience. Not nearly enough hands-on work for the student (Suggestion: Give people the option to cook as a twosome for a higher fee). : ( Upon entering the kitchen we found our name tags and introduced ourselves to the instructor. When we asked "what is your name?" ...we were told "I will tell you my name later whenever everyone arrives because I have a big 'shpeel' to deliver and I don't want to repeat myself.' (Suggestion: Try to make your clients feel welcomed by saying 'My name is....) : ( Too much of the cooking is not done by the students; even a simple two-ingredient step in the recipe was not done by us but was done by the instructor?! We had to gather around and watch this very simple thing (Suggestion: Let the student do a bit more). : ( Somewhat difficult to hear instructor with exhaust fans and classroom noise. : ) Food was good to eat : ) Having all the raw ingredients set up and measured Maybe if you have friends that want to drink wine (BYOB) and watch you cook ...this maybe a good fit for you.

Her knowledge helps to position them for receiving top dollar while listing while delivering her message in a kind and authentic way. I have also had the pleasure of taking a continuing education course recently with Bobbie to help better myself in my real estate career. She brings the same professionalism and her sense of humor with her as an instructor. She is a wealth of knowledge and openly shares her experiences and humor to make the information useful and understandable. The format of the class was interactive, which I appreciate as a person that likes to be on the go and not in a classroom. Whether you are a Real Estate agent, a Stager with experience or a novice, or a person who will be selling a home in the Triangle I highly recommend connecting with Bobbie McGrath.

I've been dancing at Taylor Academy of Dance for 15 years, and I truly can't recommend it enough…read more From my very first class to now, this studio has been such a huge part of my life and has become a second home. Over the years, I've trained in company, ballet, jazz, contemporary, stretch classes, private lessons, and so much more. The instruction is exceptional, and every teacher is knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping each dancer reach their full potential. The performance opportunities, especially The Nutcracker and the spring recitals, are always so well organized and create memories that last a lifetime. One of my favorite things about Taylor Academy of Dance is the community. From day one, the dancers were so welcoming and kind, and I immediately felt like I belonged. I've made lifelong friendships here, and some of my favorite memories have come from rehearsals, backstage before performances, dressing room laughs, and celebrating each other's accomplishments. Jill Taylor has created such a positive, supportive environment where every dancer feels valued. She truly cares about her students, not only as dancers but as people, and it shows in everything she does. Over the years, I've also had the privilege of getting to know Mrs. Bert, whose kindness and encouragement have made the studio feel even more like home. Together, they've created an environment where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and like part of the family. Taylor Academy of Dance has helped me grow in so many ways, both on and off the stage. I am so grateful for everything this studio has given me over the past 15 years, and I couldn't recommend it more to anyone looking for outstanding dance training and an incredible community.

In the 10 years that my daughter was at her last studio she never had a friend, but on day one the young girls welcomed her in and made her feel like she has been dancing here for years. Not only were the girls so welcoming Ms.Taylor and her mother, Ms. Bert, treated my daughter like family. She really helped my daughter advance in ballet, and because Ms. Jill has so much knowledge in this field, we realized that the last studio was not teaching my daughter the correct way. If only we had started with Ms.Jill when Ava was 3.
