An'D set an appointment for me to see Dan later that afternoon. Dan was super helpful, immediately pointing out the error, putting my mind at ease. He gave me verbal instructions on what I needed to do, but I had asked for his help to see this through to avoid any chance of penalties. Dan told me that he would have to charge me for service. I was under the impression I would already be charged for the advice, but he said that was free. I was more than happy to have Dan write a letter to the state, explaining the error. He provided a self-addressed envelope and copies of all of my paperwork for my records with clear instructions on how to proceed. I have not had a tax preparer for well over 20 years, always relying on TurboTax. No more. I have ultimate trust that Dan and An'D will take care of me, all for a very attractive price. They will have all of my tax preparation business moving forward. I highly recommend checking them out!

Update: I asked Mona to do my taxes again this year and my experience was very good again. This…read moretime, I had her do both the federal and the state return. It was $200. It only took a couple of days before it was ready to pick up. I received a folder with the returns and envelopes that were already labeled as well as copies of the returns for myself. And, again, I found interacting with Mona more than pleasant. She remembered me from last year and asked how my studies were going etc. Very friendly atmosphere. --------------------------- I used to do my tax return myself but, this year, the state return got a little too complicated for me (I managed to do the federal one myself). So I made an appointment with Mona. I had a very positive experience and recommend this business. First of all, Mona seemed very knowledgeable. I asked her a whole bunch of questions that were not even related to my state tax return and she was able to give me answers to all my questions. She also knew right away how to do my state return and, in fact, did it right on the spot within 15 minutes or so. I found Mona very generous. First of all, she said my state return was actually quite easy to do, once you knew which lines to put the different things on (which I didn't know) and she said something like "You don't really need to pay me for this. You can just go home and do it yourself, now that you know which lines to put the different items on." I thought that was a really nice gesture, given that I had already taken up some of her time and that she had already helped me. I still had her do the return, since it was only $25. Mona was also very generous with her time and answered all my questions, even though she did not make any money by answering my questions. I thought there was a nice atmosphere at the Tucson Tax Team office. The front desk lady was very friendly and got me a cup of coffee while I was waiting and she joked around a little with the other accountant in the hallway before Mona came out to greet me. Overall, I recommend this business. Mona seemed very competent and everyone is very friendly.

I was looking for a tax preparer a few years ago and a good friend recommended them. I called…read morethem, and before I could hardly get a word out, I was told they weren't accepting new clients. Ok. I went to someone else who retired this year. I called Tucson Tax Team again, after hours, and left a voicemail. When they hadn't returned my call after a few days, I called again during office hours and again received their voicemail. I left another message and, again, never heard back from them. If they're so busy that the support staff can't even return calls, how much time would they spend on my taxes and how much attention would they give them? Good, conscientious service starts with the first contact.
