My father and I have been simply overwhelmed with administrative complexities of elder care as much as the care itself. At every point of contact from the our nurse Linda, to the administration by Andrea and Deepti and the personal attention of Gagan, we are truly blessed to have them as part of our family. They have provided as much comfort to me as they have mom. Care Mountain is rich in knowledge and delivers a very human, comforting touch point for mom where all too often you find staff that have become desensitized to the very nature of the care you want for your parents. While my mother's care is paramount for us, I selfishly must admit that the relief they have provided me is equally important. We don't ever worry about mom when I'm not there. I feel reassured that they are giving my mother the physical care with the kindness and love I would. To be frank, I don't feel guilty that I can't be at my mom's bedside 24/7 with Care Mountain. I had no idea it would be two weeks and when the care giver showed up. She had another assignment and that took on a life of it's own making her unavailable for our time slot. I had no choice but to leave this company. I was told by Lisa that she had two caregivers to send in place of the one we had. Strange that suddenly this is a given choice when it should have been offered before when the caregiver could not meet the request of time with us. A company is only as good as it's employees which should also be taken into consideration of qualifications .

He needs hands-on help with wheelchair mobility and bathing. The care did not meet that need, and the manager's response made it worse. Caregiver Caroline spent long stretches on her phone and did not help unless she was told to. She made no effort to push his wheelchair. When asked to give him a shower, she said she would only use wet wipes. She first refused instructions from both my wife and aunt, then told me my uncle did not want a shower. o Only for him to say immediately say he did want one. Caroline then made excuses and said she had no shower chair or gloves. My wife had to go buy both. She showered my uncle reluctantly and left the towels and supplies on the floor for us to clean up. We called Senior Care Manager Adrian Curry-Jones the same day and asked for a different caregiver. She said it was her birthday, she was going out to celebrate, and no one else was available. The next day Caroline arrived about 20 minutes late. No one called to tell us. The lack of help and poor atittuwas the same as day before. We called again to voice our issues and cancelled future service with Griswold. Ms. Curry-Jones rather than being understanding or apologetic became defensive. We needed reliable help for a disabled family member and did not get it. I would NOT recommend their services.

However, there is so much turnover that you never know what you're going to get from day to day. But there are larger issues related to scheduling and customer service. There are frequent mixups and last-minute changes in scheduling that make it difficult to rely on the company. Continuity and reliability are critical in this field. The result is often that families are left to scramble frantically trying to get caregiving assistance. An even bigger problem is that when you raise these issues, the supervisor (Ari) is defensive, short, interrupting, and seems somewhat annoyed that she has to deal with any problems. When I I raised these problems with the owner (Robbie) in an email, I received no reply. No apology, no explanation, no promise to do better, nothing. It's hard to find good Caregiving assistance, even in big cities. Unfortunately, this company is not one of the standouts.
