I've always read Yelp reviews, but I don't usually write them. This time though, I wanted to give high marks for Right-At-Home Care for the great job they provided for my mother recently. She was admitted to the hospital after suffering a bad reaction to the new medication she was administered. The hospital was able to change the medication, and she reacted well. The doctors were concerned about her mobility and fall risk and started her on physical therapy. She was there about 5 days and upon release, her mobility was better, and her fall risk was getting lower but were not at an acceptable level yet. The hospital suggested she have round-the-clock care for 1 or 2 days after she was released. The memory care section of the senior facility she resides provides hourly monitoring but not the 24 hour care my 94-year-old mother was going to require. The facility gave me a few companies they had worked with as I had never used a care giver service before. I called all three and explained what I needed, and it had to start in 48 hours when she was released. I spoke to the Co-Owner of Right at Home Care, and they immediately said they would work on coverage and would call me back the next day. They could not guarantee they could find full-service coverage for a dementia resident under such a short timeframe but would try. By the end of the next day, they called me and confirmed that they had in place 6 full-time shifts of professional care givers that can provide the constant assistance and monitoring my mother would require for the two days. The caregivers were friendly, arrived as scheduled, kind and professional and were also available to support the hospital home care nurses and physical therapist when needed. They kept my mom company, gave her walks, helped her dress, eat etc. Verbal updates by the owners were provided after every shift and written documentation was provided for my records. I really felt a sigh of relief. After the two days were over it was determined that another two more days would be needed, and I again called and spoke to the other Co-Owner. She was very friendly, empathetic and immediately began to work on another 6 shifts of full-time coverage for two more days. I am glad to say Right At Home Care was able once again to form a full-service team for my mother. She is doing well and has also been released from the hospital's home care monitoring and assessments. I am going to definitely call on them again as the needs arise. I feel comfortable with the owners. They are easy going, professional and quickly help to offer good care with professional care givers. read more
