I would not recommend this speech therapy location. While my experience began positively, it quickly turned into a negative one. The staff made false and harmful allegations without first clarifying or verifying the facts. This not only created unnecessary stress but also left me feeling that the environment was unprofessional and unsafe for my family. I believe families deserve a supportive, trustworthy, and respectful experience, and unfortunately, that was not the case here. Negative reviews keep getting removed to misguide parents. read more

Why 5 stars? Because we all enjoyed our time here. --- --- --- Our son is several levels outside of what you'd call normal. We discovered pretty early on that he had some developmental issues and needed speech and occupational therapy. We ended up coming to Riggs for a nearly 18 months and our son really loved it. He would routinely ask to go to therapy all throughout the week, even though our appointments were only on Wednesday's. The therapists really connected with him and gave us some good tips on how to best work on things at home. Ultimately, he was discharged from speech therapy first. We stuck around a for a few months and continued to do OT. The only thing we didn't love about our experience is that there were several issues with billing throughout our time coming here. Part of that falls on the insurance company for being so confusing with the way they label certain services, but I lost track of how many times we would receive pretty substantial bills in the mail because we had been under-paying. And this would happen even after we were re-assured that the billing situation was *definitely* under control. The truth is, we would do it all over again if we took a time machine back to when we first moved to the area. But if you asked me to prove that therapy was absolutely the reason his speech improved, I really couldn't say for certain. Maybe he just got older and more mature, naturally. Or maybe speech therapy was the main driver in everything. I really don't know. But as parents, you'd rather exhaust all of your options, rather than passively do nothing. And we're glad we chose Riggs for this very important need. Probably the best part about the experience were the therapists providing us with tips on what to work on at home. These were usually great tips and things we never would have thought about otherwise. I'd definitely recommend trying Riggs out if your kiddo could use help in these areas. read more

I started taking my son to this therapy office several years back, maybe about 5 years. We have been diligently going almost wary session, with a few exceptions when we had to leave town or so. When we started, we started with 1 hour sessions, then down to 30 sessions to now OT and Speech combine in a 30 minutes session. He was getting 30 min sessions for each before. For the past 3 years they have been trying to push my son out for services. My son is non verbal autism. He needs therapy, so not only did they v Cut his session, they are not not wanting to provide services. When they started to expand their clientele, we are no longer important because it seems they want to make from for others. They feel they need to cut him for services because they feel he is not improving, how can he improve if his sessions have been cut, and when they say 30 mins, technically it's 15 minutes. It takes them a while to get him, and then they get him out 5 to 10 minutes early. Out insurance approved, according to them, 30 minutes sessions but them combining the services is technically only 15 minutes each, if that. Very very disappointed. I never thought this company would be one of those that actually cut a child with special needs like this, as if we dont matter​​ read more

We can't say enough how much we are pleased with the level of care our child has received at Riggs Therapy. Nicole has been an absolute gem to work with. Her dedication, knowledge, patience, and kid-friendly disposition has been a true blessing for our child and us. We have seen great improvements in his reading and writing since his dsylexia diagnosis. One aspect that we find helpful is the communication efforts that Nicole uses to help us parents implement at home what is taught in each session. She welcomes questions and is always attentive to our child's needs. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the one-on-one, child-centered approach offered at Riggs and the tender tutelage from Nicole has set our child on a trajectory for success. My daughter has a speech delay and has been working with Ms. Carina at Riggs for the past 4 months. Not only have we seen huge improvements in Finley's speech and articulation in such a short time but this entire team has gone above to be helpful with getting my girl comfortable coming in, with any issues that pop up with our insurance, and generally a professional yet so friendly team. My daughter actually looks forward to coming to speech to see Ms. Carina weekly.
