What I like about the on mountain restaurants is that service tips are not charged- it's probably blended in the rate, you just get the 10% local tax.
I stopped in after the Porzen lift that flies over the cross holding figure. The restaurant is so rustic with reclaimed wood everywhere and tech hidden in the walls, from electronic raising privacy windows to automated doors at the entrance and washroom entrance.
Service is very fast, we ordered the bolognese pasta and a chefs platter. Just a tip from a North American girl, platters are not shareable in Italy- I realized they aren't shareable they are just a mix of different items. And apparently alpine grits is cheese? The menus are in German, Italian and English-- so I'm ordering the same thing as the locals.
As with European eating-water cost money so order a beverage because there's no complimentary water coming around.
The ice cream is good- chocolate is the riches. Check out my IG @foodrebelivana for some pics on the food and video pans.
Just a tip, it's one of the only restaurants on the mountain I had no data service and no free internet so I couldn't google plates before ordering-hence my surprise to a small platter. read more
