They go above and beyond to make your experience here convenient and relaxing. We were welcomed with a nice refreshing, nonalcoholic drink. The spa experience is wonderful. The hotel comes equipped with both wet and dry saunas and relaxation room. The large pool and jacuzzi are both at perfect temperatures. The jacuzzi transitions from indoors to outdoors. The hotel room was also very nice. We were welcomed with fruits, snacks, and champagne. I enjoyed waking up to the morning view everyday. The breakfast is outstanding.

let me start by saying this review is based on value, not how super duper fancy the hotel was. ok…read moreso the hotel is old.. and yes, there are certain things you get from an old structure. you get uniqueness and coziness. but you also get old plumbing. so yes the bathtub doesn't have a curtain (nor any sort of barrier that keeps the water in the tub), but the water pressure will blow your doors off and the staff is genuinely top notch and super sweet and they will be happy the mop up the big puddle of water outside the tub each morning. seriously i loved the staff. they were super helpful with all my questions on navigating the dolomites and where the parking lot was (this was a bit sarcastic as the parking lot was quite difficult to find even after parking there for 3 days). but look, this is the least expensive hotel in town (at least it was when i booked) and i had a very comfortable experience there. great location, great staff, great price. definitely recommend if you're looking for a (close to) 4-star hotel at 3-star price.

On my trip a few months ago, I decided to stay at this rifugio. It's one of the few that opens…read moreslightly sooner than the rest. The special shuttle stops at their lower parking lot. They specifically call it a shuttle because the regional bus passes doesn't work on it and it cost 15 euros. Since there are no other park fees, I think they just built in the cost of the park entrance to it (private cars have to pay 25 euros to get in). Since I was early in the season (early June), I got a room to myself which normally fits 6 people. I think it would be a little claustrophobic if there were 6 of us in that room. There's not much extra room for bags, etc. I do like how they require you to take off your shoes before going on the dorm area, that makes the floor cleaner. There's a bathroom for each floor and big dining area on the first floor. When you pay for your room, you have the option of ordering breakfast or half board (dinner & breakfast). I decided to order half board and that was a slight mistake. They gave SO MUCH food for dinner, it could easily feed 2. The food was very good though and the views are jaw droppingly AMAZING!

We stayed for two nights and were able to get rest and recharge for the long hikes during the day. the location is super convenient to walk to the cable car, the bus station and the main plaza and restaurants in the town. The rooms were cleaned and sanitized and all the linen, including the bath robes were soft and inviting. The staff was really attentive and polite and made sure we had a pleasant stay. We did have a bit of an issue while trying to pay as the credit card system was down and our taxi to the next spot was waiting, so we had to rush to get cash to be able to pay. Try to settle your tab early if you can !

Maid service came through multiple times per day keeping my room in perfect order. The location of this hotel is great since it's walking distance to downtown Cortina (lots of shops, bars, restaurants). You have to drive to the slopes, but that's how it works here no matter where you stay. Breakfast was included with my room and was ok. Eggs, pastries, coffee, and fresh fruit were served daily. Not a particularly impressive spread but got the job done. The spa (aka Wellness Center) is large with multiple saunas and steam rooms (coed). They also have a pool and hot tub, which always had kiddies playing - don't expect an oasis. I opted for a massage one afternoon, and it was below average. Also the spa receptionists don't speak English, unusual for a fancy hotel.
