The first good sign was that we could hear everyone in the restaurant speaking Italian. The glass display case is filled with beautiful pastries, cookies, slices of cakes along with sandwiches and mini pizzas .We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and two americanos (American style coffee).
If I could rate just the food it would be a solid 5 stars (I'm sure it helps that we were SO hungry!) The bread was warm but also light and crispy with Parma ham, melted cheese, topped with tomato and lettuce. The coffee was excellent, too. It was a perfect place for a casual and quick lunch.
