I can't say enough great things about the practice and about Dr. Ewen, who I was fortunate enough to see as my primary care doctor for 4 years. I was really surprised to find such a great practice in a small town like Dubuque. Specifically, my providers always listened to me and addressed my concerns. They didn't lecture me or act like they knew more than me. I really hated to move away, mostly because I knew I would lose Dr. Ewen and this practice. But if you're in or near Dubuque, I have the highest confidence in recommending Grand River Medical family practice.

The doctor threatened me... a lab tech went on and on and on LOUDLY about peeing first thing in the morning to an elderly woman who looked as if she wished she could disappear... a lab tech caught a hot mic moment and reacted very poorly.... called administration and they were VERY RUDE, HOSTILE and dismissive of me and my husband. I really didn't expect any more from them as they have been going downhill with increasing speed lately. Unless you are rich, you have to be wise where you spend your health care dollars, and probably should be concerned about angry, hostile, uncaring people treating you, so, again -- buyer beware.
