They put everything back together so I wouldn't be without a vehicle while we waited for the correct parts to come in. Once the parts arrived, they got me in the very same day. The care they showed--not just to me, but to my family--really stood out. It's rare to find a place that treats you like more than just another customer. Two points to make:…read more 1) Great mechanical service (5 stars) I've been to BAS approximately 5 times and the repairs were both done in a timely fashion and with excellent results 2) Customer Service (3 stars) In the 5 times I've had work done..... not once have I been called to give me an estimate of cost & time necessary to complete the job! Just a call on completion with a cost due and a review of what devices were completed. This last time (Tuesday), the car was towed there. A young lady took my wife's information and even gave her a ride home. We didn't hear from them on Wednesday so WE FOLLOWED UP! They didn't even know the car was there! We were told they would check the car for the estimate and call back....they didn'! Now I will have to wait until Thursday am to find out what's up! They cost my wife a days work/pay. She uses the car to do her job. She's off on Wednesdays and will lose Thursday's pay because they lost the car and didn't do the work on Wednesda! I'm sure they'll say "that's to bad".....we'll see.

Bought a truck at the end of 2016 that had just had a new A/C compressor installed at Tommy Boys…read more I'm not sure what else they replaced/repaired at that time. The compressor didn't see much hot weather until summer 2017, when it died. The compressor was still under warranty, so I took it back to the shop. I made sure to verify that they would also replace the dryer and orifice tube and fully flush the system rather than just slap a new compressor on. Of, but of course! My old dryer was marked. When I picked my truck up, it still had all of the old parts, just a new compressor slapped on. When you don't replace the dryer and orifice tube and flush the system, you run a high risk of shards from the old compressor getting into the new one and destroying it. Sure enough, only a couple months of use and the A/C went out. The compressor wasn't coming on. I wasn't sure if it had a leak that had been missed or the compressor had died. I dropped by to get them to look at it. They insisted I would have to come back the next day. I understand shops are busy, but when you have already warrantied your work once (and you know you didn't fix it right) you could at least offer to take a quick look to determine the problem. I took it to another shop, and they determined it is the compressor. All in all, it was a terrible experience and I don't recommend them at all for A/C work.

I looked up 'MECHANIC' on Google and this is the shop that came up, the only one and clearly the best. It was after 4pm, I called and he literally talked me through what the problem was. We had the car towed, his shop closed it 6, he waited on us with the tow truck and did not stop until he found what the problem was. We did not leave until well after 6pm and not once did he express any type of aggravation or attitude. Very professional, kind, and affordable. The next day the car started to make a weird noise and we called and he had no problem informing that the part was under warranty so if need be, we could go locally (since we were back in Georgia) to get it replaced if need be.
