Pretty dependable. First figure out if you're on the weekend or weekday schedule. Weekdays have…read moretrains leaving from Terminal E/F at :07 and :37. As long as it's a weekday (between 5AM and midnight), trains are running every half hour. It's truly the best/fastest/cheapest way to get to Center City (which means, Suburban Station or Jefferson Station, depending on where you choose to disembark). Tips: There's no disadvantage to getting a SEPTAKey (transit card) at the kiosk before getting on the train. It works the same way as a Ventra card (Chicago) and a MetroCard (NYC). You can just pay the ticket person if you forget to pay the fare or don't have time to purchase before the train leaves (you will not get a fine issued, they will just ask you for payment when they walk around) If you are confused about where the train goes, download the Transit app which has the live location of the train. You can generally also tap to pay with your credit card on any of the SEPTA buses/trains. If you purchased a SEPTA card (as above) you can make an online account to store the card. As of the time of writing, you cant make a digital wallet with the card.

I wish the train system's maps and stations were displayed better. The sound system on the trains could be a little louder and decipherable, too. I had to watch the map on my phone to figure out where I was because a map wasn't displayed in the car and I couldn't hear the conductor when he spoke. Keep your ticket or your phone app out. The train staff will be by to check them.

The airport is a large airport with good transportation connections to Center City…read more The biggest problem is the connecting flights in different areas and the need to transport in buses from one area to the other. For people that need assistance mobility wise, sometimes there is a gap in service and one has to sweat the time to connect. The airport was redone a few years ago and lots of eateries were added.

I really enjoy this airport. I can't speak for every terminal, but I've visited for Southwest and more recently the American Airlines Terminal B. It was DENSE with shops and food. Clean, nice. Really helpful, friendly staff at the information booth and shops that I visited. I like the way you move around here. Arrivals up top, departures at the bottom, and then departure ground transportation divided between the an inner and outer ring for the various shuttles and bus services. (I had to ask to figure out where to stand, but I liked the layout once I got it.) And the SEPTA comes right up to the terminal. I've gone in and out of here a variety of ways and have been impressed in my experience with the ease for such a large airport. And yeah, plenty of places to eat and shop once you get inside.
