I have also had a ton of issues with them coding my visits wrong, so my insurance does not cover the appointment. Example: during my annual physical exam which is covered by my insurance 100%, however, the DOCTOR asked me additional questions regarding my overall health and because of that they didn't code this visit as an annual physical exam so it was not covered. They did the same thing with my annual Mammogram. They mis coded this visit so it was not covered 100%. They are only focused on making money and not on the patient care. It's actually unethical.

Rae got me settled it and she was just honestly the best. She was so kind and patient and really made me feel confident in my choice to come here to get established. I chose this facility because many of the providers were listed in a recent article of the best physicians in Minneapolis. It's a teaching facility so I was able to see a second year resident. I was able to read their bio ahead of time which was really nice. There was a med student in my appointment which was hard for an initial appointment (though I did consent). It would've been nice as an initial appointment to just be with the physician. Dr. Christianson was thorough going through my medical history and getting things updated. I feel like they really care and inspired confidence in them as a provider.

I went to see Dr. Martinez for my annual physical for the first time, anxious and excited to meet the new doctor I picked. I made the mistake of assuming that my time with her would be similar to the many physicals I had before.Unfortunately, things turned sour the moment I saw her. My experience with my previous doctor was always about my care, and her full attention was on me to examine me and answer all the questions I had during the ~30 minute physical exam every year. There was nothing I couldn't ask her in that time that would trigger a different billing code other than an annual physical.Dr. Martinez immediately made my visit's focus about billing, wanting to change my appointment to an acute visit instead of a physical because I had questions and updates about my health--which was just standard practice between my previous doctor and me. I didn't have any new symptoms that had not been discussed with other doctors before, but somehow I got billed for both a physical and also an acute 30-minute office visit. My whole visit was 30 minutes long, which included my wait time while she was running in and out, wait time for labs, and the lab work itself. So even if she interpreted my general health questions and updates as something outside the scope of a physical, I'm not sure how she could bill me for a full physical and a 30-minute consult when I saw her for 20 minutes max--and I'm being very generous with that estimate. She was mean, argumentative, completely unhelpful, condescending, and used split billing as a predatory billing practice. She is the definition of how to take care out of healthcare.
