I used to love the service from USPS- Ridgeland, however, last year I began noticing problems with delivery. One month I didnt get several of my bills delivered. Next month I would get them. I then realized there was a staff change & my normal delivery person was changed to a different route. I am unsure why the change since he would return different day, different weeks. Mixing the regular delivery person always had my bills and medications to me same time monthly. I am now lucky if I get mail and/or meds. What ever is happening at USPS-Ridgeland needs correction. I have seen many come & go over the years & this is definitely the worst I have ever seen doing delivery and a few window workers at the post office should retire and move out rather than treat people so rudely. A ship is only as good as its captain so whoever runs that branch now, needs to fix many issues I have watched over the years deteriorate. Maybe step aside & let someone else do the job. Quit sitting in your office. Get out & pay attention to your branch & those claiming to 'work' there. Wonderful staff who are happy to serve and pleasant to everyone. They also had plenty of products available. Madison post office was completely out of stamps, but Ridgeland had an ample supply. I will use this post office from now on, even though I live in Madison. read more

Like all usps sites - short on staff . Sad and sorry for employees having to do 3x the work . Needs better smarter upper management

This is my go to post office. I've never had a problem with the care and attention of the post office workers who man the counter. Yes, of course, there are wait times and yes there are times when it seems like it's taking a long time for your turn. That being said, it's been my experience that is not an uncommon occurrence everywhere, whether it's Walmart, Subway, or the post office - they are definitely short staffed. To me, what matters is how I'm treated when it's my turn to get that face-to-face assistance, and I have always been treated with respect and the desire to make sure I am a happy guy. This is the worst post office I've been to by far. The people who work here don't seem to appreciate their jobs. If there was ever a case to close down the usps, this place very well maybe the poster child for it. I've been there on multiple occasions and the vibes here keep repeating themselves. Honestly, they should "clean house" at this place and start over. Then everyone should be rated on their customer service going forward. I believe they feel as though nothing will happen to their jobs no matter how bad their attitudes or behaviors are. Imagine trying to figure out the best way to mail a letter and while completing the paperwork , the usps guy making slick comments to you. I'm not joking, this actually happened on a visit. I'm not sure of the way that they hire people, but this particular post office needs to be reviewed periodically. read more
