I appreciated the little touches-- extra cozy blankets rolled up on the ends of the beds, plenty of towels and washcloths. Had we had more time we could have enjoyed sitting at the table and chairs outside enjoying the view of the lake across the street. Definitely would stay here again. The only negative, although the website still advertises it there is no continental breakfast due to Covid.

The bathroom was small but updated. It was quiet. The parking was convenient. The room came with a cute back porch and an area to walk around. The only downside was I felt it was a little overpriced for what you got. The low quality sheets on the bed were worn out. The piling made them feel like coarse sandpaper. It's a shame because the mattress was very comfortable.

My food was not just good, nor very good: It was outstanding! A total do-over. The mushroom soup was one of the best things I have EVER eaten. Positively delicious! We came at a time both the spa and free continental breakfast are not being offered but the bar was able to accommodate us for cocktails in the evening and we did get to have dinner one night in the inn's restaurant. Parking was easy outside and no issues staying warm during the winter storm from our room. Only feedback that is important to note, the walls are thin so if you're a light sleeper it could be tough with noises from rooms adjacent or noise in the hall.

We booked 2 nights for the 10th & 11th nothing major. I wrenched my back pretty bad before we were going had to cancel on the 7th. The owner told my wife no refund & that's OK I understand the cancelation policy but would not let us rebook for a later date. My wife has tried to contact the owner a couple of times & no response. Wanted to book locally but not again in Boone if this is the way they treat guests. So if you book there you better hope life doesn't show up outside of their cancelation policy. Mike Garcia

The scenery is outstanding. Absolutely beautiful scenes out my window every morning. Neat places for a short hike. Well maintained pool. The first night the hot tub had an odor, but they cleaned it and it there were no more odors the rest of the week. The whole place smells kind of like my grandmothers sewing room. Sort of a cedary-musty smell. I have mold allergies, and didn't have issues. So it might just be the smell of old wood. Lots of things to see on the nearby blue ridge parkway. We picnicked at a scenic overlook one day, and at Linville falls the next. Price was right too.
