I had this insurance with them for two years which came by default through the dealer. My girlfriend had an accident, and I had bad customer service whenever I called them to make a payment before this, and was worried how it would all work out. My girlfriend was injured and covered under our own health insurance since rider didn't offer us a medical policy. The bike was deemed a total loss, which seemed odd because the damage wasn't that severe. They gave us a ridiculous quote on what they would give us for the bike, and it was like $900 less than what we owed. The bike only had 1,100 miles on it. They argued that they couldn't verify the mileage because the towing company didn't leave the key. So I had to physically drive up to where it was being held (an hour away) and use my spare key to get a reading. They of course wouldn't believe me, so I had to have the lady from the shop call them to tell them the mileage. They ended up giving me a whopping $300 more because of the low mileage. But wait, after this happened they were like we had the bike listed wrong in our insurance catalog and cannot release the check until you PAY $300+ for the differential. I verified on the phone with them that they had the right VIN number and asked them how they could mistake this bike for another one when the VIN numbers matched. They told me, "Well the dealer told us it was a 650X and not a Ninja." So I argued that they insured the VIN number and why wouldn't it come up in their system as a Ninja when they had the right VIN. "Oh, our system doesn't work like that." Really? The only insurance company in America where the VIN number doesn't tell you the type of vehicle? The lady raised her voice to me (she was a manager), so I asked to speak to her boss. A district manager called me back and fed me the same crap, and was unapologetic about her rude manager. In the end I had to pay $300+ for a mistake that wasn't mine, and because rider is too cheap to have a good system in place. They also have no class to do this after the accident, and after my girlfriend is hurt. They should of owned up to THEIR mistake, and not asked me to pay more after a claim. I will never do business with them ever again. And I hope everyone out there takes heed to my experience. You get what you pay for. read more
