This business is permanently closed as of fall 2025. Disappointing that they did not reach out to current customers to let us know. I went there today to purchase an accessory that I'd been saving up for since September only to find closed doors. :( read more

Staff was awesome, had great suggestions on what bike and where to go. Very friendly. The bikes were pretty much new and performed so well! We left there wanting to go buy some! Really had a great time and can't wait to go back. We were able to go further because we had the pedal Assist than we would have without it. So relaxing too! read more

Ride the Glide - RTG rocks! - Bikes Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

Rented ebikes for the afternoon with wife and teenage kids - so much fun! Explored the Galloping Goose bike trail. Corrine and her daughter were extremely helpful and friendly, and made it so easy. Highly recommend! read more

My husband and I both purchased Sena bicycle helmets at RTG in October 2021. At first the mesh intercoms worked very well and we were able to easily communicate with each other. However, for the past few months, one of the helmets started to malfunction. We returned to RTG for help and are impressed with the excellent service and communication from Corrine! She acted as our advocate with Sena, and she kept us in the loop. Finally, last week, she gave us a new helmet from their in-store stock rather than having us wait for Sena to mail a new helmet. We've been out several times with the new helmet, and it's working great so far! We really appreciated the excellent customer service we received from this local business and will be repeat customers because of it. read more

How disappointing to have this bike shop show so little respect for their customers. Service is poor at best. The owners are rude and dismissive! Customers expect more after spending big money on an e-bike! Thank goodness there are other e-bike shops in Victoria! Any one of them has to be better than Ride the Glide! Don't waste your money!! Even a one star rating is being overly kind! As Ride the Glide has now responded to my review, I will elaborate. My son, who lives with a brain injury depends on his e-bike, purchased from you, as his only form of mobility aside from public transit. His experience with your company has been very frustrating for him. His bike was stolen at one point and seriously trashed by the thieves. Another bike shop helped with repairs. He has been treated poorly by your company whenever he has contacted you. Recently he approached you with a malfunctioning battery and was refused any service or assistance. While you may excel at rentals....per the positive comments on Yelp....your customer service leaves much to be desired. read more

Fantastic staff, perfect location. I rented my first e-bike here for a nice fall ride. The staff was efficient, friendly and knowledgable about e-bikes. It doesn't take long to learn the particulars of riding one and then you're out the door and on the new Wharf Street protected bike lane! You can go over the new bridge and ride the Galloping Goose or turn right and head to Dallas Road waterfront. I loved this bike-- a cruiser-- and now plan to buy one. E-bikes are the future! My commute to work is only 7 km and getting in a car every day to get there makes no sense. I still feel like I got some exercise but not a vigorous work-out. I wasn't sweating, but I certainly wasn't cold. I tackled some major hills in town and the e-bike got me at a steady 28km/hour. I read more

This place is fantastic. Super reasonable rates, extremely friendly staff and of course the bike are AWESOME! We had so much fun cruising all around the waterfront and up to the University. What a blast and what a great place to rent from. They will even drop them off at your hotel/VRBO. We picked them up from the store. read more

I purchased a $1600 Zero 9 scooter for my daughter. It was not in stock so we made an appointment to pick it up later, and made a point of confirming the appointment because it required four hours of driving to get there. They were aware of this. Nonetheless, when we arrived at the appointed time we found they had completely forgotten about us and the scooter was not there. Alternative arrangements were made, but the four hours driving time and fuel were wasted. Subsequently, within a few days of finally getting the scooter, it shorted out while charging due to what we were advised was a manufacturing defect. Ride the Glide (RTG Bikes) refused to honour the warranty, claiming that by having plugged it in to charge we "caused" the short. Yes, you read that right. I was planning to buy three more scooters to carry on our boat for shore excursions, and our neighbours were considering buying two for themselves, but we will all now be taking our business elsewhere. read more

My family and I went on the 2.5 hour Segway tour by Ride the Glide. The tours offered by our cruise ship were boring to my teenage sons so I googled "Segway Victoria" and found this company. It was a quick 20 minute cab ride to Ride the Glide from the port. We signed a waiver, watched a safety video and then practiced before we went on the trails which led us to downtown Victoria. Michael was our instructor and leader and we found him to be humorous and informative. We wore ear pieces which allowed us to hear him. It was a beautiful day, so much fun, and I would highly recommend this tour! read more

Amazing service! The owners were super friendly and helpful and made sure that we were prepared before we were on our own. I understand that the owners can't control the riders that rent the bikes but they were clear that our responsibility as riders was to be respectful to others on the trail. The bikes themselves are very fun, and differ from conventional cycling in that you can enjoy the view without being out of breath. Wish them the best and super excited to come back for another ride! read more

Excellent service. Very friendly. We rented electric bicycles. They were in perfect condition and were a lot of fun to ride. Very convenient when climbing up Victoria's hilly streets. read more

We rented four bikes for a four hour ride and had a blast. Right from the beginning the staff were extremely helpful. Unfortunately an hour into the rental one of the bikes sustained a flat and within half an hour, the owner was at our location with a replacement and with the assurance that we could extend our rental return to compensate. Being locals we knew where to go and had a great ride through several municipalities. Also, as we are considering purchasing bikes, this was a great way to try them out. An added bonus is Ride the Glide also sells bikes. Highly recommend whether you are a tourist or a local and this will not be the last time we rent. Oh.. did I mention the customer service can't be beat!! read more

Shame that the woman who's there does not know how to offer proper customer service. My daughter and I went in looking for a scooter. I had done some research and was ready to order a scooter but wanted to compare the Zero 9 and the Zero 10 . First we were told we couldn't take two scooter out at the same time, then when we came back to try the second scooter Zero 10 and she told us that she could not let it go out because it was a customers scooter. This was the fourth time I had been there so I was serious about buying, when we asked when their demo scooter would be back she said "when we give this one back" when we asked for a specific day or time she said not for a while....Really???!! She didn't take our information or phone number to try and make the sale. It was the WORST service ever. Definitely NOT the kind of people I want to buy something from. If they don't know how to get a customer I can't imagine they will work any harder to keep one. I went on-line and bought the Qiewa scooter from Amazon. It's a better scooter (water proof; which we were told neither the Zero 9 or Zero 10 are). Too bad, I like supporting local shops but this person has to get a clue about how to deal with customers. read more
