A row of pristine clean cars. I picked one, got in it and left. When I returned it I pulled up and another super nice guy looked at my papers and said "you owe zero dollars have a nice flight." And I went on my way. THANK YOU ALAMO !! I will always use Alamo anywhere now, I've never had such great and easy service in such a long time.

Which doesn't make any sense if she was the driver and they had everything else in her name she even offered to put her card on file even though I paid for everything and extra insurance when I asked to talk to the manager she said she would cancel the reservation but couldn't give me a refund??? That I had to call customer service which is on central time so closed and then hung up on me when I said that wasn't happy with the idea that she's canceling my reservation but not giving me a refund or recipe for the cancellation. So NO I would not recommend Alamo because clearly they will take your money but not guarantee your reservation or refund.

No matter how much I explained that I paid in full already, she was adamant that I was responsible to pay an additional booking fee. I'm now trying to get that refunded through Priceline. I had rental car coverage with no deductible through my credit card company but they refused to use it and made my car insurance my primary for the rental. Then took a $1000 deposit because that's my insurance deductible. I had both policies printed out and they still refused to take my credit card coverage. The front desk staff was rude with no customer skills at all. I waited about 45 minutes at check in and check out though there was only one person in front of me both times. At check in, someone came in and went around me and staff took care of him before me. The car was clean until I leaned the seat back and discovered some disgusting I don't even know what. I should have listened to the feedback on the Puerto Rico Facebook groups about this company and booked elsewhere. This was literally the only bad thing about my entire trip but the stress sucked. The only good thing about this company is the airport shuttle. Super friendly service both ways and quick pick ups.

Not got to mention they processed my husband the entire way through as the wrong person ! And yes he has his ID! Rent from real company where they hold $250 and all fees and in black and white ! This company there is a fee for everything! I think they may have even tried to take my husbands DNA! Don't waste ur time cheaper IS NOT always better!!!

On the positive side, the employees were friendly and helpful, and the car itself was mechanically fine and adequate for the trip. However, there were several issues that significantly impacted the overall experience. The rental location required a shuttle outside the airport, which added inconvenience. The car was returned to me dirty (dirt, sand, damp smells) and already had noticeable bumps and scratches, which didn't inspire confidence at pickup. I paid $30 to get it cleaned internally, at my cost. Pricing transparency was also a concern. While the base rental looked competitive at booking, several additional costs were not clearly communicated upfront. I paid $67 to drop the car off at the airport, which ended up being my only viable option due to an early flight (their office opens around 6:30 a.m.). Drop-off instructions were provided verbally with no written confirmation, which worked out, but felt informal for a major rental company. I was also charged $37 for fuel because the tank was reportedly short by about 1/16, which felt excessive for such a small difference. Regarding tolls: I initially had concerns about a $10 per-toll plus cost of toll charge, but to clarify, I did purchase their unlimited toll pass for $100, so I was not charged per toll. That said, the toll policy overall was not clearly explained during booking. Finally, there was significant pressure to purchase their insurance. Even though I provided proof of insurance and a valid credit card, I was told my personal vehicle insurance might not qualify because my insured car at home was "too old." This felt unnecessarily intimidating. In the end, the perceived ~$200 savings compared to other rental options were largely offset by extra charges, time, and inconvenience. Overall, the experience was average at best. I would likely choose another rental company in the future if you value better infrastructure, easier airport logistics, smoother operations, and clearer upfront pricing.

    STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE…read more This was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had with any company. Upon arriving to pick up my rental, the staff member assisting us, Jonathan, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional toward both my family and other customers. The vehicle we were given was absolutely unacceptable, completely filthy, with stains on the seats, a terrible odor (a mix of what smelled like feces, dirty mop water, and smoke), and visible damage including dents and missing interior pieces. We immediately complained and requested another vehicle. At first, our concerns were brushed off, and even after Jonathan agreed to provide a different car, we were left waiting outside in the heat for over 30 minutes while he socialized with coworkers, after a long day of travel. During this process, Jonathan also repeatedly implied that we would be responsible for damages to the vehicle, even though we had purchased a collision damage waiver. He specifically stated we would still be responsible for at least a $1,000 deductible, which added unnecessary stress and confusion given the coverage we had already paid for. At that point, we decided we could not safely or reasonably proceed with the rental and left. We were taken back to the airport by shuttle. During the shuttle ride back, the driver shared that issuing vehicles in filthy condition is apparently a recurring issue at this location. He also mentioned that he has recommended a different cleaning method he was familiar with from a previous employer, but that his suggestions have been ignored by management. What makes this experience even worse is that I was still charged an odd, confusing amount by the company--even though I never drove the car off the lot due to its condition. I have had to deal with partial refunds and unclear billing that does not make sense for a rental I never used. For context, I have rented with this same company in other cities, including Los Angeles and Orlando, and those experiences were completely different--professional service and clean, well-maintained vehicles. This location does not reflect that standard at all. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this location entirely.
