This was an event I purchased as an adult-friendly evening, I do wish this was stated when signing up for classes or at least offer adult-only or all ages classes. It just wasn't the vibe I was going for that evening and frankly was pretty annoying. Although, the owner did try to play down the boy's presence and kindly answer his questions, etc - I probably wouldn't take another class there unfortunately. Petra and Andy take such pride in their shop and it shows! We started wandering (and salivating over) their small but impressive selection of sauces, oils, salts, and Italian goodies. They have samples of most of their items, so definitely ask when you're in! The class started with Petra giving a brief overview of the general recipe and then we got our hands dirty almost immediately kneading the dough. The dough got to rest for a bit while we got to sip on some beautiful red wine and Petra taught us how to make a puttanesca sauce. When we went back to knead some more, Andy had magically cleaned the stations and set us up for the next round! On our next rest break, Petra finished assembling the puttanesca with some pasta she made earlier that day and we got a healthy serving of fresh pasta and puttanesca, followed by a sample of some of the most amazing Panettone I have ever had. The care that Petra and Andy put into their work is evident, and their commitment to supporting organic, high quality foods is remarkable. Looking forward to many more classes here!

As the web world eeked its way upon me, I started to feel like I really needed to learn some new tricks. At C2, that was so much easier than I could have thought. The classes are super small and intimate. The instructors really know their stuff - um, hi, Adobe certified. In the past month I have taken 2 sessions on subjects I knew very little about. The owners: Josh and Amber, I can't say enough wonderful things about these two! What they have created here in Milwaukee is so genuine and clearly comes out of their love for dance. They are both incredible dancers and teach the Salsa/Bachata classes. Their passion for sharing their love of dance is evident in the way they teach and the way they run their business. Since reopening after the covid-19 lockdown they have done an incredible job creating a safe atmosphere that still allows people to come in and have a great time learning to dance. They care a great deal about the people that come to Daync and that is clearly evident by the effort they put in to get to know everyone. I had only been attending classes for a few months before covid hit. Then when they were able to reopen an injury kept me sidelined for a while longer. On my first day back in 6 months: I was standing outside waiting to check in, Josh sees me from down the line and even though I was wearing a mask he recognized me, greeted me by name, and said he was glad to have me back after so long away. This is exactly the sort of caring, inclusive culture they have created at Daync. Everyone is welcome, and they make darn sure that you know that. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about these two. Class offerings: They have a multitude of class offerings featuring various styles and skill levels all throughout the week. Hip hop, Salsa, and Bachata are their main dance classes during the week and offer different levels and partner classes for the later two. They also offer a contemporary class, Capoeira, and most recently have started offering a heels class for the ladies (or anyone that wants to get in touch with their feminine side, I suppose). Josh and Amber teach the Salsa/Bachata classes and they have a small handful of incredible instructors that rotate through the hip hop classes. Pro tip: If you're hosting a party here, bring chairs! As this is a pole house, there's lots of swinging and sliding but not necessarily a whole lot of sitting. The space allows for a good number of people and the hosts were able to bring in some catered food as well. Not all poles are created equal, definitely go for the ones that rotate as opposed to those that are stationary, it's just more fun! Note that this is on the second floor of an older building, so be cognizant of that when planning an event. You could definitely do worse for a fun event or party than Pole Factory MKE!
