Have shopped here literally for decades. Every piece of jewelry from wedding rings on came from Riddles. Stopped in today to get a watch battery replaced and discuss a custom design ring. Waited patiently but ended up walking out when staff waited on people that had clearly come in after us. I guess it is time to see what other jewelry stores in Sioux Falls offer. read more

Ran into some issues with trying to buy a ring elsewhere and she was able to sort out the entire mess for us and made sure to make the situation right when she didn't have to!!! So, the jewelry is gorgeous. We've always gone to Riddles for all of our jewelry. Keep in mind that, that means for 17 years we have shopped with this store. That being said, I adore all my jewelry. Its beautiful, and great quality, I have a ring that dates back 17 years and it is as gorgeous as the day we bought it in Sioux city Iowa. Recently we have purchased several rings in Sioux falls S.D. I love the rings, but I honestly found the staff to be awful. Very snooty, impatient, and overall not very helpful. I hate to leave such a review for such beautiful jewelry. Sorry. read more

I bought an engagement ring through Riddles and I went to pick it up and paid for through their credit card. 8 months later I get a call saying the employee undercharged me and they ran my credit card without my permission and stuck $1,400 on the card. I'm in the process of taking legal action and would not recommend this place to anyone as I've seen other reviews when others got undercharged and got a call back asking for more money. I purchased a groom ring and when I went to pick it up I met Edith Bunker in the flesh. She disappeared with my ring for 15 minutes in an effort to try and print a receipt for me. Then she lost my ring. I had to leave the store as I felt some rage boiling up. They eventually found my ring but not before ruining my afternoon. read more

I bought my husband's wedding band here...it broke...twice. We also purchased a pair of aquamarine/diamond earrings set in white gold. Not only were they chincy, but even Pawn America didn't want them! (I was curious as to what they really worth...apparently, they weren't worth much). Overpriced, shoddy jewelry. I don't normally write reviews, but I feel as if this one is necessary. As an avid jewelry lover, I frequent many jewelry stores. I have never been to a store with such an accommodation and friendly staff. I have been wanting to buy myself a ring for graduating college, but I have extravagant taste and a small budget. Lindsay, the floor manager, saw me eyeing a beautiful rose gold ring, but the price was out of my budget. She then led me to another rose gold ring that was on special for Christmas. I instantly fell in love with it. The problem was, I am from Omaha. My mom and I were visiting for Christmas and heading back the next morning. Lindsay promised that she could have it sized and cleaned by the time we left. Sure enough, Lindsay called me the next morning to say my ring was ready. I never imagined that a jewelry store could be so prompt, accommodating, and unbelievably friendly. Omaha jewelry stores have officially lost my business, for Riddle's at the Empire Mall is now my go-to store. read more

I purchased my wedding set in Muskogee , Oklahoma a little over 9 years ago and 4 years ago I traded that set in for another ring of greater value. I took it in faithfully to have it checked every 6 months. Well. that store closed in March of 2013 and now the closest store is Bartlesville, about 3 hours drive away. Once I drove up and had my ring cleaned and checked and everything was fine. The Manager, Andrew, said if I can't make it up that I could send it in certified mail and they'll check it and send it back to me. Time slipped by and the next thing I know, it's been a year. So I called the store and got the info and they said to send it certified and include a check for $20 for the cost of returning it. I sent it USPS, paid for certified and insured it for the total cost of $47. Almost 2 weeks later I come home after work and find a package on my front porch. It was my ring! I called the store and Andrew said that he insures his packages and it was supposed to be signed for. I call the UPS Store and it was neither insured or signature requested! I will never purchase from this store again and would not recommend for anyone to either. Needless to say, I will have to make the time to drive the 3 hours to have it checked and cleaned. read more

I bought my wife a gold chain and pendant at Riddle's (Lincoln, NE) which within about six hours the chain broke. Upon returning it to the store the salesman actually told me it wasn't meant to be an "everyday wear" chain because it wasn't heavy enough. Really? The gold chain it was displayed and sold with isn't strong enough ? The salesperson who sold it to us didn't give us any reason to think the chain wasn't compatible with the pendant. So essentially they knowingly sold us a chain that wasn't heavy enough for the pendant. We were very lucky we didn't lose the pendant. read more

Purchased grooms ring over the phone with sales person, and they sent me the wrong ring. I was told the item number online was wrong. Spent a lot of money on an engagement ring with a wrap. Took it in to be put together and they bent it. Took back to be fix, and the second time they put it together the center stone is now crooked! Would not recommend this store, nor would I do business with them again!! read more

I give Riddles ZERO stars!!! I "won" a 'FREE' mans wedding band at a Bridal Fair held at Grand Falls Casino. I called Riddles ordered the ring, was told everything was great and they would call me when the ring came in. I got the call from Jodi who told me the "free" ring was in. I went to Sioux Falls which is over 90 miles from where I live. Got to the store and was told the "free" ring was now going to cost me 75 dollars or I could pick a different one. I asked why was I not told that the ring would cost me 75 dollars when I ordered it...Jodi responded I don't know but we got in trouble for getting a free ring. I was overwelmed expecting to walk in, get the free ring, and walk out. I did walk out and let my fiance pick out a different ring that is supposed to be free and according to Jodi they will mail it to us. Wonder if they will send it postage due!!! Not impressed! Poor customer service! Will NEVER recommend to ANYONE! read more

First of all I would like to say that I am not very impressed with the store located in Hays, Kansas. I bought my engagement ring and band there. I had them sautered together and it was very uneven and had huge space on one side. So I went back in and they re-did it for me and the lady that helped me was so surprised that this actually was given back to me looking like it was. I was super nice. I understand things happen, so no big. Well I have had my ring for a year, April 29, 2012. I had a loose stone, so I made a special trip to get it fixed, paid the shipping and what not. I get it back and the first thing I do is check the stone. The stone was still loose, and so I called. I was told that there is nothing they can do but replace the diamond if it falls out. Well obviously I do not want it falling out but I was just like well okay....Finally I take my ring to get cleaned at a local store and they will not clean it because their are 3 stones loose. I called Riddles again, and they tell me that I can bring it in AGAIN and have it fixed. Then I can pay the 10 dollars to have it shipped to me after I have to pay either for gas to get there, I no longer live in Hays, or I can pay 100 dollars to get it shipped to Hays. I am so sick of dealing with that terrible manager. I will never refer anyone to the Hays store. I have had more problems with them, then I would ever wish on anyone. I drove there without complaints to get it fix the first time and I get it back and it wasn't fixed? Not impressed. Also, Olivia in that store proceeded to tell me that stones come loose all the time. Its very normal for them to come loose every couple months? Well, I guess if I would have been told that in the beginning I would have gone else where. I am very gentle with my ring. I have an office job and I always take it off to clean the house. read more
