I followed the old adage to get at least three bids, and among them was DFW Fence Contractor. From the start, Stacey was right there, explaining the types of wood, the merits of each type, the significance of the pole sizes and spacing, and all the other fine points. I was super impressed, and he handed me a written estimate with notes, details, diagrams, and a full breakdown of all the costs. They were expensive. The other contractors showed up (or not) to see the job. Those who did gave me a written bid (or they did not). As it was, the proposals we're all pretty competitive, but when I started looking at the materials (my experience has shown the fence rails are the first thing to rot, and once rotten, reattaching the slats becomes difficult because as I nail in one slat, three others loosen up), I realized DFW Fence Contractor uses ACTUAL 2x4s instead of MILLED 2x4s, which is very significant and distinctive from any other proposal. The more I looked, the more I decided I didn't want any other company doing this job. Suffice it to say, like so many other reviewers have said, they showed up on time, worked hard, did the job far better than expected, and cleaned up afterward. Everyone on the crew was friendly and easy to talk to, happy to help get it how we wanted it. Really, an excellent company that does an amazing job, FAR exceeding expectations. It's been up a month and still smells as good as it looks!

Gary came when promised, did the most thorough inspection I've ever witnessed and was able to get a quote, along with sketched-in layout and plans of our fence was in-hand, with nothing left up for question. He offered several different options for things we wanted and worked with us. His work was extremely timely, keeping on schedule despite drizzly weather, his workers were so very polite and courteous, and never hesitated to reach out should they have questions. As things wound down, they did an awesome job of cleaning away all yard debris, down to the smallest nails, pieces of boards and screws, and the materials Gary chose for hardware for gates was both sturdy and eye-appealing. Unlike many contractors, if we had questions, we called or sent a text and his response were almost immediate. His estimate for costs was spot-on, and there were no hidden costs or add-ons popping up. They finished when they said they would and it was more than we'd hoped for. I'd never even look elsewhere if or when we had another need or moved in the future. This is the go-to company for Professional standards that we as consumers should expect.

The project I had done started a couple months back when I was researching pricing on having concrete poured from the back to the front yard, with a pad to store my garbage cans and any other items on the side of the house, as well as stone edging that matched the front of the house to go along the perimeter of the sidewalk. I had an estimated range of pricing I would be happy with for the amount of concrete and the overall scope of work to be done. Several contractors came out to give me quotes but Daniel was the only one who showed up at the time we had scheduled, which is very much appreciated. We talked about the scope of work, materials required and the timeframe for getting everything done. The pricing for the project was within the range I had researched before so I decided to go ahead and sign on with Daniel for the job. The concrete pour was a single day job. Daniel and his crew showed up in the morning to get all the prep work done and were very accommodating to some of the minor changes that I wanted to implement to the final design. Once that was done it was time to pour, which went about as smoothly as it could've gone. Finally we got the materials required to have the stonework done for the edging on the sidewalk. The materials were delivered to the house the day before and Daniel was again on time the next day to get the project done. We again talked about a couple minor changes to the final design (part of which was suggested by one of his crew) and this was another single day job. Daniel was able to come by the house and clean up everything from the project before I started getting issues from my lovely HOA. Again, overall Daniel did an amazing job, I'm particular about the work done on my house and he was very accommodating with any changes or issues I had. His work is top notch and high quality, I would rate higher if I could. Thank you again Daniel
