Selecting someone to install a fence is not easy. You talk to neighbors, search the internet and call several companies for an estimate. Some companies don't show up for their appointments; some show up but don't call you back; some install your new fence but do it poorly, including not responding to problems they chose to ignore. And then there is FenceWorks, and Doug Moore. He is none of the above and all of the 5 star ratings from others are legit. His receptionists (Kady and Susan) are pleasant and helpful; he shows up as scheduled (having sent reminders beforehand, with photos of his crew); he is polite and confident; his estimates are clear; and he will provide the addresses of fences he has installed. The members of his install crew are also polite and hard workers -- they go about their duties in a coordinated manner and tirelessly. Our situation was complicated by properties on either side that had nasty old chain link fences, one side entangled with small trees. Doug removed them both - in addition to our old fence - and carted everything away for a modest cost. He and his crew then went about installing the fence we agreed upon and my neighbors were highly impressed, one even asking for an estimate for his own yard. Doug and crew even added a few unexpected finishing touches because, as Doug said, "it was the right thing to do." We could not be more thrilled with the new fence and we still get compliments from the neighbors. I recommend that if you are looking for someone to install a beautiful fence, contact as many companies as you wish, but make sure to include FenceWorks. I am not a Yelp kind of person and have never posted a review. I do have to send many kudos to Doug and Fence Works. They erected a strong solid standing board on board privacy fence on our property a couple years ago. With the Texas sun, we decided to have Fence Works recently apply fresh stain with a sun protection sealer. I have seen videos of other fence companies apply the finish quickly, which I would image does not absorbs well inside a porous material such as wood. With Fence Works, they cleaned the whole fence first, then came back the following day the prep the whole area with tarps to protect our pool, vegetation, landscape and hardscape. They applied the materials very slowly, cautiously and with great care, allowing the finish/sealer to absorb deep inside the wood. Fence Works, Doug and his team, are always very professional. Truthfully, I felt we underpaid them for all the work they have done. Yes, Fence Works is very affordable. Contacted Doug with FenceWorks for a quote on a full fence replacement. Doug came out the very next day and measured what I wanted: An 8' fence in the back yard, tapered down to a 6' fence to bring my side fences forward. He provided me with a full quote at a reasonable price. Upon my request, he also provided me with separate quotes for each side to make it easier to share with my neighbors. Doug and his crew got me on the calendar. They showed up on time and got right to work. They completed 2/3 of the job the first day and finished the rest the next day. Every bit of debris was picked up from my yard, the fence looks tremendous, and the gates that Doug installed are gorgeous. Doug also accepted a change-order on the second day and fit it in seamlessly with the other scope of work. The taper from 8' to 6' fence posts looks like an expert craftsman did the carpentry. For what it's worth, Doug and FenceWorks installed my parents 8' fence several years ago, and it's still standing strong. Quality product, quality customer relations. Zero complaints. read more

I had my gate replaced because my other gate was attached to the fence with some type of hinge that kept falling apart. After having the old gate repaired over and over again, I decided to just replace it with something sturdier. Doug showed up at the exact time he said he would to give me an estimate. I did some research and determined the estimate was fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. The crew, including Doug, showed up the morning of the job and did a great job. Ethan tolerated all of my questions and answered them very kindly and professionally. I now have a gate that opens and closes easily, and I don't have to worry every time I leave the house that the gate would be laying on the ground when I returned home. Doug was very prompt in getting us the quote for the work we wanted to have done. The price was very reasonable and fair for the scope of the job. The office was very honest about the scheduling timeline during this time. Once scheduled, the crew showed up on time and as scheduled. The crew was very professional in their look and their work. They followed protocols around social distancing and safety at all times. They completed the work in one day, on schedule and on budget. We had one minor "issue" that we discovered after the fact, but they responded immediately when we called them about it. They came right back out and fixed the issue within an hour. After several dissatisfying estimates, I tried FenceWorks and was immediately impressed with the professionalism. Doug was timely on his estimates and patient with me as I delayed doing the work last year due to cost and other housing projects. Fence Works installed my new cedar fence in November 2017. I have worked with MANY contractors trying to get upgrades done to my home and these guys had to be the very best I have ever met. Fenceworks did a great job replacing our aged back fence and patiently worked with us while we removed some trees that were growing on the fence line. They were worked around us pulling down limbs and breaking them up for hail away in the same pace they were trying to work, and for that we are very appreciative.
