As luck would have it, a technician from Dion Locksmith was already on-site working on another job and kindly agreed to help me out afterward. While I truly appreciated the locksmith's willingness to assist and found him to be professional and efficient, I was very surprised (and disappointed) to be charged a $98 emergency service fee on top of the labor cost--especially considering I didn't request an urgent dispatch, and he was already there. I understand that companies have policies, but in this case, the policy felt unfair and inflexible. Charging for an "emergency visit" when no extra travel or urgency was involved doesn't sit right. Bottom line: The technician himself was great, but the pricing policy felt excessive and lacked transparency. If you ever find yourself locked out at U-Haul, bring a drill and a flat-head screwdriver--you may not need a locksmith at all.

The disadvantage of that would be two things. One the door keys would not match and I've found that when professionals purchase hardware, they get a better quality than what the big box stores sell. Dion's prices for hardware was lower what i expected . Several weeks later, it wasn't an emergency, it took two visits from a very friendly and professional technician to install all the internal and outside locks and door levers. He adjusted each door so that all of them close like you would expect from new doors including the dead bolts locks. I was a pretty good technician back in the day but sometimes a seasoned professional does a better job than I could. Also the doors look a ton better than before. Thank you Dion's. After several failed attempts to manually open the garage door to get my car out, I went into panic mode. Seeing that Overhead Door Co (the company I have always used) was closed and would not open until Monday morning, I just cut my losses for the weekend. On Saturday, I was out with a friend and happened to pass by Limoge & Sons. After a quick google search I saw they offered 24/7 emergency services. I gave them a call and the dispatcher couldn't have been any nicer, she got my number and told me a technician would be in touch with me. Within minutes a technician, who also couldn't have been nicer, gave me a call and went over all of my options: said someone could absolutely come over the weekend and quoted me an emergency service visit, he also offered for someone to come on Monday and quoted me a regular visit (both options seemed very financially feasible, in my opinion). I opted to wait until Monday-- yet another friendly employee called around 11am to see if it was a good time to come, got here around 11:20, assessed and explained the issue, fixed the problem and was done within 20 minutes.
