Feels like an old tavern without the smell of cigarettes. Big open bar and tables with a JUKE Box. Seriously! Started with the pretzel sticks and the cheese curds. The pretzels come in 4 sticks and they must make them fresh there because they were so soft and painted with butter. Not the box kind. I wanted to take a picture of the curds but they were gone before I could. I got the plain chicken sandwich. I loved the fries, nice and hot and balance of salt. Wanted to save room for all of the desserts. We got the chocolate cake and pumpkin cheesecake. I was expecting a ridiculously large piece but they were kind of small. I will say, the perfect size for one person. We shared them between 4 of us. Will go back when we are in the area. Great pick! You will agree I am pretty sure ;) read more

I got the combo platter and the fried cod was so over cooked it was chewy. The perch was rubbery, soft and tasteless. They charged $3.99 EXTRA for one potato pancake. Both types of fish did not have any flavor. The breaded shrimp was the only edible part of the meal. Other people in our group had the beer battered shrimp which was lacking flavor. My guess is the oil that was used for deep frying fish was EXTREMELY old. If you like quality fish fry, DONT eat here. read more

Rick's Eastside Pub far exceeded my expectations of "bar food" in a small town. I went to school in Whitewater and I never ate here, but when I went to visit my cousin with one of my friends, we went for lunch, and I'm a believer! I ordered the fish fry special, which was blue gill, and I added the homemade potato pancakes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the homemade potato pancakes were legit pancakes, not hash brown patties. They were buttery and quite possibly the best homemade potato pancakes I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of them because I seek them out. We started with their fried cheese curds, and they were also on point, perfectly seasoned and had a decent cheese pull! My friend ordered the bacon cheese burger and my cousin ordered the boneless wings. They enjoyed their food, as well. I would dine there again in a heart beat! read more

This place is pretty cool if you are looking for a good place to have a drink and some food. The service was really good. Our waitress was fantastic. They had a good beer selection and my wife and I enjoyed the beer we got. The appetizers were decent but nothing special. Basic bar food from the fryer. I would recommend the pretzel sticks. Rick's Eastside Pub is a great local hangout. Dart teams, sports fans, and local residents are Rick's biggest fans. I always go to Rick's when I am in town. Sometimes for lunch (love the BLT and the soups!) and sometimes for drinks and appetizers in the evening. (awesome dirty martinis and cheese curds!) Nice big parking lot. There may not always be room at the bar, but there are high-tops and plenty of tables. Wait staff is prompt and friendly. :) read more

The food is really good for when you need to get the steak sandwich it is the best sandwich. The service they are really good and they are working as hard as everyone else to earn their pay. The ambiance is really good you can watch tv and do pull tabs which you can win and lose money on them but that is what makes those fun for me. read more

We were looking for a place to watch the Badger game near the campground we were staying at and yelpers recommended Rick's. This place is easy to miss as you're driving by but it's attached to and behind Acorn Beverage. We got there right at open and there were three other people in the bar. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and they had plenty of TVs and places to sit, both at the bar and in the restaurant. Our service was originally fast and friendly but didn't remain that way while we stayed. The bartender was pretty much on her own, serving both the bar and the restaurant tables. I believe the manager was there but she pretty much just hung around the bar and socialized. She did cash in our pull-tabs once but that was about it. The bloody Mary I ordered was super standard - mix with a little dash of worsteshire, pepper, two olives and a pickle. My fiancé's Moscow mule was made with raspberry vodka but all he could taste was ginger beer. We waited a bit for our second drink. Ended up ordering a Santa Fe Salad which was delicious, lots of fresh ingredients and great portion size for the price. Rick's was clean and everyone there was friendly. The prices were very fair and the food was good. One thing that really bothers me is smelling cigarette smoke on anyone that works with my food. The one cook and the manager took frequent cigarette breaks, and right in the entrance way. We'd be willing to try this place again if we're ever in the area. read more

Ive been going to this location forever. The food is always good. I expect a pub to be a place friends can gather and chat. It deserved one star , the music registered 110 decibels. Our party of 13 complained numerous times about the loud music. The waitress informed me that a bar was loud. But it's a pub!!! Five minutes of exposure to 110 decibels may result in hearing loss. read more

Slow service, almost like they forgot you were here, food order is almost always wrong is some fashion, wrong food, cold, over cooked, missing items. Had a good lunch here while driving through Whitewater on our way home to Illinois. Great service and sandwiches.

Now that my regular lunch spot, Randy's has closed, I was looking for a potential replacement. As the previous poster stated, Rick's appears to have plenty of regulars, but I had no problems with service and it was fun seeing everyone interact with each other. There was a mix of all ages, local business men, flannel wearers and a pair of elderly ladies who started lunch with a shake of the day dice roll. There appears to be a new lunch special every day. Today's was a Cuban Sandwich, which currently seems to be all the rage at local bars; not being a fan of pickles or yellow mustard, I took a pass. The burger was good, and my drink well poured. I haven't decided if if is going to become a regular stop in my lunch rotation, but it shows promise. read more

I hadn't been here for for some years. I went on a Thursday night, and was met by the friendly staff and clientele! My Dad is elderly, and so many helped him to the table. The food was 10 times better than I remembered. Top notch service, and very clean. They had the BEST steak sandwich I ever had. Will be be returning soon. read more

Alex and I had dinner at Ricks Eastside Pub today. We shared a side salad, the eastside burger (burger topped with creamy bleu cheese and sauteed onions) and fries. We also had a couple of beers. The burger (we paid $1 extra to "supersize" to a half-pound) was good and their bleu cheese dressing, which we had on our burger and salad, was excellent.
