I decided at that point I'd give the shop some business and buy an adaptor plug I needed and asked some more questions about that which he answered and even did some online research for me I purchased the plug and was about to walk out the door to the next shop I had already programmed in Maps to visit when I realized I had gotten good service and should see if I could think outside the box a give him some more business, so I started looking at used amps and pulled him away from a desk top Yamaha he was noodling with and give me a demo on the amp I was looking at , he obliged and gave me another demo to compare but I couldn't get the epic sound of the little desktop amp out of my head and it turned out to be more of what I was looking for so had him demo that on guitar and bass and bought it I don't believe there has been a time in my past I've gotten such good service from a kid less then half my age ever!
