After suffering hail damage, we contacted our insurance…read morecompany who told us that if we used one of their 'preferred contractors' the work would be warrantied for 5 years, blah blah blah. We agreed to it and Merritt Restoration came out to inspect our property and submit a bid. Ultimately the damage was extensive so we needed a new roof, new siding and some new gutters. They contacted us and said they could get started on the roof right away, when we asked about the siding and gutters they said that the contractors that did that work were behind by a couple of weeks but they would be back out shortly to get that fixed as well. When they were ripping off the old siding, they had no regard for our house and scratched several of our big picture windows. They ruined the deck rail on a deck that had just been installed a month prior and ripped off the rain sensor that went to our sprinklers. When we contacted them to fix the items, they said they would be right out. That said - that was 5 months ago and not only have the siding and gutters still not been fixed, but the damage they did when fixing the roof isn't fixed yet either! This company is so unethical - its amazing they are even a preferred contractor with the insurance company. And BTW the insurance company isn't of any help in getting these issues resolved, even though they are the ones that recommended these jerks...
