It's been several years since we purchased our home but even now after much reflection, if I were to choose an agent, I'd choose someone else. We did end up buying a house but it was at times challenging and frustrating. It's always hard to know what is supposed to happen when you are a first time buyer. Right from the start I was irritated by the fact that their office had little patience nor courtesy for people of different cultures. The one thing that made us choose them was their knowledge of programs that no one else educated us about. We ended up not needing the special programs, but Rick Fuller's group caught our attention because of their willingness to help and explain this stuff. We met them by chance when visiting a open house in Antioch. But let me summarize everything that went wrong after that and how this should matter to others like us. We had other family who were stakeholders in this purchase, but they do not speak English. During our consultations, our agent as well as the lady that the Fuller team worked with that does the financing made it a complete nightmare and showed little patience for me and our family, not only for me trying to understand everything, but also for me in trying to translate this all in real time back to everyone else in another language. It was not only difficult for me, but there was zero concern from the Fuller team that they cared about everyone involved understanding what we were getting into, particularly with financing. It took numerous demands from me to the finance person to STOP calling me on the fly asking me questions and to make decisions on the spot and requesting her to email instead so I can translate it back to others. She simply would not do it and would call and call me at work until she got the answer she wanted. Eventually, I had to demand to work with someone else. In hindsight I should have revoked my consent with everyone involved. We did not have a great connection with our real estate agent, though I give her kudos for trying. She never seemed to really get what we were in the market for so we did a lot of searching on our own. At one point, we found an amazing house in Vallejo, only to be told (by the same finance lady) that the loan limits in Solano are not the same and we couldn't get the house. Sad thing is, neither our agent nor the finance lady mentioned this after we had looked at numerous houses in Vallejo. Another strike for these guys. Ultimately we found a house on our own and ended up purchasing it. The process went quickly after that, albeit with more of the "we don't care that you have to translate any of this to someone else" drama as long as someone signs the paperwork. There's more to the story, but I will summarize with this...after we purchased our home, with most of it feeling very transactional and not personalized, we never really saw our agent after that and felt exactly that, the transaction was done. One would think that you'd get a nice gift given they made a bunch of money (like $20K+) doing not a whole lot but giving you stress. Well, we received a $20 Amazon Echo in the mail as a gift. It's essentially a cheap clock, which of course, in our culture, means death (and is pretty worthless for the rest of the family that doesn't speak English). Google is free. Just unbelievable. How are you going to assist families with life decisions like this and not attempt to understand anything about them is beyond me. read more

We are the seller and Jesus Ochoa represented the buyer. The Rick Fuller team and Jesus made numerous misstep's in my opinion that caused the loan contingencies not to be met after 3 extensions. They include: Writing an FHA offer beyond our counties limits, Causing a flip and delay to a conventional loan. Jesus, checked the box "fully underwritten pre-approval" yet the buyer was dealing with a broker and not a direct lender, after more than 6 days in underwriting Jesus and the broker asked for another delay. Either fully underwritten pre-approval was an intentional lie or a serious error. This put at risk: Our home purchase and set back our home sale by 2 weeks. The buyer family suffered too. If someone is busy you don't call them back repeatedly back to back like a jealous ex. Grandma isn't dying here, we're talking about seeing an income property. It's just rude. An excuse that it's your policy to call back multiple times in a row isn't justification. No one cares what your policy is. And speaking of calls I never actually got on on the day and time I was scheduled to get one. I wouldn't recommend this realtor to anyone.. they don't seem to respect customers as a policy. This review is very past due but something I have had in mind for a long time. In March of 2015, I decided to sell my home in Antioch to relocate to San Diego. I was not sure who to turn to because my first experience with a realtor was not very good when I purchased. I came across Rick Fuller while talking to people in the community, on Yelp and even on local correspondence. I called Rick and he personally came out to my home for a consultation. Rick was very thorough and came prepared with comps and specifics on my property. From the first consultation, Rick came very prepared and already had a marketing plan in place for my home. He had ideas and was not aggressive in an attempt to gain my business. I felt very comfortable with Rick and decided to continue the process with his firm. Rick followed up with a visit on the specifics of my home. He gave me very detailed information from a marketing strategy, to staging and to appearances of my home. Rick personally followed up and made return trips to ensure the property was at its best and ready to get the attention the home deserved. Rick stuck to the plan and just as he said, we had multiple offers within the first two weeks. Rick even sat with me and went over every offer that came through. Rick vetted each potential buyer and gave me his input. Ultimately, it was my choice (Rick made that clear) who I would sell my home to. My home ended up selling for well over asking price. The new owner was very happy and I too was pleased with the level of service I was provided by Rick Fuller. I would also like to add, Rick Fuller is the broker. That means he is the owner of the his company. Rick could easily stand on the sidelines and let his listing agents do the work that was done on my property. Rick could have easily had one of his agents take care of all of the marketing, photography and other document signings with me. But that is not what happened. I worked with Rick from the first phone call to when I moved out. Rick was there from the beginning to the very end. Rick is very knowledgable in his field and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell. read more

Where do I start?! We had the pleasure of working with both Shelby and Rick--- they are both honest, trustworthy, totally professional, knowledgeable and dependable! We hired Rick to sell our home and Shelby to represent us to buy a home and they went above and beyond, which to them is probably just "doing their job" but to us as the clients, the process can be scary. So when Shelby responded to the voicemail I'd left I blurted out "I'm so glad you called! You have so many great reviews!" Shelby lives up to those five star reviews. Her most valuable traits are her deep expertise of the real estate market in the area, her patience (particularly with first time home buyers), her calmness when we were freaking out (which we did a few times during the process), and her willingness to be realistic (but positive) about our potential home-buying journey, particularly in today's real estate market. She told us if we could be patient she would help us find and close on the home or our dreams. Shelby was 100% correct and we close tomorrow on our new home. I always felt that Shelby was listening to us and our needs, even when we weren't very good at articulating them. She gave excellent, prompt service even if that meant providing comps and data late on a weeknight or getting contracts and contingency releases to us for signature in record time. She is familiar with the different neighborhoods in Pittsburg and Antioch and provided useful background on them that helped us make our choice. And she's a genuinely nice person. I know she's probably got a ton of other clients she's working with but a remark I made in passing about the house we're buying stuck with her.
