Where do I start?! We had the pleasure of working with both Shelby and Rick--- they are both honest, trustworthy, totally professional, knowledgeable and dependable! We hired Rick to sell our home and Shelby to represent us to buy a home and they went above and beyond, which to them is probably just "doing their job" but to us as the clients, the process can be scary. We hit a snag in the process with our initial buyer having to pull out of contract for medical reasons, We were terrified to say the least! We were already in contract to buy another home! But both Rick and Shelby assured us that things would work out, always keeping calm and letting us know they had a plan A, B, C & if needed a plan D! It all came together and we closed on the sell of our home and closed on the purchase of another home all within 24hours from eachother! Who does that!?!? :) Rick never once made us feel alone going through this process and that's what i appreciated the most! always answering our calls and texts- we had conference calls at least once a week, what he likes to call "Monday check-ins" and we totally appreciated that! Shelby always took the time to check in with us, sending us endless listing, once we found our "dream home" she worked relentless and remained cool and calm the whole time! I probably texted Shelby over 500 times during this process and she responded each and every time with confidence and professionalism! Thank you Shelby, you Rock! If you're looking for a professional and open-book realtors- contact Rick and Shelby! You wont be disappointed! read more

It's been several years since we purchased our home but even now after much reflection, if I were to choose an agent, I'd choose someone else. We did end up buying a house but it was at times challenging and frustrating. It's always hard to know what is supposed to happen when you are a first time buyer. Right from the start I was irritated by the fact that their office had little patience nor courtesy for people of different cultures. The one thing that made us choose them was their knowledge of programs that no one else educated us about. We ended up not needing the special programs, but Rick Fuller's group caught our attention because of their willingness to help and explain this stuff. We met them by chance when visiting a open house in Antioch. But let me summarize everything that went wrong after that and how this should matter to others like us. We had other family who were stakeholders in this purchase, but they do not speak English. During our consultations, our agent as well as the lady that the Fuller team worked with that does the financing made it a complete nightmare and showed little patience for me and our family, not only for me trying to understand everything, but also for me in trying to translate this all in real time back to everyone else in another language. It was not only difficult for me, but there was zero concern from the Fuller team that they cared about everyone involved understanding what we were getting into, particularly with financing. It took numerous demands from me to the finance person to STOP calling me on the fly asking me questions and to make decisions on the spot and requesting her to email instead so I can translate it back to others. She simply would not do it and would call and call me at work until she got the answer she wanted. Eventually, I had to demand to work with someone else. In hindsight I should have revoked my consent with everyone involved. We did not have a great connection with our real estate agent, though I give her kudos for trying. She never seemed to really get what we were in the market for so we did a lot of searching on our own. At one point, we found an amazing house in Vallejo, only to be told (by the same finance lady) that the loan limits in Solano are not the same and we couldn't get the house. Sad thing is, neither our agent nor the finance lady mentioned this after we had looked at numerous houses in Vallejo. Another strike for these guys. Ultimately we found a house on our own and ended up purchasing it. The process went quickly after that, albeit with more of the "we don't care that you have to translate any of this to someone else" drama as long as someone signs the paperwork. There's more to the story, but I will summarize with this...after we purchased our home, with most of it feeling very transactional and not personalized, we never really saw our agent after that and felt exactly that, the transaction was done. One would think that you'd get a nice gift given they made a bunch of money (like $20K+) doing not a whole lot but giving you stress. Well, we received a $20 Amazon Echo in the mail as a gift. It's essentially a cheap clock, which of course, in our culture, means death (and is pretty worthless for the rest of the family that doesn't speak English). Google is free. Just unbelievable. How are you going to assist families with life decisions like this and not attempt to understand anything about them is beyond me. read more

We are the seller and Jesus Ochoa represented the buyer. The Rick Fuller team and Jesus made numerous misstep's in my opinion that caused the loan contingencies not to be met after 3 extensions. They include: Writing an FHA offer beyond our counties limits, Causing a flip and delay to a conventional loan. Jesus, checked the box "fully underwritten pre-approval" yet the buyer was dealing with a broker and not a direct lender, after more than 6 days in underwriting Jesus and the broker asked for another delay. Either fully underwritten pre-approval was an intentional lie or a serious error. This put at risk: Our home purchase and set back our home sale by 2 weeks. The buyer family suffered too. Lessons learned: Realtors are sales people some good some not. . If someone is busy you don't call them back repeatedly back to back like a jealous ex. Grandma isn't dying here, we're talking about seeing an income property. It's just rude. An excuse that it's your policy to call back multiple times in a row isn't justification. No one cares what your policy is. And speaking of calls I never actually got on on the day and time I was scheduled to get one. I wouldn't recommend this realtor to anyone.. they don't seem to respect customers as a policy. Our relationship didn't last long which is the only reason I give them two stars. read more

This review is very past due but something I have had in mind for a long time. In March of 2015, I decided to sell my home in Antioch to relocate to San Diego. I was not sure who to turn to because my first experience with a realtor was not very good when I purchased. I came across Rick Fuller while talking to people in the community, on Yelp and even on local correspondence. I called Rick and he personally came out to my home for a consultation. Rick was very thorough and came prepared with comps and specifics on my property. From the first consultation, Rick came very prepared and already had a marketing plan in place for my home. He had ideas and was not aggressive in an attempt to gain my business. I felt very comfortable with Rick and decided to continue the process with his firm. Rick followed up with a visit on the specifics of my home. He gave me very detailed information from a marketing strategy, to staging and to appearances of my home. Rick personally followed up and made return trips to ensure the property was at its best and ready to get the attention the home deserved. Rick stuck to the plan and just as he said, we had multiple offers within the first two weeks. Rick even sat with me and went over every offer that came through. Rick vetted each potential buyer and gave me his input. Ultimately, it was my choice (Rick made that clear) who I would sell my home to. My home ended up selling for well over asking price. The new owner was very happy and I too was pleased with the level of service I was provided by Rick Fuller. I would also like to add, Rick Fuller is the broker. That means he is the owner of the his company. Rick could easily stand on the sidelines and let his listing agents do the work that was done on my property. Rick could have easily had one of his agents take care of all of the marketing, photography and other document signings with me. But that is not what happened. I worked with Rick from the first phone call to when I moved out. Rick was there from the beginning to the very end. Rick is very knowledgable in his field and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell. read more

I reviewed real estate brokers on Yelp and chose Rick Fuller based on the stellar reviews. In particular, Shelby stood out with all the 5 star reviews she received. So when Shelby responded to the voicemail I'd left I blurted out "I'm so glad you called! You have so many great reviews!" Shelby lives up to those five star reviews. Her most valuable traits are her deep expertise of the real estate market in the area, her patience (particularly with first time home buyers), her calmness when we were freaking out (which we did a few times during the process), and her willingness to be realistic (but positive) about our potential home-buying journey, particularly in today's real estate market. She told us if we could be patient she would help us find and close on the home or our dreams. Shelby was 100% correct and we close tomorrow on our new home. I always felt that Shelby was listening to us and our needs, even when we weren't very good at articulating them. She gave excellent, prompt service even if that meant providing comps and data late on a weeknight or getting contracts and contingency releases to us for signature in record time. She is familiar with the different neighborhoods in Pittsburg and Antioch and provided useful background on them that helped us make our choice. And she's a genuinely nice person. I know she's probably got a ton of other clients she's working with but a remark I made in passing about the house we're buying stuck with her. When she called to say our bid was accepted she mentioned that remark. The fact she remembered really touched me - she'd paid attention and remembered something that was actually important to us about the house. Tangentially, we looked at homes marketed by other Rick Fuller agents and the level of professionalism and engagement by those agents was outstanding in comparison to some of the agents we interacted with at other showings. I'd highly recommend Shelby if you're selling your home, not just for buying a home. Call Rick Fuller, ask for Shelby, and you WILL be in good hands. read more

Looking for a rental these days is very overwhelming. A lot of listings have many requirements just to apply or even to just get more information about the listing. And a lot of other applicants applying for the same property. I met Shelby at a open house and right away she made me feel comfortable and explained the process for the current property. She kept in constant communication even with my many emails. And offered to show me more properties if the one I was viewing did not work out. Shelby and the office staff are amazing. They really go above and beyond and will exceed your expectations. read more

Shelby at Rick Fuller Realty is amazing. My husband and I were looking to purchase a home in a short period of time. I explained what we were looking for in a home and the time period in which we needed to close. During the shopping and purchasing process Shelby provided excellent advice and did a wonderful job negotiating with the sellers. She was extremely attentive responding to phone calls, texts, and emails promptly which went a long way with me. We bid on our home 12/26/16 and signed our final docs on 1/12/17. What a Rockstar! Thank you Shelby! read more

Realtors don't get much better than this! Extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, patient, genuine, always available, keeps you posted every step of the way, full of integrity, a leader in the community, an outstanding problem solver, and hands down one of the best negotiators I've worked with. I've had several friends and family work with Rick as well, and they were all as thrilled as I was with him, his team, and the amazing service they provide. When you're searching for a Realtor, you've got to take just 20 minutes to speak with him and you'll see right away why we've worked with him on several ocasionas, why banks use him exclusively to sell their short sales, and why he is the Broker of arguably the best real estate office in Contra Costa County. We just purchased our first home and worked with Shelby at Rick Fuller. She was amazing. She answered all of our many (MANY) questions, gave us great guidance, and made the entire process so easy and stress free. I was amazed at how smooth the process of buying a home could be. I chose to reach out to this office based solely from their online reviews, since we currently lived 350 miles away. I was so glad to find that all of those wonderful reviews were accurate and well deserved. I want to sincerely thank Rick Fuller and his team, especially our realtor, Derek Williams for offering all their clients a free family photo shoot at the beautiful Brownstone Park in Oakley CA. What a wonderful experience getting to meet the team and being able to take top notch pictures because of the thoughtfulness and kindness of this real estate group. They treat people like family and I appreciate them so much. My realtor has been nothing short of a blessing to our family - always available for questions, home opportunities, and tours. My wife and I were recently looking for a home to rent and we had the good fortune to look at a property offered by Rick Fuller. It was perfect and we really wanted to rent it. We aren't really used to working with management agency's as we've both worked directly with landlords in the past. We were a bit nervous about the whole application process, credit checks etc,.. However Rick made it all easier, he was courteous, responsive, communicative and over all very very helpful. We've now been at our new home for a month and it suits us perfectly. We couldn't be happier! We would definitely recommend working with Rick a Fuller in your own home search. read more

Whenever I send my clients to another professional I need to be really careful. If they have a bad experience...it reflects on me and my professional judgment. I have sent several clients to Rick to sell their properties. Without exception they have all reported back a great experience that was professional, caring and very responsive. The clients I send Rick have usually experienced a recent death in the family. Therefore, they need extra care and attention because as we all know, when a loved one dies we aren't usually at the top of our game. Rick understand this and will take the time with his clients to get the job done right with the proper amount of hand holding. He has artfully handled some sticky family situations and kept things moving. When the time comes for me to sell my house and buy a new house I will not hesitate to hire Rick for my family. He has taken care of all of my clients as if they were family and brought great results to each situation. In addition to treating his clients professionally, Rick is very involved in his community in several ways. Whether it's passing out food to the needy or making sure all of the foster children have a great time at camp, Rick (and his family) are very involved in the community. If you want a realtor who will show up on time, deal with you professionally, get you the best result and give back to the community....hire Rick Fuller. read more

I am a fellow Realtor who met Rick Fuller about a year ago through a networking group. I was immediately impressed with both his unflappable demeanor and his exceptional track record. In the Antioch area and surrounding cities, he has amassed a book of wildly satisfied clients that most agents would sell their soul just to have a 10% share. I don't service the Antioch area, so since I met him I've had the opportunity to refer three of my cherished clients to Rick and his team. His performance was nothing short of excellent, as I expected. All of the clients thanked me profusely for the referral. If you have a home to buy or sell in the Antioch area or surrounding cities, look no further. Everyone else will be second rate in comparison. read more

Rick Fuller and his associates have been a blessing to my family. We told him what we were looking for, and he has delivered on two separate purchases. The last home we purchased with him, is now our primary residence, in The city where we wanted to retire. He even found the home of our dreams for the right price, hard to do in The city we moved to. The home previous, which we purchased from him, was an investment property in Antioch. We Cleared a significant profit, and raised the neighborhoods home values at the same time. He has given us intelligent direction, which hasn't steered us wrong yet. We will continue to use his company for any future home purchases. He is a true professional, who pays close attention to everything you say and he is in tune with the market. He offers a Monday morning update to all his clients, and always returns my calls. He also offers to help landlords in vetting their tenants. We needed to find a tenant for our rental property, and we had 1 week to do it. He came through again; with what seems to be the perfect tenant. If your considering who to use for your next home purchase LOOK NO FURTHER. RICK FULLER IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB! read more

Once we were ready she gave us her full attention and was very knowledgeable with all my questions and kept us informed throughout the process of searching and finally the offer and purchase.
