The doctor and staff are fantastic here. Took care of all of our concerns and fit us in last minute.

I can't in good faith recommend this place. Our experience with dr Brown (owner) was terrible. She…read morehas no compassion for humans, or their animal family members. If you can't come up with thousands of dollars for life saving surgery for your animal in UNDER 1.5hrs time she will happily with zero compassion for you or your pet, keep your pet, then give it away. We had literally 1.5 hours to "make a decision" with zero other options. We called everywhere, two separate places gave us her number because she was taking new patients. She has no "overnight facility" meaning we HAD to make a decision under extreme duress and almost no time. We were forced and taken advantage of, our 4-legged family member gone and shown no concern, at all. 1.5 hours isn't even enough time to come up with thousands. Didn't even have time to ask family/friends, or sell securities. We had NO choice. Please, please, please do not take your fur baby/fur babies here. She is cruel and heartless. In her words "She's in this to make money." That is absolutely all she cares about. Those were her words.

She used a needle to extract material from the lumps and showed it to me on a slide noting the oily consistency. She explained what to look for and other information about my animals. I feel that she is honest, knowledgeable, and cares. When I brought my cats in, I mentioned at the end of the appointment that one of my dogs had loose stool and stopped eating the day before. Before I even asked if I should bring them she offered a time later that day to get him seen. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a new vet

The prices seem very fair and they don't seem to upsell on nonsense. I could not be more happier with the care my dogs have received there.

The care of the pets is secondary, and the convenience of the pet owners. The most egregious case was when our dog was diagnosed with a later stage heart murmur, and was starting to have these extended and difficult coughing fits. They wanted us to do a Chest XRay and an echo-cardiogram. We did the XRay, and it showed that he had an enlarged heart. They "prescribed" over the counter cough medicine, which did nothing, and insisted that we then do the echo, which was over $500. I did some on line research and found that there was a very effective heart medicine that specifically helps dogs with enlarged hearts, and helps alleviate the symptoms like coughing with no material side effects. I also called my vet which we use in another location when we're there seasonally, and they said that this medicine was very safe and clearly helpful for a dog with an enlarged heart, and they would not see the need for an echo. I called Atlantic Animal Hospital and told them that, but they refused again. Finally, I called another local vet that we'd never seen before, and they told me the same thing. We brought our dog in, he was prescribed the medicine, and he's now much improved. They also prescribed a prescription cough medicine which is much more powerful than this over the counter stuff, but now we don't even need it because the other medicine is helping so much. It's very clear that the Atlantic Animal Hospital just wanted to sell a $500+ procedure, and if our dog's health suffered as a result, so be it. We now have moved both of our dogs to the other vet. Please avoid this Animal Hospital
