When I lived in Florida, I got hooked on arena football and our Tampa team was really good. They won the championship the last year I lived there and the coach, who happened to happy hour at one of my regular haunts, even let me try on the arena football version of a Superbowl ring. The Richmond Raiders haven't won the big one yet, and they're not the Redskins, but then again season tickets are only $70.

A family of four tickets for 6 home games was approximately $240.00. We got to pick our seats and have a great view of everything that goes on. The games are action packed and we have a great time with the other fans. The football players are so close and the opposing team is right there to talk trash with. The home team is always getting high fives from the fans as they come on and off the field. After the game, you are encouraged to travel onto the field for pictures and autographs with the players and Lady Raiders. These players and Lady Raiders are part of the community and love the support they get from their fans. If you have never been to a game. You need to come, there are 4 games left. It's an exciting and fun night... Come check them out!

All garages (except for the field nearby) close 30 minutes after practice ends. Guests can bring food, beverages (no alcohol) and chairs. It can get incredibly hot on the field. A great atmosphere! Great energy! Big fun!!…read more This was my second year attending the camp, but this year I attended as a VIP guest!!! Talk about comfort...this time around was so much more rewarding. The first year I attended in 2016...it was at least 100 degrees...no shade in sight basically. But there were oscillating fans blowing mist throughout the crowd. But it's a large open field on a hill full of Redskins Fans...but the heat OMG!! There are areas for children to play as well. This year wasn't as packed as the year 2016, but the energy was still present. Well fast forward to this year...air conditioned tent with tables and chairs...free snacks including chips, water, soda and a voucher to use at Papa John's (tent on site). So to get all this... I won a contest Papa John's hosted on FaceBook - so yeah, go like their page now!! We also were warranted an up close and personal view of the coaching staff and the players. We were positioned away from the main crowd. An unforgettable experience that I am so looking forward too next year. Not sure if it will be held here next year, I believe the team is looking at other locations to host the camp. We drove up from Chesapeake...about a 90 minute drive well worth your time especially if you're a fan of the Redskins. We parked in a parking lot ($10 or $20) about a half a mile away from the training facility. Remember to stay hydrated and bring money for parking and snacking. Bring a lawn chair too and perhaps memorabilia and a sharpie to obtain signatures. Small coolers are allowed as well. But if you forget your memorabilia or want something new/else there is a store on site that includes all types of items from pens to jerseys. FREE to attend - FREE to take pictures - Porta Potty rentals (unisex) are present as well as mini sinks to wash your hands. Have fun and enjoy life! HTTR!!

Also I'm not a soccer fan so the chances of my future attendance at a Kickers game are slim to none. I do know some larger-scale events are held here, though. The stadium could definitely use a touch of paint. It's clearly been around for a while. But the field was nice and made for good bocce ball throwing. The stands were fine too. I didn't use the restrooms or buy any concessions. I'd return in the future if a festival or event sounds fun.

This place was one of my first jobs as a teenager. I worked for the University of Richmond sporting events as an usher. As I sat with friends on the "visitor" side of the stadium, I was able see the old sections of the stadium I actually worked. I hope the Kickers games can start to bring in larger crowds to start to fill that side again. It was depressing to see how old the "home" section looked. Staff at the stadium were friendly and helped us make sure we were in the correct area for seating. Shortly after taking our seats, we were upgraded to VIP seats thanks to Lauren's social media talents! We also got other freebies from Chick Fila and won many certificates during the frisbee toss at halftime. It was a wonderful Saturday night spent with great people enjoying one of the few professional sports Richmond VA has to offer.

His skill sets were better from the recreational league he played in. I have seen his and other kids that I recognize from playing before skill sets decline. They have scrimmage some during the year and I can go watch them. There is no coaching at all during the game. The "coach" that is there is little more than a ref and a timekeeper. There is no team concept and no motivation for the kids to play well against each other. My daughter says that this fairly expensive. Definitely not worth the money. I hope she doesn't put the younger child in this program because it is bad. Also parents are not allowed to coach from the sidelines. They have nice facilities. Should have put that money into more coachs and more training for their coachs. My suggestion is stay away from this program.

When I learned of the mistake, I immediately informed them but was told it was too late to place him on an appropriately aged team because they were full and there was nothing that could be done. No apology was offered and because it took them so long to assign teams and notify parents, it was too late to enroll him in another program. It's a shame because he really did enjoy his previous seasons with RU Red, but we would prefer to support a program that actually follows through with commitments and communicates more effectively.

I gotta tell you, it was a trip for my hubby and I to go out with our grown kids and their spouses. We had a blast! The Hof was our last stop... parking in Scott's Addition was a pain, but we trudged thru the rain and several puddles to get in! And I'm glad we did because this place was hopping. We are old so we didn't get carded, haha! The doorman was like, yeah, your grey hair is your I.D.! We did see a few other silver heads at the bar, but mostly they cater to the 25-35 year old crowd. The music was great! If people weren't dancing in the aisles, they were "chair dancing" in the booths and at the bar. Football was on the tv, for the sports fans! At one point my daughter started a Conga line and a bunch of people joined in and we danced around the whole bar... it was a hoot! The DJ kept the songs coming, one tune melded into the next... so many 80's and 90's throwbacks! It was a good time! For drinks, several of us got the Truly hard seltzers and they were fruity and refreshing, while others got beer and cocktails. The bar tenders were in their A game. We didn't get a chance to check out the rooftop view due to the rain, so that's in the agenda next time we get a wild hair! Maybe we will try some food next time too! Lol! My hubby and I haven't been bar hopping for years, we don't really frequent the bar scene... but we felt like kids again tonight and the Hof was a fun place to top off the night!
