While spending the wknd in Richmond found this spot. We went on a Thursday night. Amazing setup and the pricing can't be beat! $10 all you can play. There were only about 4 games not working which was nothing compared to what was working. The place is clean - games, bar, and restrooms and service was great. The bartender was attentive and helpful. We ordered a beer flight with 2 ciders 1 ale and 1 sour. The sour #41 Dewey secret machine - berry bounty was soooo good! If you're not sure about sours but like ciders I highly recommend. The food was definitely made to order. The chicken sandwich by itself didn't have much flavor (seasoning) so the sauce helps and the slaw actually compliments it well. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

A nice little variety of games to keep you occupied. A little disappointed at the amount of "hands on" games (throwing balls, driving/racing games, shooting games), mostly just old arcade games and pinball. Cheap beer and food make for a fun time!

    Nice bar!

I'm a sucker for barcades, and Richmond Draftcade is a worthy addition to my list of favorites! Came here with two friends from out of town to check the place out. They have plenty of nearby parking, and it's right in short pump town center so you still have access to all the other shops nearby without having to repark. The price is $10 for unlimited arcade time, which I feel is quite fair if you enjoy games a lot and plan to be there for an hour or more (which we were). The game selection is extensive, with all the classics and a ton of games I had never seen or heard of before. While most of the pinball machines were out of order, the ones that did work were quite fun. Skeeball and basketball were fun as well. We had drinks after our gaming and they have an impressive selection of local beers. We did not eat here, though the menu did look like fun. As you might expect, the place is on the loud side, so if you're bringing someone there you want to get to know better, conversation might be challenging. My friends and I had a great time here and I will definitely come back again soon. Overall: 4.5 stars ---- Pros: - $10 is quite fair for unlimited gaming. - Game selection is impressive, especially if you're into hard-to-find ones. - Draft selection at the bar is extensive and sure to please any palate. - Tons of easy parking and very close to everything else Short Pump Town Center has to offer. Cons: - All arcades have the same two issues: noise levels and broken machines. Thankfully, neither are too terribly bad here.

The nostalgia is real for this one, The staff, the games, the drinks, the aesthetic. I would recommend this place for parties or after work vibes.

The bartender is very rude. There was only 1-2 people ordering and I asked to put in my order, and the bartender straight up ignored me.

We had a blast as a family, but this place would be great for a date night. $10 dollars gets you unlimited arcade play, From what I understand the upstairs provides tables for other multiplayer games like Dungeons and Dragons and etc. The location is central to multiple restaurants and bars making walking to and from easy. Parking is street only but we did not find issue with finding a close spot.

Ever since Circuit Arcade Bar closed, you have to carefully weigh your options: if you want drinks/food with your games, you have to do either Dave & Busters or Richmond Draftcade. If you want kids/ticket games, only Dave & Busters. If you want retro games, only Draftcade and DawnStar. And if you love rhythm games and old school light gun shooters... well, DawnStar is the only spot around! DawnStar is a video game shop up front, a card-game event venue upstairs, and an eclectic arcade in back. Their video game shop has a great selection, though like most game shops you aren't going to find better prices here than you would online. The arcade on the other hand is always worth a visit: two DDR cabinets, several rare light gun games, advanced racing sims, a ton of Japanese imports, and other hard-to-find rarities await you here. I have been a huge DDR fan since 2003 and relish any chance I get to keep my dancing muscles strong. Pricing for the arcade is one price for all-day: $15 Saturdays, $10 every other day. Thankfully those prices don't go up on holidays, so this is a great spot to hit on a weekday holiday! The staff here are very nice and very involved with the business: they regularly host video game and card game tournaments, post on social media daily, and have their own Discord if you want to keep up with their happenings on a more intimate level. I am very grateful that DawnStar exists and hope it sticks around for the long term! Overall: 5.0 stars --- Pros: - Fantastic arcade with hard to find games (especially rhythm games). - Well-stocked game shop with plenty of games and accessories, plus more. - Cool event venue with a strong community. - Fantastic staff who strive to make this a welcoming place for all. Cons: - $15 is understandable for Saturdays to keep volume a bit lower, though I generally stick to weekdays whenever I can to get the $10 pricing.

For their arcade, you have to use a card that you buy credits on to. In our opinion, the games were a little expensive. I think it's more directed towards parents who want to drink and offload their kids in this area, but for those of us already spending a good amount on drinks, the price on the games kinda sucks. We're used to a cover for all you can play or something a little more affordable. They do have a lot of great, newer games. It definitely kept us entertained for a while. They also had a great variety. It was pretty empty when we got there a little after lunch, but by 4pm or so it started raining and they were PACKED. The drinks were good, nothing special. A couple draft cocktails that tasted like you would expect. Some good beer options. It's a great spot in the area, huge bar area that can fit a lot of people and a really great patio.

They also have mini golf, an arcade, karaoke, pool tables, another bar area, and even a DJ playing music, which really helps create a fun atmosphere. There's honestly a lot to do here for groups, couples, or just a night out with friends. The atmosphere was definitely a vibe. The entire place felt very safe, clean, and well maintained. The staff was amazing and very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and sweet throughout the night. We didn't get to try every attraction besides bowling. Unfortunately, I'm personally not the biggest fan of string bowling, but it was still a fun experience overall. For food, we had a smash burger and fries. The burger was really good and tender, and the fries were great too. The drinks were surprisingly very cheap, which was honestly amazing considering how much entertainment they offer. If the service at the park was better this would definitely be a five star review just for the mini golf.

I've visited twice within the past month -- once on a chilly weekend day to explore all the sights, and again this past weekend for Neon Night. The museum itself is pretty dense with exhibits. The Power of Poison exhibit was very well thought out and loaded with details and visuals. You could easily spend an hour in there. I enjoyed the Boost exhibit the most, as it was hands on. I don't have kids, so I can't speak for the kids-focused activities, but I did enjoy the reptile room quite a bit too -- especially the "search" for certain creatures in their tanks. Neon Night was well done and attended by seemingly half of the city. I kept running into people I knew. I'd definitely attend one of their after-hours events again in the future. At $25, admission was reasonable. Drinks were also cheap. A cup of wine was just shy of $7. I was shocked that the dome show was narrated, as I was expecting it to be more of a movie vibe.
