I'm sad that it's taken this long for us to visit this new facility…read more My in-laws moved back to Albion a little more than 4 years ago, so we'd watched this facility be built on our biannual trips. We'd heard great things from my mother-in-law, but never really thought more about it until she mentioned that they now have a collection of birds eggs and nests (Jimmy's family hobby is birdwatching). We stopped in on the Friday after Thanksgiving, needing to get out of the house. The space is clean and new, bright, and well-lit. The collection seems pretty impressive to me for a small town library. There's a whole children's room, with picture books, juvenile fiction, YA fiction, DVD's and more. They've got crayons and craft tables. They've got a couple of bins full of costumes. They have either white boards or lego boards on the side of each set of shelves, providing additional creative space. They've got a rug with teepee and stools for story time. There are fliers advertising several community activities - craft nights, bedtime stories (come in your pajamas), and even a visit from Santa. We will definitely be back on our future visits!

A beautiful facility for all ages. Not meant to be a workout gym, but a recreation facility that…read moreincludes courts for basketball / pickle ball or anything else that's played on a floor. This is surrounded by a second floor track of 1/10 mile with separate lanes of walking and running. There's many community rooms for all sorts of classes offered thru the Chili website and a complete senior center. The new library is outstanding and shares the same building. Unfortunately, there is only one entrance for all the areas. Thus, in busy times, the parking spots close to the door fill up fast and it should be interesting to see seniors having to walk a distance to get out of the snow when winter sets in. There are emergency exits on the side which could be adapted as secondary entrances directly into the senior center under adverse conditions.

let me just say the facility is very nice but half there are so many times where the whole center…read moreis closed. I'm sorry but you shouldn't be closing the entire community center for, it's supposed to be open to the publi. The worst thing if you're looking to shoot some hoops, we'll forget about that it's closed almost every day for pickleball or some other stuff. again I'm sorry but the whole court should not be closed off to people just wanting to shoot hope everyday. I came from Irondequoit where there gym was open almost everyday, even when they had events they don't close an ENTIRE, huge double gym, they just say "hey stick to the far right corner hoop" "sure no problem" this is absurd, I pay taxes and can't even do something I love because it's closed 99.9999% of the time. Like I said you don't need to close off the entire gym just tell people to keep it to one particular hoop, I don't need the whole gym, I understand there are events and such but you do not need to close an entire gym for those. Regretting moving here but my lease is up in the summer and hopefully I'll be moving elsewhere and checking with the community center first. Irondequoit was far better I could go there everyday and shoot, sure sometimes they would say "hey come back at 7:00" or most of the time "just stick to whatever hoop they're not using" and I would always ask with the people playing if it was okay. The worst part is there isn't even any other courts near hear. Hopefully the director sees this and can change some things.
