Unfortunately, there is only one entrance for all the areas. Thus, in busy times, the parking spots close to the door fill up fast and it should be interesting to see seniors having to walk a distance to get out of the snow when winter sets in. There are emergency exits on the side which could be adapted as secondary entrances directly into the senior center under adverse conditions.

I came from Irondequoit where there gym was open almost everyday, even when they had events they don't close an ENTIRE, huge double gym, they just say "hey stick to the far right corner hoop" "sure no problem" this is absurd, I pay taxes and can't even do something I love because it's closed 99.9999% of the time. Like I said you don't need to close off the entire gym just tell people to keep it to one particular hoop, I don't need the whole gym, I understand there are events and such but you do not need to close an entire gym for those. Regretting moving here but my lease is up in the summer and hopefully I'll be moving elsewhere and checking with the community center first. Irondequoit was far better I could go there everyday and shoot, sure sometimes they would say "hey come back at 7:00" or most of the time "just stick to whatever hoop they're not using" and I would always ask with the people playing if it was okay. The worst part is there isn't even any other courts near hear. Hopefully the director sees this and can change some things.

You come in the main door, Straight, Make a right through the doors, Go all the way down the hall, You wait for security to ask which shot your here for, then follow his instructions. The first shot is a short , left away. A guy comes out, checks your paperwork (so did security),then has u wait til ppl are moving inside. I was taken very fast. They'll call you to a table, take your photo ID, check on the computer to see if you're good to go. Then she / he just jabs the needle ,but u don't feel a thing. Then you go to another seat to wait to make your 2nd appointment. I did that quick & easy. Then, they advise you to stick around for at least 15 minutes , just in case you have some kind of reaction. This was quick, easy & painless . Time for me to go home. =) Oh, all the medical workers and other employees are alllll super nice. You need that for something like this, in case you have a nervous person. These ppl can calm you .

Pro tip: do NOT park your car at the neighbouring seemingly empty lot- it belongs to ford, and they are NOT friendly neighbours. Your car will get towed without a warning. This community centre is spacious and clean. Everything is easy to find. The gym is gigantic and stretches far beyond my eyes. The pool is 50m, worked by beautiful and hardworking lifeguards (lol just kidding, shameless plug). Both areas have plenty of seating for viewers. The hallways are large and extensive, so don't be afraid to wander around. There's also a fitness centre overlooking the pool. It's kind of small and lame but I rarely see it packed, so I guess it'd be a good idea. It's not great for lifting, but it has a lot of equipment for such a small gym. The regulars are usually older adults, trying to get some exercise in.

The parking and accessibility of it was terrible though, since the walk from the parking lot to the building is far and I can definitely imagine that being inconvenient for some people or even just during the winter season with all the snow and slush. Reviewing towns and cities seems a little weird. Making suggestions for where to go and what to do…read moreseems less weird, so here's my recommendations for locals and visitors alike. You can enjoy good food year round. Mark's and Wilson's Pizza serve great pizza and wings. China King has better takeout than similar places, including those in other states. Cafora's serves Italian food and local wines. Bill's is a solid diner. I recommend the fish fry when it's in season. Sweet Source Bakeshop has amazing baked goods, especially cinnamon rolls. Gordy's has tasty fresh bread. You can also head north to Olcott for seafood at Mariner's Landing, or pub food at the Lighthouse Grill. The best time to visit Olcott is from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There's a charming little carousel park with 25 cent rides. The beach conditions are as variable as any other in WNY. Krull Park has a great playground and splash pad. The Lakeview Village Shoppes has a variety of shops selling everything from gifts and candy to crystals and antiques. They host a lot of events, including trick-or-treating before the season ends in the fall. Bye's Popcorn is a mainstay. The newly renovated Ye Olde Cabin is a great venue for visiting Santa in the winter, but it's only a one day event so you'll want to watch for announcements and plan accordingly. Newfane and Olcott are right in the middle of the Niagara Wine Trail. Chateau Niagara and Black Willow Winery are excellent. Schultz is nearby, as well, albeit in a different town. It's a small town but worth visiting, especially in the summer.

This review is for anyone coming here to get their COVID vaccine…read more It's is very organized and structured here! Which I love! Police have blocked off a section for us to park. Attendants will guide you. You will enter the building and immediately get your temp checked and answer a couple standard COVID questions. Next, you'll approach an area to check in with your name. They will send you over to the next section where they'll confirm your information and give you info about the vaccine you're receiving. Now, you'll go to another section to get your vaccine. One nurse will be at a laptop and ask you a couple of questions, while another nurse administers the vaccine. They'll give it to you in the less dominant arm. I'm right handed so they gave it to me in the left arm. The feeling for me was similar to a flu shot where its sort of like a punch to the arm and some lingering pain afterwards which is just more annoying than anything. Lastly, you'll be sent to a waiting area to wait 15 mins. There is a digital clock on the wall. Social distancing was kept the whole time. Great job!
