Miss Pat and Scott were very welcoming; they even escorted us to our site each day and made sure our RVs were level. Great people, nice quiet campground. And they welcomed my 3 dogs! Steve even went and got two boards to make my unit completely level and said to take them with me for future use. We will definitely be back.

Are you kidding me?…read more 15 minutes north of Indy, right off I69. Nature! Water! Camping! Cabins! Fishing! Kayaking! Close to Deer Creek Music Center (or whatever they call it now?) But really..... the attraction is the ownership and employees. These folks actually CARE about your stay and your experience! (Such a rare commodity these days!) Can't recommend this place enough! I highly suggest a long weekend.. ("StayCation") if you are local. And if you are in town for a concert, sporting event or just a visit..... you would be hard pressed to find a better option! If you haven't been here the mounds are an archeological site, and that this site and was noticed…read moreby outsiders/settlers and survived is also amazing. The nature center has a great mural of the mounds, their preservation, and Mounds before it became Mounds State Park. The obligatory bird/wildlife viewing room, like Turkey Run and Brown County State Park, is here, when you finally peel yourself away from that peaceful space, visit the Bronnenberg House next door to the nature center. You can only go in to the Bronnenberg home on the weekends, but no one bugged us for peeking in the windows of the closed building. There is sadly no more pool, and hasn't been for a couple decades, but you can get your feet wet in the shallows of the White River. We poked around for mussel shells and man-made fossils, river-erroded glass, tiles, and brick bits. Plenty of hiking trails and bike-able spots in the park, a minimal bike trail in the from Bronnenberg house the group of mounds, but the roads are pretty flat around the park if you need a good ride. Friendly enough staff at the gate and campground gate, and one ranger took the time to say hi to us after noticing our way out of state plates. Fellow campers were quiet enough, making this a good getaway.

The campsites are very affordable with clean restrooms and secluded location. There is paddle boating, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. There are four playgrounds for the kids and also a nice beach area with picnic tables to spend a day in the sun and lake. We also love the horseback stables! It's a tad pricy - $25 a person for 1 hour or $60 a person for 3 hours ( def recommend the 3 hour trek, it offers way more of an option to gallop gently and see what the horse can offer beyond a slow walk. ) While I highly recommend Erica as a guide - she was friendly but didn't interfere with our personalized experience of riding - I would frown if Courtney was our guide again. She advised she was a volunteer but she rode behind us very closely and kept barking orders, whistling, talking, singing, and giving more orders rather than just letting us enjoy our ride. Overall a great place to visit for just a day or even a week of camping!

This campground was such a hidden gem…read more We got there about 9P and the lady that manages the pool actually offered to open up the pool and turn on the water for the slides (which were amazing) for our boys! This was the highlight of their week! Tim was helpful too since this was our first time renting an RV. Such a wonderful evening! We will be back!!!

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. This park is awesome. You should definitely check it out.

To the service clowns at Poor farmers,…read more I would like to thank you for your poor service you did to our camper but I can't but I would like to remind you of the return call we got from the so called manager. We are adults here and know that a new camper does not get damaged all by itself! We trusted you to do a job professionally and you failed miserably. Yes we are the Bauser's that had the new warranty fridge work done at your so called place of business. Did I say NEW WARRANTY WORK??? Meaning new camper!!! Us as adults are telling you that your service people messes up our camper inside wall from the fridge installation and must I remind you we are the customer! And you call us and tell us your people done nothing and there is nothing you can do about it??? Us being the customer and knowing we have a new product with no problems with our camper when we let you have it to work on it an now we have damaged walls done by your people. Do you understand this now or do I need to say it again? Now I do know personally some others that have had their campers also messed up by your place of business. Does this sound like a rerun to you also hearing if from others who trusted you??? That means that your track record is not real good on messing up campers at your business. I can also send a copy of email to corp Coachman and let them know what kind of business you are running here along with one to the BBB plus plaster a copy on facebook and Yelp. If you don't see us as honest customers of yours I promise you the next person you will hear from will be from the BBB and Coachman. This is a real shame to have to go this way to try and get through to you. I'm also sending a copy of this to some emails of mine so to make forwarding easy to all concerned party's in this. I really don't know why I'm even trying to give you a chance to make this right except this is part of the process. Our experience was very disappointing…read more The staff was rude, and the restrooms were consistently dirty. Throughout the campground, kids were riding electric scooters, and people were driving golf carts recklessly with little regard for others. Ironically, the posted 5 mph speed limit didn't seem to apply to the maintenance staff, who were often driving much faster. There are alot of run down seasonal campsites that gives this place the vibe of a run down trailer park. The biggest issue was the hidden fees and reservation process. The website allows you to select and pay for a specific campsite, giving the impression that it's reserved. However, what they don't tell you is that, if you don't pay an additional $25 "site lock" fee (which was not clearly disclosed during booking), another guest who is willing to pay that fee can take the site you selected. I've never encountered a campground that operates this way, and it's incredibly misleading. Between the poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, unsafe behavior throughout the campground, and unexpected fees, I would not recommend staying here.
