My daughter recommended this. I We came in middle of the week. It was very laid back. We swam in the quarry & tuned down the River right beside our camp site. Lots people from Indy area come here. Having golf cart would be nice & they do rent them. We always bring our own drinking water & only use site water for showers flushing. (Some bad reviews complained about water) Kids 3rd grade and shouldn't have any trouble swimming in quarry, It's loaded with inflatable to climb. Water is very calm to tube. I was concerned due to the negative reviews but we had a great stay. We spent 4 nights on a river site at the campground. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The site was large. The bathroom was the nicest campground bathroom I've ever seen. The quarry is a blast. My kids liked the playground. It was a great time. We will be back again some time. read more

The manager's boyfriend cat called a group of 15 year-old girls and then when confronted by 15-year-old boys the's boyfriend choked one of the 15-year-old boys. This place is super unprofessional. The was driving around in a golf cart drinking beer, not de-escalating the situation instead she was escalating everything very unprofessional. I do not recommend for any family environment, especially young teenage girls. read more

For camping, the sites are off the street and are away from road noise. And they offer sites directly ON the Flat Rock river. Most of the campers stay in RVs, but for tent campers without walls as sound barriers, be prepared for unregulated sites (e.g. multiple tents/cars at a site, golf carts, late night noise, etc). There's always a lot of activity at Hidden Paradise, and many of the sites are reserved by full-timers. The grounds play host to a variety of activities, including live music, karaoke, chili cook-offs, fishing derbies, campsite decorating contests, and more. The facilities include a well-stocked camp store, bathrooms and showers (though limited for the amount of campsites), snack shack, playground and picnic area. Have patience, as it's a very popular destination and the workers are typically doing the jobs of many. read more

Campsites are nice, water is rusty. Price is around the normal amount for a private campground. However, with it being private the showers/ bathhouses should be cleaned more regularly and have a better hot water system. The site you book you aren't guaranteed unless you pay extra to lock your site # in. Silly thing for sure. I don't like they open the lake up to the public it made for an extremely over packed lake that you have to pay extra to use. The inflatables should be in better shape if you are paying to use them and limit how many people you allow in. read more

I highly recommend staying here. We stayed this past weekend and loved it. Was skeptical because some of the bad reviews but apparently they must not travel much cause a lot of places charge for wood, extra things like float tubes, swimming. That why the place is really nice and they take excellent care of it. The place is beautiful and the fishing was great. Our camp neighbors were all pretty quiet and respectful when it got later in the night. Could not say enough to the staff there how nice and hospitable they were would rate this place a solid plus for me. Will definitely be back. read more

I stayed here for a night with my husband and a friend of ours as we traveled across a few states in our RV. Located several miles off the highway, and down the backroads of a little Indiana town (that wasn't entirely RV friendly), Hidden Paradise campground was indeed a hidden paradise. It was a dreary, raining evening.... but that didn't deter us from exploring the grounds a bit and enjoying some BBQ with beer. The campground itself is absolutely delightful. It's not the flattest, cleanest, most modern place to be, but has tons or character and fun finds.... Including a lake tucked in the trees and cliffs with a giant inflatable to jump onto. My jaw dropped when I saw it. So awesome. Somewhere in the woods is also a fenced off area for deer, perhaps to keep safe from predators? The campground also has plenty of grassy area to run around, picnic shelters, a basketball court, playground, and multiple RV sites. Some of the pull-through sites are a bit too close for me (our slide out felt like it was imposing on our neighbor's 'front yard') but fortunately there were only a handful of people when we stayed. There's also a couple shower/bathroom buildings (private, full bathrooms!) available, which was really nice. The shower water smelled fishy, but such is the camping life. At least it was hot! Ahhh. We felt comfortable there. I'm glad we stayed the night. read more

we will never be back to this campground it is managed by an 8 foot old woman and guarded by her security. We called him the Gestapo. It was either two middle-aged men that had something to prove or a bunch of young kids, cursing at people and talking down to them like they've never been in the situation it could be a wonderful place to stay. The campground is beautiful. The quarry is great to swimming but don't forget it is not included in your camping price it's another $10 per person for your stay, and on top of that the deck and the stairs to get to the quarry are very unsafe and slick. Site was very small for 55$ a night, plus I was charged 30$ fee for a credit card terminal payment!! Didnt even tell me! Campers still pay for swimming per person! Staff was rude, all of them! Security guy is a little jerk and has a need to over compensate! And to top it all off there is a road with tire spike strips!! So it you go the wrong way, which is super easy because there are no rode signs, you will flatten every tire you have! Thats how much they care about their campers! I would not stay here for free! Today my friend, her family, myself and my family went to enjoy our only day off. We had never been so we were new to the rules. We were addressed 5 separate times about things we were doing wrong, 4/5 time the workers were very rude and spoke to us as if were we toddlers and should have known better, at no point were none of us rude or disrespectful but they were for no reason at all. What topped the icing on the cake was when we were leaving a gentleman addressed my friends husband and told him he was to wear his life vest the entire time, my friend's husband was confused because he never took it off and told the man this but then man did not believe him and continued to speak to him as if he was a lying little child. He said he watched him jump without on on. I was confused but realized that he was most definitely not lying because it was actually my son who took his vest off and jumped. My friends husband handled it very well for a grown man standing there telling him he was lying and he wasn't. I believe if his skin color was the same as the employee the conversation would have went differently. Oh and I told my son it was ok to jump without a vest because all the other kids were so I didn't think it would be a problem. We spent $140 for 2 hrs. We did enjoy ourselves but we will not be going back, the experience was definitely ruined. This place needs to hire better people because no one deserves to be treated like this. Worst place ever. The old lady that drives the longer golf was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Our camp site flooded and they acted like they could care less. The old lady said, well that sucks. No what sucks is the fact that you knew that there was a possibility that this area could flood and you rented anyway. You knew that it had happened recently but didn't mention that to us. Everything I brought ended up wet, and I spent the next day drying everything instead of enjoying my camping trip. The office didn't offer the money back on the site and just acted like they didn't care. The staff never checked on any of the campers until tents and campers were in water. There were several sites that flooded and there were people sleeping in their tents and they never came over to them to warn them about the water rising. I will NEVER come back to this place and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Worst camping trip ever!!! read more

Family, friends, and I came here for Memorial Day. We came right before it got busy and left after everyone else had left. They do have WiFi, but when there is a lot of people on the server, it can be very hard. If you don't get good cell service, you may have some spotty trouble, but that's to be expected at a campground. They had showers and bathrooms, which are nice, but could use a bit of a makeover. I really liked that they had a little store you could buy from like candy and snacks, your average campground stuff, stuff for swimming. You can also rent kayaks and canoe to go down river, and the price is just right! I was surprised that it was so cheap to rent. They also have life jackets if you want one. The quarry is pretty cool. The long term resident were nice as well. Will go back, but the camp could use a little makeover to bring more traction. read more

My boyfriend and I drove 45mins to come here and spend the day at the waterpark. We waited in line at the office with our $30 ($15 each from what the website said) just for us to be 2nd in line and hear the people in front of us being charged $20 per person. When the lady asked why it was $20 when the website said $15, the employee said "yea we've been working to change that". I feel as though the website is giving out false information and we expected to pay $30 when we were actually going to be charged $40. It's not about the extra $10, it's the fact that we were under the impression that we only needed $30 and we brought $30 cash. I was very excited to come but we left. read more

Only got to stay here for a night. Wish we could stay longer; got a creekside site. Spacious sites with fire pit and picnic table. Awesome amenities, plenty to do and fair priced. Only complaint was you could not bring your own firewood and theirs in the gift shop was overpriced and way to green to burn. read more

The swimming quarry was neat and the camp ground was clean however it was more suitable for RV camping. Our tents looked out of place and swallowed up amongst all the RVs. I am lowering the rate of this place and felt I needed to review it because of how ridiculous the pricing was. We had a group of 10. We bought 2 campsites (price per night is not on website). They were maybe $25 a piece for 4 adults, for one night. First, why would a campsite only cover 2 adults when families with big tents can easily have 6? Anyways, that meant that the extra 6 people in our group had to pay $14 each ($84) for ONE night. Then we also had to pay to swim. When you add it all up, we could've stayed in a hotel for that price. We ended up paying hundreds to camp and swim in one weekend. The lady at the front desk was very rude to us when she found out how many people were in our group. It's camping!! You bring big groups. Two campsites was MORE than enough rough. The price was ridiculous. Firewood also cost $6 a bundle and you weren't allowed to bring your own firewood. read more

4 stars because we didn't get to stay long to view everything, but WILL be back to do so! They were more than welcoming on our "unannounced" 6 p.m. request for an overnight rest. Invited us to take part in their chili cook-off, corn hole contest and Kareoke. Beautiful tree covered sites, large open area for kids on the playground with a large covered shelter and nice long pull-throughs. The water activities area is beautiful from the first time campers we met that evening! Had everything you would want, even just for the night! They really are hidden, just follow Google though, and their entrance sign is bit faded, but we were glad to have taken a detour off the highway to find this "hidden" gem! read more

We really enjoy this place, the staff is friendly, they take good care of the campground. I would recommend for a nice weekend camping trip. I've been here only to dive, so I can't rate on the campground itself. Upon checking in, the gentleman on the first day and the woman on the second day were both extremely nice. The whole area is very clean and looks well maintained. There is a brand new diving dock which accomdates many divers. I would return again to dive and explore along the quarry wall. read more

Place is a joke. Camped here for the season last year. If you are looking quiet place to spend with the family this definitely is not the place. If you are looking for a place to party and get loud this is definitely for you. There is 0% security they tell you they don't like confrontation so they let people do what they want. There no activities for the family. You can swim in the quarry if you want to pay their outrageous price or play basketball in their run down basketball court. Bathrooms are nasty they are unisex. I am on oxygen but get along pretty well and I'm adventurous. Went to Hidden Paradise to swim at the quarry!! Wow! Had a blast. It's a doozy of a walk up and down the steps, but totally worth it! Nice cool, clean water, they provide plenty of life jackets for all ages or you can bring your own! I didn't make it out to the floating trampoline or other activities but they are great! Met one of the owners and family - such wonderful people! The entire atmosphere at this place was everything you could ask for. Everyone was smiling, kind and helpful!! Highly recommend! We viewed the camp sights and RV parking along with the cabins. Oh we will be back and spending the night!! Thank you!! read more
