The private patio with a grill and fire pit had a view of the water. It was also impeccably clean. Being able to rent a golf cart made traveling around the resort with two kids a breeze. From the beach to the multiple playgrounds, we were able to get anywhere we needed. There are so many amenities as well. The spring fed lake is gorgeous. There is a kids swimming area and a deeper adult swimming area with a swimming mat and a floating dock. If lake swimming isn't for you, there is also a heated pool. We also used the Wibit (floating obstacle course), kayaks, and paddle boats. All the rentals were reasonably priced and were great additions to our stay. The camp store and cafe are great as well. We were able to grab pizza and ice cream during our stay. We will definitely be back.

Depending on how people park the sites can be a little tough to pack into.. 3. There are sooooooo many golf carts! And the golf cart parade at sun down, it was over the top. The parade seemed to be made out of season campers that all know one another. 4. The older teenage element, that seemed to be seasonal campers, whoa! The mouthes one them. We fished with our kids as they dropped bunches of foul language & then proceeded to talk about fighting people, slamming people on the ground, and then ultimately sexual intercourse. These kids were not role models for our young ones. Oh and they were watching a kid that is about 6 years old. 5. The bathrooms, while they were. It the worst we've ever seen, they need a make over. 6. The lake is awesome. Bring a kayak or canoe if you have it. 7. Our fire pit had not been cleaned out in a very very long time.

The grounds are very well-kept and manicured. There is a cute little mini golf area and all the amenities you could ask for at an RV park. It is so lush and green around here that you feel like you're in an oasis. They have little touches throughout the park that make it unique and its these touches that I appreciate. We broke a leaf spring on the way here and the owner was absolutely amazing trying to help us. We couldn't have asked for a better place to have this happen as I feel secure here and feel like we're not being a burden. You can just tell these are just amazing people.

Best part of the place, and it's a great place, is the people. I use a walker and guy there insisted on assisting me by taking me to the office in the golf cart. I really wish we could have spent more time especially since we have grandkids and they would have loved exploring this great resort.

On…read moreoccasion, I've been able to get friends to take me places or at least go for a drive to get me out. One such drive was to Whitewater State Park. Whitewater State Park was the 16th state park in Indiana and was founded in 1949. It's actually the third largest. It has 200 acre Whitewater Lake along with shoreline hiking, flat-water boating, swimming, fishing, and camping opportunities. It has 9 miles of horseback riding trails. The park area was originally purchased by Union, Fayette, Franklin, and Wayne counties to serve as a memorial for those lost during World War II. Additional activities include picnic areas with shelters (reservations required), interpretive naturalist services, 1 boat launch ramp at Whitewater Lake, bridle trails, cabins, fishing/ice fishing, hiking trails, canoe/paddleboat/rowboat rentals, swimming, and two marinas. Camping includes 236 electric sites, 45 non-electric, and 37 horsemen's primitive sites. There's a camp store, dumping station, and youth tent area. There are five hiking trails - all are considered moderate in difficulty. They range from 1-2.7 miles in length, though at least one also has a short loop. There really isn't a single trail that I'd say is accessible, though there are parts of trails I was able to access. That said, Whitewater in general isn't particularly wheelchair friendly other than in the more truly "public" areas. As an experienced wheelchair user, I doubt I'd head out on these trails alone. Whitewater hosts a variety of events throughout the year. While I wish it was more accessible here, I still consider this one of Indiana's more underappreciated natural gems.

WORST EMPLOYEES EVER!!!! ZERO STARS!!! let me start off by…read moresaying, the park itself is nice. the lake is nice, the spots are nice. they dont have a dog park which majorly sucks, and theyre overflow parking is a joke, 4 spots. but other than that the park is fine. However, the employees are the rudest, pushiest, most argumentative people i have ever met at a campground. and it starts right from check in and never stops. theres one guy (we call him Rambo because he walks around with a gun acting like hes a tough ass) who insists on "helping" you back your camper into your spot, like we havent been doing this for 10years... and he screams at you and gets an attitude if you dont do EXACTLY what he says. ITS NOT NECESSARY RAMBO ! Get over yourself and leave the people to do their own parking. and second!! and this is a BIG ONE, we witnessed and recorded the 2 male employees literally tackling and wrestling a camper to the ground and holding him down, smashing his face in the rocks... all because he came to pick up a little cargo trailer after check out time, and apparently owed them more money. THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO TACKLE YOUR GUESTS TO THE GROUND, EVERRRRR!!!!!!! and both the employees had weapons, Rambo with his gun, and Crocodile DunDee (as we called him) with his huge knife on his hip. (they didnt use the weapons at all, but still had them on their hips, completely unnecessary) cops came for hours after the incident and the camper is pressing charges against them. and that was just one situation that happened while we there. They called our buddy who staying there at the same time , screaming at him that they were having a tow truck sent out immediately to tow his camper out of there because he was a day late on rent. So he rushed home from work in the middle of the day to go to the office and handle it, only to find out that his rent wasn't due for another 4 days!!! and you think he got even a hint of an apology from anyone, NO! DO NOT STAY HERE, do not give these people your money!!! which by the way is only cash because they dont accept cards, and they make you pay everything up front with No Refunds, absolutely no exceptions. These owners/workers are crooks, theyre bullies, theyre rash and pushy and unapologetic. you couldnt pay me enough money to stay here again. ever. go somewhere else , anywhere else. especially if you work on the road, they seem to have a major problem with workers, like us. absolute trash, they should be embarrassed.
