I rarely complain, but this has been my worst experience with a doctor's office by far. Please go…read moreto any other doctor to spare yourself this terrible experience and the time and money you'll lose here. Other doctors I've told have been appalled by TriHealth's practices. (*Everything TriHealth said in their reply is completely untrue--I explain below) They made so many mistakes in both their admin and their medical care in just 3 visits (should have just been 1) that cost me lots of money and time, I became sick, and I believe they violated HIPAA and APA ethics, and they've refused to rectify any of it. I came in just because I needed a primary doctor to write a referral (deviated septum). Very simple. The doctor said that part of his intake process is doing some blood tests (I had no issues that needed a blood test). I followed the instructions and got the blood tests, only to later get a bill for around $2000 because I found out no insurance (except some executive ones) ever covers most of these tests for a totally healthy 29-year-old because they are deemed completely medically unnecessary. All major guidelines that health plans reference recommend no routine blood work at all for a healthy 29-year-old of normal weight, except an optional lipid panel. It's like telling a healthy person with no accident or problem it's necessary to get an x-ray of their entire body just to see if any bones happen to be broken. Of course insurance will deny it. And they never told me these tests were optional, that no major insurance covers them (they had my insurance on file), or that it could be so expensive, going against AMA ethics, which say physicians should alert patients of likely financial burdens for non-urgent care. If you come here, expect for them to prescribe things you do not need without telling you insurance says in their policies they cannot cover them, leaving you with massive bills for things you didn't need. They also failed to communicate on a number of other things. I showed up for the blood tests the first time, only to find out I needed to fast for these tests. The doctor and office never mentioned this, and it wasn't in any of the paperwork. So I had to come back another day after all that time waiting. They scheduled a follow-up appointment to discuss the blood test results, and when I got there, they started looking for the results in their system, only to find out they hadn't received them yet, so I had to schedule another appointment after this wasted one because they failed to check. And they billed both of these appointments to insurance. On top of that, insurance said TriHealth didn't submit medical records for that 3rd appointment, so coverage was denied, and I had to contact them to submit them. I also got very sick because of medicine they prescribed for something small that didn't help and that other doctors later said didn't make sense to prescribe for my situation and that it was a bad decision. And the referral (the only reason I came) didn't even work because TriHealth didn't submit it the correct way. I asked them to redo it, and it was still wrong, so I gave up and went to another doctor. The person they put me in touch with, Huda (COO of TriHealth) has not solved any of these problems or taken any accountability. Instead, when I kindly asked for her to send me what ICD-10 codes and the claim they sent to insurance, which they are legally required to do under HIPAA, she refused to and then terminated me from TriHealth! I asked for my legal right, and she terminated me. Another time, she had ignored my email for an entire week, so I called the number in her work signature. She then got upset with me for calling her personal number, even after I told her it's the number in her work signature. No apology for ignoring my email; just blaming me for calling her on the number she gave me in her work signature. Then she continued to use the number in her signature. That sums up TriHealth--make mistakes then blame others and make false accusations (I wouldn't be surprised if they reply to this with more gaslighting, false accusations, and refusal to admit they were wrong). Save yourself to trouble and go elsewhere.
