Being female and going into an audio shop can make you feel like a creature entering a foreign terrarium, pounced upon immediately and preyed on by the other life forms in the tank, ready to suck the life and money out of you.... while making you feel like a complete idiot. Not so here!
Now, I must say I've DJed for many years so have a decent understanding of sound equipment and some of the technical aspects and what I like and don't like, but those guys didn't know that. Prepared for the worst, I visited with a friend who worked here many years ago. I was in the market for a new wifi stereo amp and speakers, and the staff was polite without being demeaning, and answered my endless questions. The listening lounge was busy and as I wanted to test out some speakers, they were gracious enough to hook up 2 or 3 different sets for me to hear ....none of which I got in the end as I didn't like them. Nonetheless, I did purchase an awesome Marantz amp. Overall I found the prices to be fair , some things were on the high side but they have regular deals/sales.
I'm in the market now for a 'smart' TV and will probably return there to buy it. read more
