I am well aware that some parks restrict the number of dogs one can bring, and I understand why that may be the case. On the flip side, I always scout a park, before I bring my dogs out of the car. I looked this park up in Yelp and thought it'd be nice. From what I saw, it was. However, unlike some parks where the parking lot is immediately adjacent to the park, this park has quite a bit of green space between the main lot and the fenced dog areas. Even the secondary or smaller parking lot is separated by 2 small foot bridges and a bit of green space. As beautiful as the area is, I am not comfortable traversing the large open areas with 3. It would be great for 1 or 2, though. I do encourage others to consider this park, though.

I visited this location a handful of times when I purchased the month pass. Like every location they have events I.e. bingo and karaoke. I found this location to be the cleanest. The staff are all friendly. My last visit I had the pleasure of meeting Patrick. When we crossed over the bridge Patrick introduced himself and his sweet Golden (she was actually red). Patrick could not have been nicer. He answered my questions and was very personable. I noticed he also did the same with other guests that came on that side. He's definitely an asset to Fetch. If you have never been to Fetch I would highly recommend this location. Your pup(s) will thank you.

I will be honest, this will not be a good dog park for everyone because... The Pro's: *Plenty of space for the dogs to run and get their zoomies out. *Trash cans, Benches for seating, and A doggy water fountain to drink from are available. *Very clean for the most part. You're not stepping over a bunch of poop piles pet parents didn't get up! The Con's: *There's no "Small dog/Large dog" separation. So if your tiny dogs can't hang with the big dogs, this won't be a great place to come! *There were a TON of dogs... when we visited there were at least 20-30 dogs easily. So if you're dog doesn't like being in a big "dog crowd" this won't be a great place for you in the peak times... you may have to beat the crowd by coming early or something but after noon 5ish was super crowded. *There are some imperfections in the landscaping. There are areas where there's a little rocky and just watching the dogs run I was really holding my breath that none of them pulled anything, slid, or stepped too hard on a rock of some sort! It could get ugly real quick! So if the owners out there please patch the area by the sitting stone wall up with grass. Other than those few things it was a great time. The entire park is beautifully kept and a great addition to Smyrna area! We will be back!

There are fairly large patches of dirt/mud where the seated areas (3 benches in the park) are. You can see areas where they have tried putting fake grass down to spark growth but it may take a while (I'm not an expert on this). I can see where this can be muddy if you go after it rained so beware of that. They do have a water fountain and it appears as if other owners have left water bowls there for regular visitors. Some of the owners know each other so that's always a plus which has a true dog lover 'community' feel to it. Deducted a star because the mosquitos were RAMPANT!! Harbins Dog Park has three large fenced areas. One for small dogs, one for families with mixed sizes and one really large area for big dogs. The openings to each area have two gates to ensure your dog doesn't make a break for it and the small dog area has playground equipment for the little fellas! All have a shaded sitting area for owners, doggie water fountain, plastic bag dispensers and garbage cans. There is also a paved track that loops around the football field and doggie park. What makes Harbins Dog Park particularly nice is its location. A secluded area on the opposite side of the football field with its own parking. On days where there are no other dogs, we find ourselves watching as cars pull up to see if our little rascal will have a small playmate or if its a larger dog... and he watches too! We either say, "Yaaay, here comes a friend to play!" and he goes bananas or "Sorry, no playmate" and he shrugs it off as if to say "oh well!" I swear he seems to understand! Is that weird or is that a dog park thing? I'm so new to all of this I have no idea what's normal. NOTE: There are reports (on the park Facebook page) that some owners dogs have been aggressive and the owner did not manage their aggression, but so far in 8 visits there have been no serious incidents that I've witnessed. We did have a little weenie dog try to attack our little guy just seconds after walking through the gate, but the owner was quick to react. Downhill from the doggie and football area you'll find a toddler playground, open fields for family sports, restrooms, and a 1 mile paved loop trail. Overall, a very quiet little area for those who don't care to walk the more populated area of Harbins Park just up the road. 2018/67

Oakhurst is dog heaven - I'm so thankful that this beautiful plot of land has been preserved and set aside for dogs to enjoy. There is just one area (no separation between small and large), but the park is big and includes pools, an open space, agility equipment, and fenced in shaded trails. Though it is completely fenced, if you have a smaller dog, you will probably definitely want to follow them around the first time you go. It's that big. The first time I took my puppy, someone actually offered to help me go find him because he had disappeared. Luckily, just at that moment, he came running out of the woods. There's also a small pool that you can fill up with water for your dogs and several water bowls. The park is a bit hidden, so you really have to look for the chain-link fence. There is no one area for small or big dogs. And there are several areas for seating. For me, this would not be an every day park, but maybe once a month for the new smells and new dogs.
