So with a necessary permit from the city is was $114.00 plus $214.00 rental, over 100 bucks more than: Hussle. City trash also have a limit of 300 lbs. per dumpster-(we had more than pillows, Cotton Candy and lace). Hussle upwards of 900 lbs. So the best rated, that gave me specific details, responded quickly was "Hussle." The workers are busy, diligent, and drive a wide region. I rented the dumpster for 250 with the tip in that-2026-for an entire week. Our garage door is being installed tomorrow, so preparing the garage and purging every bag, every bachelor sock, and old clothing junk pile took me several hours working alone. Mine had a lid on each side at the end of each day I'd close the lids. I worked at a slow pace for small increments of time. I was very careful to take all flat things and to flatten things as much as possible put them in the beginning or together later, which afforded me lots of room overall in the process, kind of like a tetris trash game-utilize your space smart like an astronaut not a careless pirate. The guys were about there business but also average guys that can relate and answer any concerns. I got quotes as high as $1,450, most were for $650-instead paid under $300.00. Humble, hardworking, genuine, and good communicaters via text. Why pay Disney prices, when you can get down to earth workers, who don't mind working hard at Knott's Berry farm prices. From the start, Hustle Hard Movers took a different approach. They were confident, straightforward, and explained that they've handled many similar sofas and could easily disassemble it for removal. Their confidence immediately put me at ease. Michael and his associate arrived about 30 minutes after the scheduled time, but once they got started, they worked incredibly efficiently. They quickly removed the top section of the sofa and had everything out within 15 minutes. It was honestly impressive how easy they made it look. I decided to go with Martin Hauling Demolition and Cleaning Up because his estimate was reasonable. After I received the quote, I realized I forgot to mention that I had stairs, so I updated him. He increased the price by $100. I understood the price increase and luckily, he was available the same day and arrived within a couple of hours. However, when he arrived, he increased the price by another $100. Sweet Jesus! I was ready to cancel, but I really wanted everything gone, so I reluctantly agreed. He said it was a lot but I took pictures and attached them when I asked for a quote. So he knew how much prior to his arrival. On the other hand, he was able to park his truck directly below my balcony and ended up tossing everything over the balcony into the truck. After all, he never had to carry anything down the stairs so I didn't feel the additional increase was justified. The job itself was completed in less than an hour, and I told him I wasn't comfortable with the final price. To his credit, he asked what I thought was fair, and we agreed on a lower amount. Even so, I still paid more than I expected and more than his original quote. I would give 5 stars for being available the same day, arriving quickly, and getting the job done. I would give 1 star for the pricing experience and the unexpected increases. Because of that, I wouldn't use or recommend Martin Hauling Demolition and Cleaning Up.
