I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. Let's start with the good - he did get most of the stains out and did a great job tightening up our carpet. He was also on time and easy to communicate with. The not-so-good: the main thing that irked me was that he put our furniture on top of our other furniture. This includes an air purifier that was on the dirty floor of our bedroom which was moved to be on top of our clean bed. He also put our tables on top of our couches. Not the cleanest method to clean. When I've hired Stanley Steamer before they come with 2 guys who move all the heavy furniture around and place everything on these pad-looking things. They never put things on top of things. They also ask you to move the smaller things out of the way. Also, he also wasn't able to get out of a couple of minor stains. I'd say he was about as expensive as Stanley Steamer, but not as effective. All and all, he was a nice guy but his methodology is questionable.

I have massive flooding with red dirt mixed in rendering the building useless. I moved to Georgia recently. I trusted this man to provide me with a sound structure for my new farm. I'm a widow and he and Robert knew that. I had to threaten and hound them to get Robert to come out and try and fix the floor once. The repair was useless. He tried to caulk the concrete floor under a door. Of course that did not work. Any idiot knows that. They don't answer phones or return calls. They left me to deal with this. DO NOT USE ATHENS METAL PRODUCTS!!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT.

From a neighbor reference, I had Lewis Flooring install hardwood flooring in our bedroom. When…read morepreparing the estimate, I stated that I wanted the floors paste waxed, not polyurethane. They stated that was not their norm, but would'nt be a problem. Their subcontracted installers did a great job on the floor installation and stain. Lewis Flooring came out to wax and buff the floors. They arrived with an empty can of paste wax. After a trip to Lowes/Home Depot, they began to apply the wax. Not using cheese cloth as recommended on the can, they applied the wax with household rags, resulting in various thicknesses of wax on the floor. They also forgot to bring a Lambs Wool buffing pad, again as recommended, and used nylon carpet remnants smearing the overly waxed floors. The moved the furniture back ending at 5PM on a Friday. I spent the next Saturday and Sunday removing portions of the wax and re-buffing with the appropriate pads.
