She's very busy but always makes time to listen to all my questions. I feel comfortable with her and can ask her anything! I definitely recommend her if you are pregnant or thinking about pregnancy.

I read some negative reviews online but was willing to take a chance if it guaranteed I would be treated by a provider knowledgable in menopause and HRT. Her office requests newly established patients arrive 30 minutes prior to the visit. I respected her policy and arrived 30 minutes early. With this policy in place, I assumed that she valued timeliness and that she would be on time for my visit. I ended up waiting one hour and 45 minutes for my visit. When she finally arrived, my visit lasted less than 15 minutes. No apology or explantation for the excessively long wait. During the brief appointment, she asked what my husband did for a living, which felt unnecessary and unrelated to my medical care. At the end of the visit, she ordered labs and told me her nurse would return to collect the samples. That never happened. After waiting another 15 minutes, I finally stepped out to ask what the delay was and found the nurse sitting at the desk eating lunch :-/ My next and last visit with her was a telehealth visit scheduled for 1215 to discuss my labs. I sat on the computer for 45 minutes before hanging up. I hoped my first visit was just a fluke and not a trend. I decided to find another provider who respects my time. I would prefer to drive to another city to get the care I deserve.

The doctor required an ultrasound, presented as a routine alternative to a pelvic exam due to her virginity, but failed to inform us it would be coded as diagnostic, not preventive. This lack of informed consent led to a $1,128.20 bill, as our Cigna PPO plan didn't cover it, despite national average ultrasound costs being $120-$800 compared to the hospital's $1,880.33 charge. We were not warned of the financial obligation, which we'd have declined. Dr. Kapu promised a three-month prescription but gave only one month, requiring unnecessary follow-ups. The office's lack of transparency about costs and treatment plans was frustrating. Seek a provider who prioritizes clear consent and billing practices. We could have used Teladoc for free to get the birth control and not be required to do an ultrasound or exam but wanted to become established with someone local who we could trust. She also suggested my daughter try a Gluten free diet. When we asked her to explain what exactly a Gluten is, she told us to "google it" then she said bread basically. My daughter told her she doesn't regularly eat bread and Dr. Kapu then told her to eat lots of Gluten instead. WOW..... Nobody will help with this bill. The doctor's office refers us to the billing department at the hospital, who refers us back to our insurance company, who refers us back to the doctors office, and so on... We're seeking a family practice in Abilene, TX, independent of Hendrick Health System.

It was extremely painful and I was spotting red and green discharge for days and it was burning so bad! I called to see if they could check me because I was thinking I might of got an infection, but receptionist told me that it was normal and I needed to wait 6 weeks to be seen for my next apt. Absolutely not! I called a different OBGYN on the North side and they were able to see me the next day! They gave me antibiotics and were very nice! Do not go to Dr. Bass he and his staff are so rude and careless about their patients!!

He decides to give me a breast examination that was truly identified as torched. I would do 5 mammograms an hour to not ever endure that again. I am a runner....he suggests that I am not as runners are very skinny...they look like runners. (I run many 5k's, did the San Antonio Rock and Roll half and did the Ragnar Relay from Fredricksburg to Austin). I asked about hormones as I felt I was in menopause and I was having trouble with my weight? He asked me "do you want hormones or not?" I told him he was the doctor, what did he think. All in all this was the worst, most disappointing interaction with a doctor I have ever encountered. He is rude, arrogant and narcissistic. Find another doctor to go to.
